Since OpenAI opened access to ChatGPT,large language models(LLMs)become an increasingly popular topic attracting researchers’attention from abundant ***,public researchers meet some problems when developing LLMs given that most of the LLMs are produced by industries and the training details are typically *** datasets are an important setup of LLMs,this paper does a holistic survey on the training datasets used in both the pre-train and fine-tune *** paper first summarizes 16 pre-train datasets and 16 fine-tune datasets used in the state-of-the-art ***,based on the properties of the pre-train and fine-tune processes,it comments on pre-train datasets from quality,quantity,and relation with models,and comments on fine-tune datasets from quality,quantity,and *** study then critically figures out the problems and research trends that exist in current LLM *** study helps public researchers train and investigate LLMs by visual cases and provides useful comments to the research community regarding data *** the best of our knowledge,this paper is the first to summarize and discuss datasets used in both autoregressive and chat *** survey offers insights and suggestions to researchers and LLM developers as they build their models,and contributes to the LLM study by pointing out the existing problems of LLM studies from the perspective of data.

Aiming at optimizing the energy consumption of HVAC,an energy conservation optimization method was proposed for HVAC systems based on the sensitivity analysis(SA),named the sensitivity analysis combination method(SAC).Based on the SA,neural network and the related settings about energy conservation of HVAC systems,such as cooling water temperature,chilled water temperature and supply air temperature,were ***,based on the data of the existing HVAC system,various optimal control methods ofHVAC systems were tested and evaluated by a simulated HVAC system in *** results show that the proposed SA combination method can reduce significant computational load while maintaining an equivalent energy performance compared with traditional optimal control methods.

Solar insecticidal lamps(SIL) can effectively control pests and reduce the use of pesticides. Combining SIL and Internet of Things(IoT) has formed a new type of agricultural IoT,known as SIL-IoT, which can improve the effectiveness of migratory phototropic pest control. However, since the SIL is connected to the Internet, it is vulnerable to various security *** issues can lead to serious consequences, such as tampering with the parameters of SIL, illegally starting and stopping SIL,etc. In this paper, we describe the overall security requirements of SIL-IoT and present an extensive survey of security and privacy solutions for SIL-IoT. We investigate the background and logical architecture of SIL-IoT, discuss SIL-IoT security scenarios, and analyze potential attacks. Starting from the security requirements of SIL-IoT we divide them into six categories, namely privacy, authentication, confidentiality, access control, availability,and integrity. Next, we describe the SIL-IoT privacy and security solutions, as well as the blockchain-based solutions. Based on the current survey, we finally discuss the challenges and future research directions of SIL-IoT.

Segmenting vegetation from UAV images via spectral reconstruction in complex field environments

Recombinant keratins possess strong hemostatic and wound healing properties but suffer from poor water solubility that restricts their bioactivities in biomedical ***,we report the rational design and synthesis of water-soluble keratins using a simple methodology named the QTY *** vitro biophysical analyses and molecular dynamic simulation demonstrated a 200-fold increase in the water solubility of QTY variant keratins without apparent structural changes compared to native *** self-assembly was observed for the first time in recombinant keratins in an aqueous environment,without urea and after QTY *** and animal experiments showed the in situ gel-forming capability of QTY variant keratins with superior hemostatic and wound healing activities at the wound sites compared to native recombinant *** work not only presented a simple and feasible pathway to produce large amounts of water-soluble keratins using QTY modification but also validated the enhanced self-assembly,hemostasis,and wound healing properties of these novel keratin species that may open up new venues for biomedical applications.

Benefit of aerosol reduction to winter wheat during China's clean air action:A case study of Henan Province

Vector light, whose polarization state exhibits spatial inhomogeneity across the transverse plane, has garnered increasing attention due to its wide range of applications. However, the generation of intense vector beams has been limited by the thermal damage threshold of conventional optical devices. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that utilizes a magnetized plasma polarizer to generate high-intensity vector beams. By employing a Q-plate-like magnetized plasma, incident circularly polarized Gaussian beam is spatially decomposed into transmitted radially and reflected azimuthally polarized vector beams with vortex wavefront. This work introduces a new plasma-based method for manipulating high intensity laser pulses and paves the way towards the potential applications of intense vector light in strong-field physics. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Face recognition is a prominent research area within computer vision, offering significant value across various fields of life, including certificate verification, security systems, and human-computer interactions. Nonetheless, enhancing the reliability and precision of face recognition systems is persistently challenging due to variables like facial expressions, various scenes, and occlusion. This paper introduces an enhanced SRCS (Sum of Representation Coefficients as Score) algorithm, which builds upon the two-stage sparse representation approach. The underlying principle is that a higher representation value of each class of training images vis-à-vis test images suggests a stronger correlation between the test image and the respective class. Consequently, the algorithm computes the sum of representation coefficients for the training images to ascertain the distances between the classes and the test images. Following this, it identifies classes with high scores as prospective representatives of the test samples. Moreover, the setting of reasonable weights in the weighted fusion of addition weighting, based on the TSFR (The Two-Step Face Recognition) method, presents challenges, and varying training samples require different optimal weights. Therefore, this paper proposes an exponential weighting method score that obviates the need for setting any weights while effectively enhancing recognition accuracy. This proposed method undergoes rigorous validation through comprehensive experiments conducted on renowned databases such as FERET, PRL, YALE, and GT, with the results consistently affirming the effectiveness of the method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
