Under the condition of Karush-Kuhn-Tucker, the Pareto Set (PS) in the decision area of an m-objective optimization problem is a piecewise continuous (m-1)-D manifold. For illustrate the degree of convergence of the population, we employed the ratio of the sum of the first (m-1) largest eigenvalue of the population's covariance matrix of the sum of all eigenvalue. Based on this property, this paper proposes a new algorithm, called DE/RMMEDA, which mix differential evolutionary (DE) and the estimation of distribution algorithm (EDA) to generate and adaptively adjusts the number of new solutions by the ratio. The proposed algorithm is experimented on nine tec09 problems. The comparison results between DE/RM-MEDA and the others algorithms, called NSGA-II-DE and RM-MEDA, show that the proposed algorithm perform better in terms of convergence and diversity metric. Motion blur is one of the most common degradation artifacts in dynamic scene photography. This paper reviews the NTIRE 2020 Challenge on Image and Video Deblurring. In this challenge, we present the evaluation results from 3 competition tracks as well as the proposed solutions. Track 1 aims to develop single-image deblurring methods focusing on restoration quality. On Track 2, the image deblurring methods are executed on a mobile platform to find the balance of the running speed and the restoration accuracy. Track 3 targets developing video deblurring methods that exploit the temporal relation between input frames. In each competition, there were 163, 135, and 102 registered participants and in the final testing phase, 9, 4, and 7 teams competed. The winning methods demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance on image and video deblurring tasks. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Education apart from the basic needs of food, clothing and shelter, is another key factor to empower an individual. It acts as an enabler to elevate a person socially and from within. Education system has been evolving since human existence and various approaches are being used to teach. Focusing on professional courses, the quality of education is questioned and stands as a concern along with the unemployment issues. In India, there is a huge potential for technology growth. However, as per the National employability report, only 3.84% of engineers qualify for a startup technology role. Further, 2016 employability rate has been 17.91%, 3.67% and 40.57% for IT services, IT Products and Business Process Outsourcing respectively. Apart from this, there are many forums in which the quality of education is being questioned, since education is linked with the job or business opportunity. One of the essentials in the professional courses is the curriculum design. It is very important to start with the curriculum that can enhance the knowledge of students and also make a prospective career. With these in mind, the improvement options have to be deeply thought and charted out. In this regard, a survey has been taken up with engineering professionals to get their feedback on how they view the education system. This paper focuses on the feedback from working engineering professionals, compares the existing and other curriculum options and provides a proposal for a value based curriculum design.

Hybrid Filtrations Recommendation system based on Privacy Preserving in Edge computing

It is challenging to design a secure recommendation system on the Internet which can help users to select their favorite products as less privacy leaked as possible. In this paper, we present a hybrid filtrations recommendation system based on privacy preserving in edge computing (HFRS-PP), which can prevent the users’ privacy information from being leaked via the merits of edge computing in the process of computing and ensure the real-time, accuracy and stability of the query results. Particularly, we propose a privacy-preserving recommendation algorithm to obtain the desired results for the end users through hybrid filtrations. The filtration-rough set theory algorithm is given to distinguish the valid reviews from spam reviews for the next filtration.

Applying the proliferated location-based services (LBS) to social networks has spawned mobile social network (MSN) services that it allows users to discover potential friends around them. In this paper, we focus on the problem of location privacy preserving in MSN. Particularly, we propose a location privacy preserving (RPAR) scheme via to repartition anonymous region where the central anonymous location minimizes the traffic between the anonymous server and the LBS server while protecting the privacy of the user location.

Robust Learning to Rank Based on Portfolio Theory and AMOSA Algorithm

Effectiveness is the most important factor considered in the ranking models yielded by algorithms of learning to rank (LTR). Most of the related ranking models only focus on improving the average effectiveness but ignore robustness. When a ranking model ignores robustness, the effectiveness for many queries is possibly very poor although the average effectiveness for all queries is relatively high. Therefore, Wang et al. first consider robustness in their ranking models. However, the robustness formula defined by Wang et al. cannot characterize those queries whose effectiveness are hurt seriously in comparison with the baseline model. In order to overcome this shortcoming, we propose a novel formula of characterizing robustness based on portfolio theory, and construct a multiobjective optimization model of the robust LTR in which the formula is used. Based on this model, we propose an approach of risk-sensitive and robust LTR, named as R2Rank, which is based on the framework of archived multiobjective simulated annealing algorithm and the idea of preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluation. The experimental results show that the ranking models produced by our proposed R2Rank approach are better in both effectiveness and robustness than those produced by three state-of-the-art LTR approaches. © 2016 IEEE.

Spike Sorting Based on Window-Gradient Feature

Spike sorting is difficult when there is high waveforms similarity between different spike or when there is a large number of superimposed spikes in the sample. A new sample optimization method is proposed in the paper, called window-gradient feature. Every spike waveform is segmented into successive fragments in terms of the width σ, and each segment is called a window. Then calculate the gradient change of each window and use the ratio as the new alternative feature of the window. Finally, all window-gradient features of the spike waveforms are used to replace the original waveform features for spike sporting. The method is verified on the simulation data at different SNR. The experimental results show that when using SVM for spike sorting, the optimization effect of the proposed method is better than PCA, especially for data sets data sets with high noise or large sampling waveform similarity.

Due to the characteristic of risk diversification in non–life insurance industry, the company's financial risk early warning is very important. In order to reasonably predict the financial status of non–life insurance company, the evaluation system of financial risk indicator is constructed from the aspects of solvency, profitability, and growth ability. Taking data of non–life insurance companies in past years as sample, the evaluation indicators are weighted objectively using the entropy method. The RBF neural network model is improved with the genetic algorithm, and the early warning model is established. The empirical results show that the prediction accurate rate of RBF neural network model based on genetic algorithm is increased. © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
