The MAAP5 code and CFD method are adopted to estimate the melting behavior of core peripheral components for an Advanced China PWR, called ACP1000 after a large break accident to determine the amount of stainless steel relocating into the corium pool. The results suggest that larger portion of peripheral components melting in CFD method because of considering the radiation of fuel rods on shroud and barrel before core melting and ignoring the cooling of steam on the components in core. Effects of different configurations of corium pool on heat flux imposed on the vessel wall are also investigated in this work. The heat flux in light metal layer for the corium pool that obtained by MAAP5 code could be higher than that of CFD case due to its thinner light metal layer. Copyright © 2018-2019 by JSME

With the proposal of liquid metals as coolant of the reactors, the use of accurate heat transfer correlation and reliable turbulent prandtl number（Prt）model of these low prandtl number fluids in turbulent flow is essential. The heat transfer of Liquid metals differ from traditional coolants for their good molecular heat conductivity and this property leads to a separation of the spatial extension of thermal and viscous boundary layers. A constant turbulent prandtl number is proved to be inappropriate for complex conditions for it depends on the Reynolds and molecular Prandtl number. This paper proposes a new turbulent prandtl number model Prt=C+B/Pet, which can be used for accurately predicting the heat transfer for liquid metal flows. The constants C and B of the expression are obtained from the analytic solution of renormalization group procedure. B is further corrected with the physical properties for different liquid metals. The results are in a good agreement with experimental data over the range of experimentally accessible Prandtl numbers. The Nusselt numbers calculated using the proposed model with the Lyon integral are found to be well consistent with the experimental data for forced fully-developed pipe flows with constant heat flow boundary conditions. Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) analysis is also carried out for pipe geometries. With the proposed model for turbulent prandtl number, CFD codes using RANS approach give similar results for local Nusselt numbers measured in the experiments. Copyright © 2018-2019 by JSME

The reduction in transistor dimensions and advancements in chip integration have led to a dramatic increase in the heat flux of chip. Advanced heat dissipation technology has become the pivotal in ensuring the normal operation of chips and fully utilizing chip performance. Room temperature liquid metal convection cooling technology has demonstrated its efficacy as a viable approach for addressing high heat flux heat dissipation. However, the smaller specific heat capacity of liquid metal leads to a large temperature rise, imposing a constraint on the progression of liquid metal cooling technology. To overcome this drawback, this paper proposed a liquid metal manifold channel structure designed to convert the continuous long-range flow into a segmented short-range flow. The good matching between liquid metal and manifold structures is adequately demonstrated through a comparison with alternative coolant and channel structure. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of liquid metal manifold channel cooling in dealing with a heat flux of 1000 W/cm², ensuring that the maximum temperature of the chip remains below 351.7 K. Moreover, the convective heat transfer coefficient even reaches 106 W/(m2·K), which is ten times larger than that of water conventional microchannel heat sink. The orthogonal experiments were conducted to analyze how the structural parameters affect the dissipation performance, including the height of the microchannel, ratio of manifold length to fin length, length of fin in manifold, width of channel, and ratio of fin with to channel width. It concluded that the height of the microchannel has been identified as the most critical factor. This manifold structure mitigates the inherent limitation of the lower specific heat capacity of liquid metal, paving the way for effective thermal management of electronic devices subjected to ultra-high heat flux. © 2024, The Authors. Distilling Autoregressive Models to Obtain High-Performance Non-Autoregressive Solvers for Vehicle Routing Problems with Faster Inference Speed

Neural construction models have shown promising performance for Vehicle Routing Problems (VRPs) by adopting either the Autoregressive (AR) or Non-Autoregressive (NAR) learning approach. While AR models produce high-quality solutions, they generally have a high inference latency due to their sequential generation nature. Conversely, NAR models generate solutions in parallel with a low inference latency but generally exhibit inferior performance. In this paper, we propose a generic Guided Non-Autoregressive Knowledge Distillation (GNARKD) method to obtain high-performance NAR models having a low inference latency. GNARKD removes the constraint of sequential generation in AR models while preserving the learned pivotal components in the network architecture to obtain the corresponding NAR models through knowledge distillation. We evaluate GNARKD by applying it to three widely adopted AR models to obtain NAR VRP solvers for both synthesized and real-world instances. The experimental results demonstrate that GNARKD significantly reduces the inference time (4∼5× faster) with acceptable performance drop (2∼3%). To the best of our knowledge, this study is first-of-its-kind to obtain NAR VRP solvers from AR ones through knowledge distillation. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper addresses the distributed localization problem for a network of sensors placed in a three-dimensional space, in which sensors are able to perform range measurements, i.e., measure the relative distance between them, and exchange information on a network structure. First, we derive a necessary and sufficient condition for node localizability using barycentric coordinates. Then, building on this theoretical result, we design a distributed localizability verification algorithm, in which we propose and employ a novel distributed finite-time algorithm for sum consensus. Finally, we develop a distributed localization algorithm based on conjugate gradient method, and we derive a theoretical guarantee on its performance, which ensures finite-time convergence to the exact position for all localizable nodes. The efficiency of our algorithm compared to the existing ones from the state-of-the-art literature is further demonstrated through numerical simulations. © 2023, CC BY.

Generative API usage code recommendation with parameter concretization

Many programming languages and development frameworks have extensive libraries(e.g., JDK and Android libraries) that ease the task of software engineering if used effectively. With numerous library classes and sometimes intricate API(application programming interface) usage constraints, programmers often have difficulty remembering the library APIs and/or using them correctly. This study addresses this problem by developing an engine called DeepAPIRec, which automatically recommends the API usage *** to the existing proposals, our approach distinguishes itself in two ways. First, it is based on a tree-based long short-term memory(LSTM) neural network inspired by recent developments in the machinelearning community. A tree-based LSTM neural network allows us to model and reason about variable-length,preceding and succeeding code contexts, and to make precise predictions. Second, we apply data-flow analysis to generate concrete parameters for the API usage code, which not only allows us to generate complete code recommendations but also improves the accuracy of the learning results according to the tree-based LSTM neural network. Our approach has been implemented for supporting Java programs. Our experimental studies on the JDK library show that at statement-level recommendations, DeepAPIRec can achieve a top-1 accuracy of about 37% and a top-5 accuracy of about 64%, which are significantly better than the existing approaches. Our user study further confirms that DeepAPIRec can help developers to complete a segment of code faster and more accurately as compared to IntelliJ IDEA.

Safety Video Display Unit (SVDU) provides the interface between operator and reactor protection system (RPS).SVDU not only displays the signals and parameters which related to safety function but also support the operator to send control commands to *** a safety classified equipment and part of human machine interface (HMI), engineering design of SVDU should be addressed in plant safety with regarding to the HMI related standards. NUREG0700 is the guideline of human-system interface design, using which as a tool, a lot of improvement has been made to optimize the design of NASPIC SVDU: Display view arrangement, PAMS parameter curves, alarming etc. were improved and optimized. Then conformity analysis of NASPIC SVDU regarding NUREG0700 has been made, and equipment qualification was conducted. Finally NASPIC SVDU was prone to be in conformity with NUREG0700 and was able to achieve effective human-computer interaction. Copyright © 2018-2019 by JSME

The main trend in the development of the local power plant control system is to adopt digital safety DCS system with rather strong ability of self-diagnosis. Apart from the self-diagnosis, it is also necessary to carry out periodic test in certain frequency to check the potential fault within a system and to certify the completeness and effectiveness of reactor protection function. Regarding nowadays in-service or in-building power plant, there are some deficiency in the automation and simplication of the periodic test method, which still can be improved. Based on the research on the overall optimization of nuclear power plant safety DCS periodic test, an integrated and comprehensive periodic test method was put forward. This method, not only achieved a high degree of automation, supporting T2 online test, which increasing the system reliability, in order to save the cost of human and material during window phase in the overhaul life.
