The implementation of an intelligent road network system requires many sensors for acquiring data from roads,bridges,and vehicles,thereby enabling comprehensive monitoring and regulation of road *** this large number of required sensors,the sensors must be cost-effective,dependable,and environmentally ***,we show a laser upgrading strategy for coal tar,a low-value byproduct of coal distillation,to manufacture flexible strain-gauge sensors with maximum gauge factors of 15.20 and 254.17 for tension and compression ***,we completely designed the supporting processes of sensor placement,data acquisition,processing,wireless communication,and information decoding to demonstrate the application of our sensors in traffic and bridge vibration *** novel strategy of using lasers to upgrade coal tar for use as a sensor not only achieves the goal of turning waste into a resource but also provides an approach to satisfy large-scale application requirements for enabling intelligent road networks.

This paper proposes a novel measurement architecture aimed at accurately characterizing the inherent nonlinear characteristics of RF power devices and extracting nonlinear wideband scatter parameters. By introducing two-tone frequency impedance synthesis and wide-band phase reference, nonlinear wide-band scatter parameters can be extracted from the measurement data. This approach is verified on a known parameter PA to assess the effectiveness of the measurement architecture. Experimental verification has shown that this model has a high degree of fit with actual measured data, significantly supporting the performance optimization of RF devices. This study provides an important tool for RF front-end design and device measurement. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The design, fabrication and measurement process of silicon based waveguide transitions working from 500 GHz to 750 GHz is reported in this paper. Gap waveguide is applied to the waveguide cavity design. The electromagnetic bandgap characteristic helps to split the three dimensional structure into slices. Hence the waveguide transition could be composed of thin gold coating silicon layers. Micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) technology is used for the fabrication of periodic pins and multi-step transitions. A metallic clamp is designed for measurement. Measured results show that the transmission loss is better than 0.13 dB/mm and the reflection coefficient is lower than -9 dB. © 2024 SPIE.

In the process of data acquisition of complex underground media in the microwave ground exploration test system, electromagnetic echoes are susceptible to various noises, resulting in the ambiguity of the in-phase axis of the diffraction hyperbolic curve, which seriously affects the subsequent interpretation and processing. Traditional denoising algorithms are difficult to meet the requirements of denoising complex data. To solve this problem, a microwave profile denoising algorithm based on Deep-KSVD is proposed in this paper. By combining the K-SVD sparse denoising algorithm with the idea of deep learning, the problem of easy loss of original signal and low computational efficiency in the original denoising algorithm is overcome. Firstly, the data is divided into small data blocks, and then an equivalent learnable scheme is used to replace the OMP algorithm in the tracking stage. Finally, each data block is denoised by tracking. The weighted average of the tracked data blocks is obtained, and the accuracy of the algorithm is verified by the actual data. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Aiming at the shortcomings of low recognition accuracy, few recognition types, and poor anti-interference ability in existing automatic modulation recognition methods, a new modulation recognition method based on dual-channel fusion hybrid neural network (DCFHNN) was proposed. By utilizing In-phase/Quadrature (I/Q) data and Amplitude/Phase (A/P) data as inputs to the DCFHNN, the complementary information in different domains can enrich the feature dimension. The spatial features of the dual-channel data are extracted by the deep residual shrinkage network (DRSN), then fuse the extracted features and sent to the bidirectional gated recurrent unit (BiGRU) to extract temporal features. Furthermore, adding the attention mechanism helps to improve the effectiveness of feature extraction by enhancing the focus on key features. Experiments are evaluated on open source RadioML2016.10a dataset, the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms other deep learning methods. When the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is above OdB, the classification accuracy can reach 92.3%, effectively improving automatic modulation recognition's accuracy and robustness. © 2023 IEEE.

The development of heavy metal mining area will pollute the surrounding soil and do great harm to the ecological environment and human health. Soil classification in different mining areas is of great significance to soil management and environmental pollution control. Soil is easily affected by matrix effect due to its complex physical properties and composition. Thus, accurately classifying soils is a challenge. Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy has developed rapidly in the past two decades. It has been widely used in the detection of various physical samples due to its characteristics of fast analysis speed and no need for sample pretreatment. However, traditional LIBS technology has disadvantages such as low sensitivity, obvious noise and poor repeatability, which affect the accuracy of quantitative analysis. In this paper, a soil classification method based on principal component analysis (PCA) based laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and random forest (RF) algorithm was proposed, and the standard soil samples from six different mining areas were accurately identified and classified. The final prediction results based on this combination show that the accuracy of soil classification by PCA-RF machine learning model can reach 97.86%. From the aspect of classification accuracy, it can be found that laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy combined with PCA-RF can achieve rapid and accurate classification of soil in different mining areas, which also provides a new method for soil classification in heavy metal mining areas. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Recently, with an aim to improve the fault diagnosis accuracy of filter circuit in electronic equipment, ensemble learning method, a branch of machine learning has been emerging as a promising tool for applications with electronic area. To uncover its potentials in filter circuit, a soft fault diagnosis method based on heterogeneous ensemble learning is illustrated in this paper. The proposed method does not need to analysis the underlying transfer function of the circuit. Alternatively, it explored an effective ensemble model for fault diagnosis with three weak learners: linear regression, support vector machine (SVM) and decision tree, which establish the mapping function between fault features and output voltage. Then the fault classification also can be achieved by the proposed model. Finally, the experimental results with Sallen-key filter circuit demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms several state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Electromechanical coupling properties of a self-powered vibration sensing device for near-surface observation tower monitoring

The wind-induced vibration of a remote sensing tower is the key factor affecting the stability of image sensing and structural reliability. Monitoring the vibration of a long-time unattended tower is critical to its proper operation. Currently, most monitoring devices are supplied with wired power or battery, significantly limiting their practical applications in remote areas. In this paper,a self-powered vibration sensing device based on hybrid electromechanical conversion mechanisms is proposed. The device depends on a cylindrical magnetic levitation structure sensitive to ambient vibration for transferring mechanical energy and is taken as a dual-functional heterogeneous integrated system comprising electromagnetic, piezoelectric, and triboelectric generators. When the device vibrates under environmental force driving, the suspension magnet reciprocates vertically and generates induced electromagnetic energy, which is used to power the device. Moreover, the triboelectric and piezoelectric voltages,respectively originating from magnet impact on two separation friction materials and magnetic field repulsion-induced strain deformation of a piezoelectric sheet, are used as the synergistic sensing signals. To improve the output energy, a set of dualsegmented annular coils is designed in an electromagnetic generator, which greatly avoids the obstructive effect of the suspended magnet on the magnetic flux change at its end. Compared with a whole isochoric coil, it increases the output voltage by 78.3%.For the triboelectric sensing module, a silicone film with a large specific surface area is fabricated via 3D modification, which improves the output voltage by 29.4%. Furthermore, a pair of piezoelectric sensing modules is set to improve the accuracy of comparative sensing data. The experimental measurement shows that the device maintains a high sensitivity of 6.711 V(m s;);and excellent linearity of 0.991 in the range of 0–14 m s;. This work provides a practical strategy
