FLP（Facility layout problem） is a common problem in engineering field. The past research tend to focus on the twodimensional space and a small amount of three-dimensional box space as well as vertical cylinder space. The FLP in horizontal cylinder space is less researched. Lots of FLP of box space and vertical cylinder space can transform to FLP of two-dimensional space easily, however, the FLP of horizontal cylinder space need design special calculation method of overlap constraint and boundary constraint. This paper designed the calculation method of overlap constraint and boundary constraint, used adaptive gradient descent algorithm with heuristic strategy to optimize the facility layout in horizontal cylinder space. On this basis,added symmetry constraint, absolute height constraint and relative distance constraint to close to the real engineering *** experiment results confirm the feasible of proposed scheme.

The automatic installation of panels has become crucial in numerous industries scenarios. This paper proposed a trajectory planning method to addresses the position and posture adjustment of panel installation using redundant articulating cranes. Configuration space of the crane and rotation matrix are combined to investigate the strong coupling of the panel's position and posture. Moreover, the study combines the motion modes of the crane with the sequential analysis of redundant motion to assess energy consumption, incorporating energy efficiency as one of the planning objectives. Simultaneously, an intrinsic connection between the motion sequences within the C-space and safety considerations is analyzed. The installation experiment is performed with a real crane. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method achieves the function of installation of panels, which can make both the panel’s position and posture safely reach the predetermined state with less energy consume. © 2024, The Authors. In real life, many valuable products and highvalue important products are transported in long distances. Shocks and vibrations are caused during transportation, loading and unloading for various reasons. Any shock and vibration exceeding the regulations may cause damage to the transported products. So, it is necessary to monitor and analyze these data of shocks and vibrations scientifically, while considering that some transportation conditions have special requirements for installation space and transportation time. Therefore, an ultra-thin and long-lasting monitoring system has been developed based on MEMS accelerometer technology to measure shocks and vibrations. After series of independent tests and calibration tests conducted by a third party on the product, the results show that it can record and store the threeaxis acceleration, temperature, humidity, pressure, time and other parameters of the transportation process in real time, and complete the preliminary assessment of the transportation status of high-value products. Then engineers can conduct professional analysis of the data to obtain scientific transportation monitoring reports, and provide scientific basis for taking safety prevention and treatment measures for subsequent transportation.

In the nuclear field, the reactor using plate fuel assembly forms multiple jets at exit. So, it's meaningful to study multiple jets to learn the behavior of the coolant when it leaves the core. This paper uses PIV technology to study the flow characteristics of 9 jets at low Reynolds number. Firstly, the velocity field reveals that the pressure outside the jet is greater than the inside of the jet, which causes the jet to deflect and converge inward at z/w=0-8. Then, the velocity field with different Re number is analyzed in the center plane, and find that the flow distribution is similar. Then, a detailed analysis is performed on the jet under specific conditions, and the merge point is discussed in the paper. At the same time, the first-order velocity tensor are also calculated in this paper. In addition, this article also analyzes the jet flow field after the central narrow channel was blocked. In this experiment, a plug was used to block the No. 5 jet by 1/3. And the flow redistribution is discussed in this case. The methods of flow calculation using PIV technology is established and compared with the real number of flowmeters, it's found that the calculation method is rather accurate. On the other hand, the experiment find that the distribution of flow in each channel is not uniform, and the blocking condition make an increase in the flow of edge channels, which leads to the decreasing of flow in the blocked adjacent channel. © 2020 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The effects of rolling condition on the flow instability characteristics of natural circulation (NC) in rod bundle channel were experimentally studied. A 3×3 rod bundle channel is used as the testing section. The experimental system pressure range is 0.2 to 0.6 MPa, and the range of inlet subcooling is 10 to 70°C. The ranges of rolling motion amplitude and period are 10 ∼ 20° and 10 ∼ 30s, respectively. Two typical two-phase flow instabilities in rod bundle channel under rolling condition were found in experiments: (a) the trough-type oscillation caused by the vapor generation at the minimum point of flow fluctuation and (b) the compound oscillation formed by the superposition of the trough-type oscillation and DWOI. Experimental results show that the rolling motion can reduce the threshold heating power of trough-type oscillation and cause the occurrence of NC flow instability in advance. But the rolling motion cannot affect the dimensionless boundary of DWOI in rod bundle channel. © 2020 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). All rights reserved.

We put forward a data-enabled physics-informed neural network (DEPINN) with comprehensive numerical study for solving industrial scale neutron diffusion eigenvalue problems (NDEPs). In order to achieve an engineering acceptable accuracy for complex engineering problems, a very small amount of prior data from physical experiments are suggested to be used, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of training. We design an adaptive optimization procedure with Adam and LBFGS to accelerate the convergence in the training stage. We discuss the effect of different physical parameters, sampling techniques, loss function allocation and the generalization performance of the proposed DEPINN model for solving complex eigenvalue problems. The feasibility of proposed DEPINN model is verified on three typical benchmark problems, from simple geometry to complex geometry, and from mono-energetic equation to two-group equations. Numerous numerical results show that DEPINN can efficiently solve NDEPs with an appropriate optimization procedure. The proposed DEPINN can be generalized for other input parameter settings once its structure been trained. Flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicles show significant and complex aerodynamic, scramjet propulsion system, flight dynamic and elastic coupling characteristics, which usually are highly nonlinear. These result in huge uncertainties, parameter perturbation and internal disturbance, which can no longer be ignored, and therefore, extreme difficulties for flight control design. A unique parameter adaptive non-singular terminal sliding mode method is proposed for longitudinal control law design of a flexible coupling air-breathing hypersonic vehicle. This method uses adaptive reaching law gain instead of additional adaptive compensation term to handle the uncertainty to improve robustness. The stability of the close loop system is proved via a Lyapunov way. The longitudinal tracking control law for velocity and angle of attack is designed based on a rigid dynamic model of a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle. A strong coupling model of the same vehicle, considering aerodynamic-scramjet engine-flight dynamic-elastic couplings, is established as the verification platform of control law designed. Simulation results obtained based on the coupling model demonstrate that the control law designed has good performance and acceptable robustness. © 2021, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. Space fission power systems can enable ambitious solarsystem and deep-space science missions. The heat pipe cooled reactor is one of the most potential candidates for near-term space power supply, featured with safety, simplicity, reliability, and modularity. Heat pipe cooled reactors are solid-state and high temperature (up to 1500 K) reactors, where the thermal expansion is remarkable and the mechanical response significantly influences the neutronics and thermal analyses. Due to the considerable difference between heat pipe cooled reactors and traditional water reactors in the structure and design concept, the coupling solutions for light water reactors cannot be directly applied to heat pipe cooled reactor analyses. Therefore, new coupling framework and program need to consider the coupling effects among neutronics, heat transfer as well as mechanics. Based on the Monte Carlo program RMC and commercial finite element program ANSYS Mechanical APDL, this work introduces the three coupling fields of neutronics (N), thermal (T), and mechanics (M) for heat pipe cooled reactors. The neutronic and thermal-mechanical (N/T-M) coupling strategy is developed theoretically, focusing on the formulation of the nonlinear problem, iteration schemes, and relaxation methods. Besides, the finite element method and the Monte Carlo program use different meshes and geometry construction methods. The spatial mapping and geometry reconstruction are also essential for the N/T-M coupling, which is discussed and established in detail. Furthermore, the N/T-M coupling methods are applied to the preliminary self-designed 10 kWe space heat pipe cooled reactor. Coupling shows that the thermal-mechanical feedback in the solid-state reactor has negative reactivity feedback (-2007 pcm) while it has a deterioration in heat transfer due to the expansion in the gas gap. © 2020 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Objective In recent years, with increasing demands for imaging optical systems and continuous advancements in manufacturing technologies, dual-band infrared zoom optical systems have been widely applied in various fields such as military reconnaissance, precision guidance, airborne electro-optical pods, aerospace, security, and night vision surveillance. Continuous zoom infrared lenses enable target searching over a wide field of view and rapid switching to a narrow field of view for precise tracking and observation. This capability is particularly advantageous for tracking high-speed moving targets, addressing the issue of losing targets during field-of-view switching in stepped zoom lenses. However, dual-band infrared zoom systems face challenges such as complex structures, difficult aberration correction, suboptimal image quality, and limited material selection. Therefore, developing a high-performance dual-band infrared zoom optical system is crucial for advancing imaging optical systems. Methods First, in the dual-band infrared range of 3.7‒4.8 μm and 8‒10 μm, a double-layer diffractive optical element (DOE) is designed using a method that maximizes polychromatic integrated diffraction efficiency (PIDE) considering angular-wavelength characteristics. The wavelengths corresponding to the maximum PIDE values are selected as the design wavelengths, and the corresponding microstructure height parameters are calculated. The designed double-layer DOE achieves a comprehensive PIDE of 98.29%, demonstrating high diffraction efficiency across the dual-band infrared range. Second, a dual-group linked zoom model is derived. Using this model, the component distances at different focal lengths are calculated. These parameters are then input into optical design software to develop a dual-band infrared zoom optical system with a continuous zoom range of 30‒300 mm.
