As the power grid expands and the proportion of renewable energy increases, the uncertainty and randomness of the power grid have increased, posing a threat to the security of system operation. It becomes crucial to identify the crucial links in the power grid to ensure its reliability during operation. Addressing the issues of slow identification speed and difficulty in meeting the actual operational requirements of traditional methods for identifying crucial links in the power grid, this paper proposes a method based on the Modified Graph Attention Network (MGAT) algorithm for identifying crucial link in the power grid. Firstly, combining complex network theory with actual power grid operational data, an evaluation index set is established. Subsequently, the MGAT is utilized to explore the mapping relationships between various indicators during power grid operation and the crucial links, forming a model for crucial link identification. Considering the requirements of training accuracy and efficiency, the original data is preprocessed to optimize the model. Next, through simulation, the original dataset is obtained for training, validation, and testing of the identification model. Finally, the proposed model is applied to an improved IEEE 30-node system and a real power grid. The results indicate the feasibility of the proposed method, with accuracy and speed surpassing traditional methods, demonstrating its practical engineering value. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.

Aiming at the increasing burden of power system peaking caused by the integration of large-scale new energy generation into the grid and the imperfect participation mechanisms for peaking entities in the power market, this paper proposes an optimal dispatch method for multiple storage and thermal power units. Firstly, to reduce the impact of the volatility of new energy generation on system peaking, the planned market trading power of new energy is optimally allocated with the goal of minimizing the net load on the grid. Secondly, a multi-storage lease transaction mechanism and an energy storage lease declaration model based on the whole life cycle cost are designed, and the charging and discharging power of individual storage units is optimized with the objective of maximizing revenue from multi-storage leasing. Finally, typical daily data are selected and simulated in the improved IEEE 30-bus system. The results show that the proposed method reduces the curtailment rate of new energy and effectively improves the economic efficiency of peaking for power market entities.

At present, substations usually use electrical blocking facilities to achieve the function of anti-fault blocking, but new stations and new reconstruction and expansion stations have the problem of low efficiency in the compilation and review of anti-fault blocking logic rules, and also need a lot of manual debugging and checking time. In this paper, based on the typical substation wiring and anti-false blocking logic rules, the typical substation wiring library and the corresponding blocking logic library are constructed;then, the graphic editing module and graphic analysis module are constructed by combining the substation modelling method with the topology and other technologies. Finally, the automatic generation of anti-error latching logic rules is realised, which solves the problems of low efficiency and lack of reliability in the writing and checking of the corresponding substation anti-misoperation locking logic rules. © 2024 IEEE.

A dual-level trajectory planning method is proposed for the trajectory planning of hypersonic vehicles with no-fly zone constraint. To improve the efficiency of the trajectory planning, the method is designed in two levels: the first level is the heading planning, and the second level is the trajectory planning. For the first level, a rapid heading planning method is proposed based on the graphical model of no-fly zones, and the evaluation of the avoidance heading is based on the simplified lateral dynamics equation. The second level introduces the avoidance heading constraint and the fitness with self-seeking, and thus the trajectory planning model can quickly generate a trajectory that satisfies the constraints. Finally, the proposed dual-level planning method is validated by simulations of hypersonic flight with multiple no-fly zones. The results show that the proposed method is capable to generate flight trajectories in high efficiency.

Silicone rubber (SIR) has been widely used in the insulation of cable accessories due to its excellent performance. In this paper, pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites are thermally aged for 0-80 days at 200°C. The effects of long-term thermal aging on the space charge transport are analyzed. The results show that with the increase of thermal aging time, the accumulation of heteropolar charge of pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites gradually decreases and changes to the accumulation of homopolar charge. Compared with pure SIR, the space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites decreases significantly and changes little with the increase of thermal aging time. It is believed that when doped nano Al2O3 in SIR, the increase of carrier mobility and the introduction of metal oxides reacting with fallen free radicals to form stable compounds both lead to less space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites. © 2022 IEEE.

As the core device in the field of communication, filter is developing towards miniaturization and high frequency. In this paper, a new dual frequency filter based on step impedance resonator is proposed. The resonant frequencies of the proposed stepped impedance resonator (SIR) dual frequency filter are 2.4GHz and 5.2GHz, and the isolation is greater than 20dB. © 2021 IEEE.

Unraveling climate change-induced compound low-solar-low-wind extremes in China

China's pursuit of carbon neutrality targets hinges on a profound shift towards low-carbon energy, primarily reliant on intermittent and variable, yet crucial, solar and wind power sources. In particular,low-solar-low-wind(LSLW) compound extremes present a critical yet largely ignored threat to the reliability of renewable electricity generation. While existing studies have largely evaluated the impacts of average climate-induced changes in renewable energy resources, comprehensive analyses of the compound extremes and, particularly, the underpinning dynamic mechanisms remain scarce. Here we show the dynamic evolution of compound LSLW extremes and their underlying mechanisms across China via coupling multi-model simulations with diagnostic analysis. Our results unveil a strong topographic dependence in the frequency of compound LSLW extremes, with a national average frequency of 16.4(10th–90th percentile interval ranges from 5.3 to 32.6) days/yr, when renewable energy resources in eastern China are particularly compromised(～80% lower than that under an average climate). We reveal a striking increase in the frequency of LSLW extremes, ranging from 12.4% under SSP126 to 60.2% under SSP370,primarily driven by both renewable energy resource declines and increasingly heavily-tailed distributions,resulting from weakened meridional temperature(pressure) gradient, increased frequency of extremely dense cloud cover and additional distinctive influence of increased aerosols under SSP370. Our study underscores the urgency of preparing for significantly heightened occurrences of LSLW events in a warmer future, emphasizing that such climate-induced compound LSLW extreme changes are not simply by chance,but rather projectable, thereby underscoring the need for proactive adaptation strategies. Such insights are crucial for countries navigating a similar transition towards renewable energy.

The offshore wind power has been gaining increasing attention in recent years. Low-frequency alternating current (LFAC) transmission is emerging as a promising technology with specific advantages for offshore wind power transmission. This paper discusses the structure and control of the offshore wind power transmission system based on LFAC. In order to enhance the support for the power system, grid-forming control can be implemented on both sides of the modular multilevel matrix converter (M3C) used in LFAC. Additionally, the capacitor voltage control of M3C is briefly introduced. Furthermore, power reserve control is utilized to enable wind turbines to participate in primary frequency regulation. Finally, the effectiveness of the designed control system is verified through simulation using PSCAD/EMTDC, further demonstrating the efficacy of the strategy.

The increasing integration of renewable energy reduces the inertia and frequency support capacity of the power system. The issue of frequency stability has become one of the core issues in the security and stability of power system and the efficient consumption of renewable energy nowadays. To improve the performance of renewable energy power station (REPS), based on the analysis of typical active support control logic and relative performance requirements of REPS with single energy source (SES), an active support control strategy and coordinated control logic of active power of REPS with multiple energy sources (MES) are proposed in this paper. The performance of proposed strategy is theoretically analyzed from the aspect of dominant energy source and the effect of the capacity of energy storage. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy and the accuracy of the theoretical analysis of performance are verified by realtime simulation.

A B S T R A C TMicroplastic analysis is crucial for human health. Thus far, research has primarily focused on investigating microplastics within aqueous environments, while in situ techniques for detecting microplastic particles in the atmosphere remain scarce. Herein, we introduce an innovative flexible sensor for the in-situ detection of microplastics in the atmosphere, using surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effects. Our sensor, composed of Au nanoparticle (AuNP) tapes fabricated via a novel "drop-coating and peel-off" method, demonstrates outstanding SERS performance. The size, morphology, and electromagnetic field enhancement of the AuNP tape were thoroughly characterized using multiple complementary techniques, including scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV–vis spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and the finite-difference time-domain method. Owing to its exceptional transparency and sensitivity, the AuNP tape facilitates the reliable identification of multi-component microplastics in the atmospheric environment. This study bridges a critical gap in microplastic research and enhances our understanding of microplastic pollution. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
