Learning-based tracking control of AUV:Mixed policy improvement and game-based disturbance rejection

A mixed adaptive dynamic programming(ADP)scheme based on zero-sum game theory is developed to address optimal control problems of autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV)systems subject to disturbances and safe *** combining prior dynamic knowledge and actual sampled data,the proposed approach effectively mitigates the defect caused by the inaccurate dynamic model and significantly improves the training speed of the ADP ***,the dataset is enriched with sufficient reference data collected based on a nominal model without considering modelling ***,the control object interacts with the real environment and continuously gathers adequate sampled data in the *** comprehensively leverage the advantages of model-based and model-free methods during training,an adaptive tuning factor is introduced based on the dataset that possesses model-referenced information and conforms to the distribution of the real-world environment,which balances the influence of model-based control law and data-driven policy gradient on the direction of policy *** a result,the proposed approach accelerates the learning speed compared to data-driven methods,concurrently also enhancing the tracking performance in comparison to model-based control ***,the optimal control problem under disturbances is formulated as a zero-sum game,and the actor-critic-disturbance framework is introduced to approximate the optimal control input,cost function,and disturbance policy,***,the convergence property of the proposed algorithm based on the value iteration method is ***,an example of AUV path following based on the improved line-of-sight guidance is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Frequency combs with equally spaced frequency lines show great potentials for applications in spectroscopy,imag-ing,communications,and so *** the terahertz frequency region,the quantum cascade laser(QCL)is an ideal radiation source for frequency comb and dual-comb *** systematic evaluation of phase noise characteristics of terahertz QCL frequency comb and dual-comb sources is of great importance for high precision *** this work,we present detailed measurements and analysis of the phase noise characteristics of terahertz QCL frequency comb and dual-comb sources emitting around 4.2 THz with repetition frequencies of~6.2 *** measurement results for the current noise of the direct current(DC)sources(that are used to electrically pump the terahertz QCLs)indicate that at 100 Hz,the current noise for DC-1 and DC-2 is 0.3895 and 0.0982 nA/Hz1/2,*** levels of current noise can be safely *** phase noise of radio frequency(RF)generators(that are employed for injection locking and phase locking),intermode beatnotes,and dual-comb signals with and without phase-locked loop(PLL)are all measured and *** experimental results show that in the free-running mode,the phase noise of the intermode beatnote signals is always lower than that of the dual-comb sig-nals across all ***,the phase noise induced by the RF generators is *** employing the phase lock-ing technique,the phase noise of the intermode beatnote and dual-comb signals in the low offset frequency band can be signifi-cantly *** an offset frequency of 100 Hz,the measured phase noise values of the dual-comb line without and with phase locking are 15.026 and-64.801 dBc/Hz,respectively.

One-bit splitting deceptive jamming against SAR

One-bit quantization is a promising technique due to its performance retention and complexity reduction in a deceptive jammer against synthetic aperture radar(SAR).In this paper,the 1-bit quantization technology is utilized to agilely generate split false targets in the SAR imagery once the radar signal is intercepted,which reduces the complexity of the jammer significantly with guaranteed focusing quality.A single-frequency threshold is used to decompose harmonics incurred by the 1-bit quantization,and its parameters are adjusted through different pulse repetition intervals to provide steerable *** this way,the SAR signal is split into coupled false scatterers during the 1-bit *** further deploying amplitude,time-delay,and Doppler frequency modulations on the 1-bit intercepted signal,the split false targets are *** proposed approach is compared with different deceptive jamming methods to show its validity in effectiveness and cost,and numerical experiments are also presented for verification.

Valleytronic materials can provide new degrees of freedom to future electronic *** this work,the concepts of the ferrovalley metal(FVM)and valley gapless semiconductor(VGS)are proposed,which can be achieved in valleytronic bilayer systems by electric field *** valleytronic bilayer systems,the interaction between out-of-plane ferroelectricity and A-type antiferromagnetism can induce layer-polarized anomalous valley Hall(LP-AVH)*** K and−K valleys of FVM are both metallic,and electron and hole carriers simultaneously *** the extreme case,the FVM can become VGS by analogizing spin gapless semiconductor(SGS).Moreover,it is proposed that the valley splitting enhancement and valley polarization reversal can be achieved by electric field engineering in valleytronic bilayer *** the bilayer RuBr_(2)as an example,our proposal is confirmed by the first-principle *** FVM and VGS can be achieved in bilayer RuBr_(2)by applying electric *** appropriate electric field range,increasing electric field can enhance valley splitting,and the valley polarization can be reversed by flipping electric field *** effectively tune valley properties by electric field in bilayer systems,the parent monolayer should possess out-of-plane magnetization,and have large valley *** results shed light on the possible role of electric field in tuning valleytronic bilayer systems,and provide a way to design the ferrovalley-related material by electric field.

To address the challenges of leakage, misdetection, and low accuracy caused by environmental complexity, object occlusion, and insufficient lighting in smoke and fire detection within warehouse scenarios, this paper proposes a cross-scale multi-branch feature fusion network for smoke and fire detection, named SF-YOLO. Firstly, a multi-branch feature enhancement module, Res2Net-C, is proposed to introduce an attention mechanism using a multi-branch feature fusion network, which not only extends the sensory field of the network, but also enhances the ability of extracting effective information, while effectively suppressing the interference of irrelevant information. It effectively improves detection performance under complex environmental conditions and in the presence of object occlusion. Secondly, a cross-scale feature fusion network structure, MSFPN, is proposed, which achieves effective complementation and fusion of high-level and low-level information by establishing hopping connections between features at different scales, and significantly improves the recognition accuracy of the type and location of the smoke and fire in low-light conditions. In addition, the added small target detection layer further improves the network's ability to detect small targets. Finally, in order to better adapt to pyrotechnic targets with variable morphology, EIoU is adopted as the bounding box loss function. Test results on a self-built dataset show that SF-YOLO achieves a mean accuracy rate (mAP) of 87.5% in the task of detecting smoke and fire under multiple environmental factors in a warehouse scenario, proving its effectiveness and usefulness. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Pre-trained language model-based methods for Chinese Grammatical Error Correction (CGEC) are categorized into Seq2Seq and Seq2Edit types. However, both Seq2Seq and Seq2Edit models depend on high-quality training data significantly. Considering the strong generation and inference ability of large language models (LLMs), we propose a large language model-guided optimization training method to exploit LLMs to extract error knowledge to optimize the traditional CGEC model training process. On the one hand, we use error types and confusion sets as extra knowledge to guide LLMs to generate diverse pseudo data, thus extending the error distribution of our training data. On the other hand, LLMs are utilized to infer the predicted results from our CGEC models and obtain the re-training data, thus iteratively optimizing our pre-trained CGEC models. Experiments on two benchmark datasets show that our LLMs-guided optimization method with small-scale training data can achieve comparable results with baseline models with large-scale training data. Detailed comparison experiments demonstrate that both the early deviser pseudo data and the later re-training data are extremely useful for traditional CGEC model optimization training, and can benefit from each other. Positive effects of PVP in MIC:Preparation and characterization of Al-Core heterojunction fibers

The core-shell metastable intermolecular composites(MIC)have attracted much attention in the past few years due to their unique ***,the preparation of Al-Core heterojunction fibers using PVP as a template is *** nano-Al was directly added to the precursor solution of cupric acetate monohydrate(CAM)/Polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP),and the initial Al@CAM/PVP fibers were obtained via *** core-shell MIC fibers are then obtained by calcining the initial *** morphology,structure,and composition of Al-core MIC fibers were characterized,that the energetic fibers calcined at 300℃,350℃,and 400℃have a core-shell structure with shell compositions CuxO and PVP,CuxO and Cu O,*** energy release characteristics of Al-core MIC were investigated,and preliminary ignition tests were performed using an ignition temperature measuring instrument and a pulsed *** energetic fibers calcined at 300℃exhibited unique *** decomposition of PVP in the shell layer promoted exotherm,and a low-temperature exothermic peak was shown at 372-458℃.Lower ignition temperatures and higher flame heights were observed in the combustion tests than calcination at 350℃and 400℃.An unexpected result was that PVP can play a positive role in Al/CuO ***,this preparation method provided an idea for the integrated preparation of core-shell Al-Core MIC fibers and tuning the properties of MIC.

Implications of the extremely hot summer of 2022 on urban ozone control in China

Frequent occurrences of extreme heat are causing severe ozone pollution over *** study examined the driving factors of urban ozone pollution in China during the extremely hot summer of 2022 and the impact of emission control strategies using surface measurements and the GEOS-Chem *** results show that ozone pollution was extremely severe in summer 2022,with a significant rebound by 12-15 ppbv in the North China Plain(NCP),Yangtze River Delta(YRD),and Sichuan basin(SCB),compared to *** over the NCP,the MDA8(maximum daily 8-hourly average)ozone exceeded 160 ppbv,and the number of ozone exceedances was over 42 *** on an IPR(integrated process rate)analysis,the authors found that the net chemical production was the dominant factor contributing to the strong ozone increase in summer *** example,in June over the NCP,the net chemical production resulted in an increase by 3.08 Gg d^(−1)(∼270%)in ozone mass *** simulations showed that both NO_(x)(nitrogen oxides)and VOC(volatile organic compound)reductions were important over the NCP,and NO_(x)reductions were more important than VOCs over southern *** keep the ozone of 2022 at the same level as 2021,a joint reduction of NO_(x)and VOCs by at least 50%-60%would have been *** study highlights the urgency to develop effective ozone management since extreme heat will become more frequent.
