Advancements in pretrained and large language models have significantly propelled the development of text summarization in recent years, making the generation of fluent and readable text possible. However, issues related to factuality, faithfulness, and controllability have limited the application of this technology in specific contexts such as news, medical, and reviews, hindering its adoption. To address these challenges, the scholarly attention has increasingly focused on more effective and feasible summarization methods, particularly emphasizing the enhancement effects of entities in text summarization. Although a growing number of studies have integrated entities as key elements within summarization systems, there is still a lack of comprehensive reviews on the methods for integrating entities into text summarization systems, analyzing the challenges faced and anticipating future research directions. Therefore, we have systematically organized and thoroughly examined recent studies in this area. We categorize various entity integration techniques according to the stages of the text summarization process, conduct an in-depth analysis and comprehensive evaluation of these techniques at each stage. Based on our findings, we identify the current effects and limitations of research on the integration of entity analysis with text summarization and discuss potential future research directions. © 2024 ACM.

Lattice-strain engineering has demonstrated its capability to influence the electronic structure and catalytic performance of ***,we present a facile method for inducing thermal strain in cobalt/molybdenum nitride rod-shaped structures(denoted Co/Mo_(2)N)via ammonia-assisted reduction,which effectively modulating the HER *** optimized Co/Mo_(2)N-500,characterized by 3%tensile lattice strain,demonstrates exceptional HER activity with lower overpotentials of140 mV and 184 mV at high current density of 1000 mA cm^(-2)in alkaline freshwater and seawater electrolytes,***/Mo_(2)N also exhibits excellent long-term durability even at a high current density of 300 mA cm^(-2),surpassing its counterparts and benchmark Pt/C *** functional theory calculations validate that the tensile strain optimizes the d-band states,water dissociation,and hydrogen adsorption kinetics of the strained Mo_(2)N in Co/Mo_(2)N,thereby improving its catalytic *** work provides valuable insights into controlling lattice strain to develop highly efficient electrocatalysts towards advanced electrocatalytic applications.

Bulk modulus is an important mechanical property in the optimal design and selection of intermetallic *** this study,bulk modulus datasets of intermetallic compounds were collected,and the features affecting the bulk modulus of intermetallics were screened via feature *** features B_(cal),dB_(avg),and TIE(corresponding to calculated bulk modulus,mean bulk modulus,and third ionization energy,respectively)were found to be the dominant factors influencing bulk modulus and can be extended to other multi-component ***,we predicted the bulk modulus with an accuracy of 95%using surrogate machine learning models with the selected features,and these features were also demonstrated to be effective for high-entropy ***,symbolic regression provided an expression for the relationship between bulk modulus and the screened *** machine learning models provide a new approach for optimizing and predicting the bulk moduli of intermetallic compounds.

Effect of Operation Parameters on the Thermal Characteristics in a Planar Solid Oxide Fuel Cell

Effective operation strategies in the solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)can adjust the spatial distribution of temperature gradient favoring the long-term *** investigate the effects of different operating conditions on the thermal behavior inside SOFC,a three-dimensional model is developed in this *** model is verified by comparing it with the experimental *** heat generation rate and its variation under different operating conditions are *** combined effects of operating voltage and gas temperature are considered to be the key factor influencing the temperature *** to the original case,the temperature of SOFC decreases by 21.4 K when the fuel velocity reaches 5 m/*** the maximum temperature gradient increases by21.2%.Meanwhile,higher fuel velocities can eliminate about 32%of the area with higher temperature *** when the oxidant velocity reaches 7.5 m/s,the peak temperature gradient effectively decreases by 16.59%.Simultaneous adjustment of the oxidant and fuel velocities can effectively reduce the peak temperature gradient and increase the safety *** effects of operation conditions on the temperature gradient of the cell are clarified in this study,which can be a reference for further research on the reliability of SOFCs.

Establishment of compound database of emerging antioxidants and high-resolution mass spectrometry screening in lake sediment from Taihu Lake Basin, China

Antioxidants are ubiquitous in various environmental samples, leading to increasing concern regarding their potential risk to environments or humans. However, there is dearth of information regarding the environmental fate of antioxidants and unknown/unexpected antioxidants in the environment. Here, we established a compound database (CDB) containing 320 current-used antioxidants by collecting the chemicals from EPA’s functional use database and published documents. Physical–chemical characteristics of these antioxidants were estimated, and 19 ones were considered as persistent and bioaccumulative (P&B) substances. This CDB was further coupled with high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) technique, which was employed for suspect screening of antioxidants in extracts of sediments (n = 88) collected from Taihu Lake basin. We screened 119 HRMS features that can match 135 chemical formulas in the CDB, and 20 out of them exhibited the detection frequencies ≥ 90%. The total concentrations of suspect antioxidants in sediments ranged from 6.41 to 830 ng/g dw. Statistical analysis demonstrated that concentrations of suspect antioxidants in Taihu Lake were statistically significantly lower than those in Shihu and Jiulihu Lake, but greater than those from other small lakes. Collectively, this study provided a CDB that could be helpful for further monitoring studies of antioxidant in the environments, and also provided the first evidence regarding the ubiquity of antioxidants in aquatic environment of Taihu Lake basin. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In this study,a novel Bi_(2)S_(3)/BiOI Z-scheme photocatalyst with 3D porous hierarchical network-like heterostructure(BSBI NHs)and rich oxygen vacancies(OVs)was fabricated by a facile ion exchange method followed by the in-situ growth process.A possible formation mechanism of BSBI NHs was studied,showing the self-assembled process of in-situ interwoven growth of 1D Bi_(2)S_(3) nanorods(NRs)on the surface of 2D BiOI disk-like nanoplates(NPs),which followed the Ostwald ripening and epitaxial *** modification of BiOI NPs by Bi_(2)S_(3) NRs brought about the formation of Z-scheme heterojunction and massive OVs,which improved the visible-light response property and promoted the separation of photoexcited charge carriers of BSBI *** NHs exhibited a significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity compared with Bi_(2)S_(3) and BiOI,and BSBI-1 can remove almost all bacteria and Rhodamine B(RhB)after 60 min visible light *** addition,the photocatalytic mechanism was studied and speculated based on the tests of active species capture,electron spin resonance(ESR),and density functional theory(DFT)simulation calculation,proving the primary roles of·OH,·O_(2)^(-)and h^(+)during the photocatalytic *** work provides new insights into the design and exploitation of novel heterojunctions with highly efficient photocatalytic performances for environmental remediation applications.

Underwater reverberation environments that satisfy the conditions of uniformity and isotropy of the diffuse field can be used to measure the acoustic characteristics of underwater *** study combines two practical indicators—the standard deviation of the absolute sound pressure field(to indicate uniformity)and the analysis of the wavenumber spectrum in the spherical harmonics domain(to indicate isotropy)—for an accurate evaluation of the diffusion of the sound field in a reverberation tank.A method is proposed that can improve the narrow-band diffusion of the sound field by employing a randomly fluctuating *** acoustic experiment was performed in a reverberation water tank(1.2 m×1 m×0.8 m),where a randomly fluctuating surface was generated by making *** experimental results show that as the wave motion contributes effectively to the random reflection of sound rays in all directions,the uniformity and isotropy are improved significantly when the surface is fluctuating *** work helps to ensure accurate measurements of the characteristics of underwater targets in reverberation tanks.

Asynchronous motors play a key role in industrial equipment. To cope with the challenge of incomplete fault information due to a single signal, and the problem of missing target domain labels. this paper proposes a method that combines multi-source information fusion with an improved domain adaptation approach. First, an autoencoder is used to extract features from the collected vibration, current and temperature signals. The extracted features are concatenated and fused at the channel level. Then, a deep feature extraction network is designed by combining efficient channel attention and deep residual network, which can accurately and efficiently extract deep features from multi-source information. Finally, an improved domain adaptation mechanism is proposed, which significantly enhances the learning of discriminative features between two different domains. In addition, by incorporating the I-Softmax loss, the constructed Deep Discriminative Residual Adaptive Network exhibits stronger classification capabilities. The superiority and feasibility of the proposed method is verified by comparing several methods under the sample of asynchronous motor without labeling the target domain. © 2024 IEEE.
