With the development of the nuclear energy industry, small modular reactors (SMRs) have become an important option in China's energy development due to their advantages in terms of safety and economics. The helical-coil steam generator is an important part of SMR, and the structure parameters need to be optimized urgently to reduce costs and improve safety. In this paper, various thermohydraulic parameters were used as indicators for the design quality of the helical-coil steam generator, such as the volume of the equipment, velocity of the flow, maximum temperature of the tubes, and natural circulation capability. The optimization of these target parameters has important theoretical and practical values. The genetic algorithm method is widely used to processes data efficiently, and it is able to reach a optimum design rapidly, which makes it a good choice for the optimization of parameters. The results show that this method could efficiently reduce the volume of the helical coil steam generator. © 2020 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). All rights reserved.

Object pose refinement is essential for robust object pose estimation. Previous work has made significant progress to-wards instance-level object pose refinement. Yet, category-level pose refinement is a more challenging problem due to large shape variations within a category and the discrep-ancies between the target object and the shape prior. To address these challenges, we introduce a novel architecture for category-level object pose refinement. Our approach in-tegrates an HS-Iayer and learnable affine transformations, which aims to enhance the extraction and alignment of Geometric information. Additionally, we introduce a cross-cloud transformation mechanism that efficiently merges di-verse data sources. Finally, we push the limits of our model by incorporating the shape prior information for translation and size error prediction. We conducted extensive ex-periments to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. Through extensive quantitative experiments, we demonstrate significant improvement over the baseline method by a large margin across all metrics. 1 1 Project page: https://***/***

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) has been considered a key feature of next-generation wireless networks. This paper investigates the joint design of the radar receive filter and dual-functional transmit waveform for the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) ISAC system. While optimizing the mean square error (MSE) of the radar receive spatial response and maximizing the achievable rate at the communication receiver, besides the constraints of full-power radar receiving filter and unimodular transmit sequence, we control the maximum range sidelobe level, which is often overlooked in existing ISAC waveform design literature, for better radar imaging performance. To solve the formulated optimization problem with convex and nonconvex constraints, we propose an inexact augmented Lagrangian method (ALM) algorithm. For each subproblem in the proposed inexact ALM algorithm, we custom-design a block successive upper-bound minimization (BSUM) scheme with closed-form solutions for all blocks of variable to enhance the computational efficiency. Convergence analysis shows that the proposed algorithm is guaranteed to provide a stationary and feasible solution. Extensive simulations are performed to investigate the impact of different system parameters on communication and radar imaging performance. With the extension of the service time of the structure and the worse service temperature conditions, the drift problem of high-temperature strain gauges gradually becomes prominent. This research aims to address the issue of the drift of measurement results because of the performance degradation of high-temperature strain gauges, and investigate the drift law under different temperatures considering complex service environments. In this paper, a combination of experimental research and theoretical analysis is utilized to design and conduct the accelerated performance degradation test on high-temperature strain gauges. Based on the result of the test, an accelerated performance degradation model is developed using the Wiener process and Arrhenius model. Finally, estimation curves for the average value and percentile value of the performance parameters of the high-temperature strain gauges are obtained, which demonstrates that the established accelerated performance degradation model can reasonably describe the degradation law. Additionally, the established accelerated performance degradation model enables effective analysis and compensation of gauge drift at any temperature. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

In recent years, with the continuous development of China's hydropower projects, Pelton turbines are gradually being valued, and the focus of development has shifted from plain areas to plateau areas. Environmental impacts such as high altitude, water temperature, and high sediment content in the plateau area have caused serious interference to equipment that originally worked in a stable environment, for example, the failure of the cooperation between the parts of the turbine and the mutual seizure, the increased wear of the nozzle needle, the decrease of the flow rate and the water outlet speed of the nozzle, and the decrease of the air pressure in the plateau environment lead to the change of the flow state of the nozzle. In view of the above problems, this paper puts forward the design scheme of impulse turbine test-bed, using the method of changing specific speed to determine the basic parameters of impulse turbine unit, so as to eliminate the influence of plateau environment on the normal operation of turbine, obtain the efficiency condition of model experiment under low ambient pressure, and improve the operation efficiency and reliability of turbine unit. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. An integration of satellites and terrestrial networks is crucial for enhancing performance of next generation communication systems. However, the networks are hindered by the long-distance path loss and security risks in dense urban environments. In this work, we propose a satellite-terrestrial covert communication system assisted by the aerial active simultaneous transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (AASTAR-RIS) to improve the channel capacity while ensuring the transmission covertness. Specifically, we first derive the minimal detection error probability (DEP) under the worst condition that the Warden has perfect channel state information (CSI). Then, we formulate an AASTAR-RIS-assisted satellite-terrestrial covert communication optimization problem (ASCCOP) to maximize the sum of the fair channel capacity for all ground users while meeting the strict covert constraint, by jointly optimizing the trajectory and active beamforming of the AASTAR-RIS. Due to the challenges posed by the complex and high-dimensional state-action spaces as well as the need for efficient exploration in dynamic environments, we propose a generative deterministic policy gradient (GDPG) algorithm, which is a generative deep reinforcement learning (DRL) method to solve the ASCCOP. Concretely, the generative diffusion model (GDM) is utilized as the policy representation of the algorithm to enhance the exploration process by generating diverse and high-quality samples through a series of denoising steps. Moreover, we incorporate an action gradient mechanism to accomplish the policy improvement of the algorithm, which refines the better state-action pairs through the gradient ascent. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly outperforms important benchmarks, and also validate the performance and practicality under different algorithm parameters and environment settings. Corrosion Behavior of Micro-Arc Oxidation Coating on Zirconium Alloy in Superheated Steam Condition

The corrosion behavior of MAO coating on Zr alloy was investigated in 400 ºC/10.3 MPa condition. The surface morphology, phase composition, and element distribution of MAO coating were analyzed. The results indicate that the oxide layer on MAO coating presents fewer cracks and pores than Zr alloy, because the high compressive stress can stabilize the t-ZrO2 and restrain the phase transformation, thus reducing the volume expansion and future decreasing defect. Based on the XRD, Raman mapping, SEM, XPS, and TEM results, the formation mechanism of t-ZrO2 and phase transformation process of MAO coating in superheated steam condition was summarized. © 2022, The Authors. Recently, a technology called floating nuclear power plant (FNPP) has been developed around the world to maximize the use of ocean and nuclear energy. The FNPP is required to investigate the impact of a ship collision during its service period. A rapid and accurate approach for assessing the ship collision hazard is proposed in this work. To begin with, the annual collision frequencies of four different ship types are calculated using the improved collision frequency formula, with standby and supply vessel frequencies of [[EQUATION]] and [[EQUATION]] , respectively, and passing and fishing vessel frequencies of less than [[EQUATION]] . Subsequently, a combination of finite element numerical simulation, back propagation (BP) neural network, and Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) is used to derive the probability density distribution of collision damage measures. Finally, by integrating the annual collision frequency and probability distribution, this paper analyzes the hazard of ship collision with FNPP and derives the hazard curve. © 2022, The Authors. Because of the environmental friendliness of electric vehicles, research on electric vehicles has become a hot spot in recent years. How to charge electric vehicles faster is critical to the widespread use of electric vehicles. Electric vehicle integrated power unit can use bidirectional DC-DC converter for driving to achieve integrated charging. In order to improve the power density and efficiency of the integrated system, the bidirectional DC-DC for electric vehicle driving uses three-phase interleaved parallel technology. This paper proposes a method to select different interleaved phase numbers according to different output powers of the converter to improve the working efficiency of three-phase interleaved parallel DC-DC converters. This method improves the efficiency of the three-phase interleaved parallel converter under light load and widens the high-efficiency working area of the converter. Finally, simulations and experimental results are conducted to validate the efficiency of the design.

Modular multilevel converter (MMC) has many advantages, such as low loss, flexible control and so on, which has been widely used in photovoltaic grid connected system. However, the photovoltaic output has some instability, and the damping of the flexible DC system is also low, which puts forward a severe test for the stable operation of the power grid. Firstly, this paper describes the basic structure of the photovoltaic system connected by MMC. Secondly, the photovoltaic grid connected system model based on PSCAD illustrates the fault current characteristics under DC side fault, and simulates and analyzes the influence of different factors in the system on the fault current.
