In this article, a core fuel management program for hexagonal pressurized water type WWER reactors (CFMHEX) has been developed, which is based on advanced three-dimensional nodal method and integrated with thermal hydraulic code to realize the coupling of neutronics and thermal-hydraulics. In CFMHEX, all these feedback effects such as burnup, power distribution, moderator density, and control rod insertion are considered. The verifica- tion and validation of the code system have been examined through the IAEA WWER-1000-type Kalinin NPP benchmark problem. The numerical results are in good agreement with measurements and are close to those of other international institutes.

An intranodal flux expansion nodal method (FENM) for solving static and transient neutron diffusion equations in hexagonal-z geometry has been developed, in which the flux distributions are expanded into a set of analytic basis functions and orthogonal second-order polynomials. In order to improve the nodal coupling relations, a new type of nodal boundary conditions is proposed, which requires the continuity of both the zero- and first-order moments of partial currents across the nodal surfaces. The numerical results for a series of benchmark problems demonstrate that FENM exhibits good accuracy and convergence.

China Integral reactor Plant (CIP) is a light water cooled, 300 MW power reactor under development by Chinese National keylaboratory of reactorsystemdesigntechnology. CIP features an integral reactor vessel that contains the CRDM and major reactor coolant system components including reactor core, coolant pumps, once-through steam generators and pressurizer. This integral design approach eliminates the large coolant piping and large loss of coolant accident (LOCA), and thus provides with higher level of securities. This paper introduces the selection of CIP containment system, the design of containment, the determination of design pressure for containment and the calculation analysis of containment structure.

An adaptive predistortion linearization is proposed to compensate for the nonlinear distortions induced by high power amplifiers (HPAs) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. By expressing the uncertain nonlinear input-output dynamics of HPA by a new simplified Volterra series model (VSM), a predistorter (i.e., compensator) is constructed based on identification of inverse system of the HPA. Once predistorter's parameters are obtained by RLS algorithm, when OFDM signals pass through the cascade system of the predistorter and the HPA, overall linearization from predistorter input to HPA output can be achieved even if HPA is uncertain. The effectiveness of the proposed predistortion method is validated by numerical simulation for 64-ary quadrature amplitude modulation OFDM (64QAM-OFDM) transmission systems

In the paper IM torque control is studied as an example of non-holonomic system with drift terms. Following the famous Brockett integrator problem several control propositions are introduced. The paper extends the control scheme from the state to the output control in several steps. By introducing adjusted amplitude, frequency and phase modulation of the IM stator current vector, the rotor flux linkage vector is implicitly forced to generate required periodic orbits that satisfy nonholonomic constraint. Improvements in the transient feedback performance, maximal steady-state efficiency, avoidance of singularities and sufficient robustness are actually achieved by making the current modulation dependent from the torque error signal. In the contrast with the original work instead of global only local stability could be assured. Simulation and experimental results illustrate main characteristics of the proposed control

The roundness error and rotation motion error of the least square center of measured section are separated by applying the roundness error separation principle based on the three-point method. Furthermore, the relationship between the pure rotation motion error and the initial position(linear eccentricity) of the least square center of measured section is described. The mathematical expression for separating the pure rotation motion error is put forward, in which the orthogonality of the trigonometric function and the above-obtained relationship is used. The experimental result indicates that the precision measurement of the radial rotation motion error of the gyro-axle can be achieved by three-point method.

Toluene and toluene containing surfactant was separately used as dispersed phase for preparation of emulsions. Two kinds of emulsions were prepared and compared. The volume average sizes of prepared emulsions were 3.53 μm and 3.6μm respectively. The results showed that the droplet sizes of two kinds of emulsions were similar but the monodispersed emulsion was only obtained with addition of surfactant into the dispersed phase.

A new reactor with integrated conventional slurry stirred reactor and ceramic external membrane emulsification system, was introduced in this paper. Toluene and toluene containing surfactant was separately used as dispersed phase for preparation of emulsions. Two kinds of emulsions were prepared and compared.
