Facile fabrication of densely packed ammoniated alumina/MXene/bacterial cellulose composite films for enhancing thermal conductivity and photothermal conversion performance

The full arrival of 5 G and advances in electronic integration make efficient heat dissipation crucial for stable operation and longer product *** this study,a vacuum-assisted filtration process was employed to fabricate ammoniated alumina/MXene/bacterial cellulose(Al2O3-NH2/MXene/BC)composite films that display a unique integration of properties,encompassing ultra-high thermal conductivity(λ),mechanical flexibility,and high photothermal conversion *** leveraging the bridging effect among spherical Al2O3-NH2 and MXene nanosheets,a densely packed"point-surface"structure was con-structed in BC by using a one-step preparation *** the mass fraction of Al2O3-NH2/MXene(1∶3,w/w)is 40 wt％,the O-BAl1M3 exhibited an in-plane λ of 20.02 W m-1 K-1,which was 436％and 94％higher than that of pure BC and T-BAl1M3(prepared by a two-step method),***-more,constructing an intact thermal conductive network within BC notably promoted photothermal and photoelectric conversion *** maximum surface temperature and voltage of the O-BAl1M3 film reached 106.9 ℃ and 48.34 mV when a sample with an area of 1.56 cm2 was exposed under a light intensity of 200 mW *** applying O-BAl1M3 film,the temperature inside a self-built greenhouse model reached up to 64.8 ℃ within 1200 s under a light intensity of 100 mW cm-2,which validated the practical application of the composite films and offered a novel approach for creating flexible films with superior photothermal conversion *** work provided insights into preparing functional composite films for efficient thermal management and photothermal conversion applications.

Synthesis,crystallographic characterization,and potential application of fullerene anisole derivatives as nitrocellulose stabilizer

A series of fullerene anisole derivative stabilizers was synthesized by nucleophilic substitution reaction using hexachlorofullerene and benzyl alcohol as raw materials to extend the service duration of nitrocellulose(NC)-based ***-crystal X-ray diffraction,nuclear magnetic resonance,highresolution mass spectrometry,Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy,and UV-Vis spectroscopy were used to characterize the structures of the synthesized fullerene anisole derivative *** violet,differential scanning calorimetry test,isothermal weight loss,vacuum stability test,and adiabatic accelerated test were used to study their compatibility with NC and their ability to stabilize *** results show that the designed and synthesized novel fullerene anisole derivative stabilizer has good compatibility with NC,and their overall stabilizing effects on NC are better than those of the traditional stabilizers,diphenylamine(DPA),and N,N’-dimethyl-N,N’-diphenylurea(C2).The stabilizing effects was ranked as:3b>2d>2a>2c>C2>2b>DPA>*** addition,FT-IR analysis and electron spin resonance spectroscopy were applied to explore the stability mechanism of fullerene-based stabilizers to *** results reveal that the new fullerene stabilizer can adsorb and effectively eliminate the nitrogen oxide free radicals generated by NC degradation;therefore,it can forbid the autocatalytic degradation of NC and stabilize NC.

Cooperative effect of Cr and Al elements on passivation enhancement of eutectic high-entropy alloy AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)with precipitates

In conventional corrosion-resistant alloys,precipitation usually reduces corrosion resistance severely by weakening passive films *** this work,we found that the aging-treated AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)sam-ples,which have abundant nanosized L 12 and body-centered cubic(BCC)precipitates in the lamellar face-centered cubic(FCC)and B2 phases,displayed better corrosion resistance than solution-treated AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)samples without *** the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)alloy,the FCC phase with L1_(2)precipi-tates and the B2 phase with BCC precipitates were protected by passive films enriched with Cr and Al elements,***,the Al-rich passive film of the B2 phase was less stable than the Cr-rich passive film of the FCC phase,so B2 phase dissolved *** Cr-rich passive film of the FCC phase remained stable with the formation of Al-rich L1_(2)precipitates inside the phase because those precipitates with the size of∼5 nm were too small to affect the composition of the Cr-rich passive *** formation of Cr-rich BCC precipitates within the B2 phase increased the content of the Al element inside the phase,improving the stability of Al-rich passive film on the B2 ***,BCC precip-itates with the size of∼30 nm were protected by Cr-rich passive film,which could inhibit the expansion of corrosion ***,the corrosion resistance of eutectic high-entropy alloy AlCoCrFeN 2.1 was unprece-dentedly enhanced by the precipitation of BCC *** study could provide an attractive strategy for designing high-entropy alloys with excellent corrosion resistance and high strength.

Developing highly efficient S-scheme photocatalysts is a subject of immense interest for harnessing solar energy towards sustainable hydrogen ***,a novel S-scheme heterojunction of oxygen vacancy-rich CoMoO_(4)/CN(CMO/CN)photocatalyst was rationally constructed through loading CoMoO_(4)nanorods on carbon nitride(CN)nanosheets via a direct one-pot calcination *** CMO/CN S-scheme heterojunction exhibited enhanced surface area,fine CN dispersion,rich oxygen vacancies,and accelerated charge separation/transfer efficiency,which were conducive to improving photocatalytic H_(2)evolution *** note,the optimal 3%CMO/CN sample displayed the highest H_(2)production rate of 8.35 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is 4.6 folds that of pristine *** situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)characterizations confirmed the S-scheme charge transfer path between CN and CMO,which greatly promoted spatial charge *** functional theory(DFT)calculations together with contact angle tests revealed the reduced activation energies for H_(2)O dissociation and enhanced hydrophilicity of the CMO/*** CMO/CN photocatalysts also presented high stability and fine *** work may provide insights into the combination of defect engineering and heterojunction designing for high-efficiency solar-to-chemical energy conversion.

Enhanced electrochemical oxidation of perfluorooctanoic acid on Ti/SnO_(2)-Sb electrode by surface morphology regulation

Electrochemical oxidation is an effective method to degrade persistent organic ***,due to the limited catalytic activity of traditional thin film electrodes,the anodic oxidation process is slow and usually requires high energy ***,Ti/SnO_(2)-Sb electrode with regulated surface structure was reported to enhance the performance for electrochemical oxidation of persistent organic *** electrode deposited with SnO_(2)-Sb nanoneedles(Ti/N-SnO_(2)-Sb)showed higher oxidation *** kinetic constant for perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)oxidation was 2.0 h^(-1)and the total organic carbon removal rate was 81.7%(4 h)at a relatively low current density of 6 mA/cm^*** with Ti/SnO_(2)-Sb thin film and nanoparticles,Ti/N-SnO_(2)-Sb significantly improved the electrochemical active area and·OH yield,and simultaneously reduced the electron transfer resistance,which enabled it to oxidize PFOA more rapidly even at a lower *** work provides a new strategy for promoting the electrochemical oxidation performance.

Two-dimensional dumbbell silicene as a promising anode material for(Li/Na/K)-ion batteries

Rechargeable ion batteries require anode materials with excellent performance,presenting a key challenge for *** paper explores the potential of using two-dimensional dumbbell silicene as an anode material for alkali metal ion batteries through density functional theory(DFT)*** findings demonstrate that alkali metal ions have negative adsorption energies on dumbbell silicene,and the energy barriers for Li/Na/K ion diffusion are as low as0.032 e V/0.055 e V/0.21 e V,indicating that metal ions can easily diffuse across the entire surface of dumbbell ***,the average open circuit voltages of dumbbell silicene as anode for Li-ion,Na-ion,and K-ion batteries are 0.42 V,0.41 V,and 0.60 V,respectively,with corresponding storage capacities of 716 m Ah/g,622 m Ah/g,and 716 m Ah/*** results suggest that dumbbell silicene is an ideal anode material for Li-ion,Na-ion,and K-ion batteries,with high capacity,low open circuit voltage,and high ion diffusion ***,our calculations show that the theoretical capacities obtained using DFT-D2 are higher than those obtained using DFT-D3,providing a valuable reference for subsequent theoretical calculations.

Spread of plasmids carrying antibiotic resistance genes in soil-lettuce-snail food chain

Fertilization can change the composition of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs) and their host bacteria in agricultural fields, while complex microbial activities help ARGs into crops and transmit them to humans through agricultural ***, this study constructed a farmland food chain with soil-lettuce-snail as a typical structure, added genetically engineered Pseudomonas fluorescens containing multidrug-resistant plasmid RP4 to track its spread in the farmland food chain, and used different fertilization methods to explore its influence on the spread and diffusion of ARGs and intl1 in the farmland food chain. It was found that exogenous Pseudomonas can enter plants from soil and pass into snails' intestines, and there is horizontal gene transfer phenomenon of RP4 plasmid in bacteria. At different interfaces of the constructed food chain, the addition of exogenous drug-resistant bacteria had different effects on the total abundance of ARGs and intl1. Fertilization, especially manure, not only promoted the spread of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the transfer of RP4 plasmid levels, but also significantly increased the total abundance of ARGs and intl1 at all interfaces of the constructed food chain. The main ARGs host bacteria in the constructed food chain include Proteobacteria, Bacteroides, and Firmicutes, while Flavobacterium of Bacteroides is the unique potential host bacteria of RP4 plasmid. In conclusion, this study provides a reference for the risk assessment of ARGs transmitted to the human body through the food chain, and has important practical significance to reduce the antibiotic resistance contamination of agricultural products and ensure the safety of vegetable basket. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Automatic Generation of Intelligent Vehicle Testing Scenarios at Intersections Based on Natural Driving Datasets

Turning right at a junction without the aid of traffic signals is a frequent cause of intersection accidents and a situation that intelligent automobiles will need to handle well in the future. This allows this study to choose the traffic circumstances of turning right at junctions and traveling straight through them. It then suggests an automatic approach for creating test scenarios for intelligent vehicles based on Monte Carlo simulation. Through the examination of scene feature parameters and a natural driving dataset, a Markov chain-based right-turn trajectory model was created. Then, test vehicle trajectories and right-turn trajectories were produced using Monte Carlo simulations. By figuring out the average DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) value between the created and actual right-turn trajectories in the four speed intervals with the highest occurrence probabilities, the authenticity of the generated right-turn trajectories was confirmed. The produced trajectories were simultaneously loaded into the software for cooperative simulation. The AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system's shortcomings were shown by extracting the relative positions of the two cars before to the incident. The two popular varieties of AEB algorithm models were then compared using safety and comfort parameters. Furthermore, the test scenario's risk level can be managed by changing the scenario feature settings. There are some potential uses for the suggested test scenario generation method in the testing and assessment of algorithms for intelligent vehicles. IEEE
