This study mainly focus on Sybil attacks with the Identity-Augmented Proof-of-Stake (IdAPoS) protocol under different network topologies, including random, scale-free, and hierarchical networks. The study finds that scale-free networks are more resistant to Sybil attacks, delaying their effects. Furthermore, the research improves the IdAPoS protocol by introducing active strategies for honest nodes, which improves the behaviours of this protocol, and by enabling them to dynamically assess and update their trusted and suspicious authority lists based on on-ledger data, which improves the completeness of this protocol. © 2024 IEEE.

The three-electrode sliding dielectric barrier discharge(TES-DBD) plasma actuator significantly enhances the ionization rate and momentum exchange between charged particles and neutral particles by incorporating a parallel DC electrode into the standard DBD design. This design improves the body force and induced jet velocity while allowing flexible control of the induced jet angle, overcoming the limitations of discharge extension and uncontrollable direction in traditional DBD plasma actuators. An integrated plasma power supply has been designed specifically for TES-DBD plasma actuators, streamlining the power supply management. The methodology involves designing the circuit topology for the TES-DBD power supply, followed by simulating and validating its operating principles using Multisim software. The operational performance of the power supply is evaluated through a comprehensive analysis of its electrical,thermal, and aerodynamic properties specific to TES-DBD plasma actuation.

Real-time ray-based channel generation and emulation for UAV communications

A real-time ray-based hardware emulator for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) communication channels which suits for the Three-Dimensional(3D) dynamic scenarios and considers the movements of both terminals is developed in this paper. The time-variant channel parameters, i.e.,ray delay, ray gain, and ray Doppler frequency are precalculated in the host by using the Ray Tracing(RT) method. Meanwhile, RT simulation dramatically increases the number of valid rays. To address the problem of resource limitation and huge computational burden in the implementation,an efficient ray coefficients generation method based on iteration is proposed and *** the advantages of low cost and high flexibility, a software Defined Radio(SDR) hardware platform is used to emulate the ray-based UAV channels by utilizing the compact architecture including the Time-Division(TD) scheme and Tapped-Delay Line(TDL) for channel ***, hardware measurement results demonstrate that the properties of emulated channel, i.e.,Power Delay Profile(PDP) and Doppler Power Spectrum Density(DPSD) consist with the simulated ones, which verifies the correctness of hardware implementation. The proposed channel emulator provides an efficient way for optimization, verification, and evaluation of UAV communication systems.

In this paper,self-designed multi-hollow needle electrodes are used as a high-voltage electrode in a packed bed dielectric barrier discharge reactor to facilitate fast gas flow through the active discharge area and achieve large-volume stable *** dynamic characteristics of the plasma,the generated active species,and the energy transfer mechanisms in both positive discharge(PD)and negative discharge(ND)are investigated by using fast-exposure intensified charge coupled device(ICCD)images and time-resolved optical emission *** experimental results show that the discharge intensity,number of discharge channels,and discharge volume are obviously enhanced when the multi-needle electrode is replaced by a multihollow needle *** a single voltage pulse period,PD mainly develops in a streamer mode,which results in a stronger discharge current,luminous intensity,and E/N compared with the diffuse mode observed in *** PD,as the gap between dielectric beads changes from 0 to250μm,the discharge between the dielectric bead gap changes from a partial discharge to a standing filamentary micro-discharge,which allows the plasma to leave the local area and is conducive to the propagation of surface *** ND,the discharge only appears as a diffusionlike mode between the gap of dielectric beads,regardless of whether there is a discharge ***,the generation of excited states N_(2)^(+)(B^(2)∑_(u)^(+))and N2(C^(3)Π_(u))is mainly observed in PD,which is attributed to the higher E/N in PD than that in ***,the generation of the OH(A^(2)∑^(+))radical in ND is higher than in *** is not directly dominated by E/N,but mainly by the resonant energy transfer process between metastable N_(2)(A^(3)∑_(u)^(+))and OH(X^(2)Π).Furthermore,both PD and ND demonstrate obvious energy relaxation processes of electron-to-vibration and vibration-to-vibration,and no vibration-to-rotation energy relaxation process is observed.

The Winograd Schema Challenge (WSC) is a popular benchmark for commonsense reasoning. Each WSC instance has a component that corresponds to the mention of the correct answer option of the two options in the context. We observe that the answers of many instances are insensitive to the options. In this paper, based on this observation, we propose an approach based on fine-tuning the pre-trained language model for WSC by distinguishing sensitive and insensitive options. First, we split WSC instances into option-sensitive and insensitive categories, and use option expanding and option masking strategies to weaken the options so that the model does not pay attention to options when they are insensitive during fine-tuning. Second, we treat the two categories as intermediate-task of each other, and use transfer learning to improve the performance. We fine-tune BERT-Large and T5-XXL with our approach on WINOGRANDE, a new dataset of WSC, and the experiment shows our method outperforms baselines by a large margin, achieving state-of-the-art, which indicates the effectiveness of our instance-distinguishing strategy. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The Linux kernel adopts a large number of security checks to prevent security-sensitive operations from being executed under unsafe *** a security-sensitive operation is unchecked,a missing-check issue *** check is a class of severe bugs in software programs especially in operating system kernels,which may cause a variety of security issues,such as out-of-bound accesses,permission bypasses,and privilege *** to the lack of security specifications,how to automatically identify security-sensitive operations and their required security checks in the Linux kernel becomes a challenge for missing-check *** this paper,we present an accurate missing-check analysis method for Linux kernel,which can automatically infer possible security-sensitive ***,we first automatically identify all possible security check functions of *** according to their callsites,a two-direction analysis method is leveraged to identify possible security-sensitive operations.A missing-check bug is reported when the security-sensitive operation is not protected by its corresponding security *** have implemented our method as a tool,named AMCheX,on top of the LLVM(Low Level Virtual Machine)framework and evaluated it on the Linux *** reported 12 new missing-check bugs which can cause security *** of them have been confirmed by Linux maintainers.

In complex environments with vast and diverse information sources, target recognition serves as a crucial precursor to situational analysis, providing the foundation for further decision-making and analysis. Traditional algorithms for target recognition often rely on human experience and rules, necessitating expert knowledge and subjective judgments, which introduces uncertainties. This paper introduces a method for target recognition inference, leveraging Situation Knowledge Graph Convolutional Neural Network (SKGCN). By employing active and passive radar sensor data in complex scenarios, the algorithm processes inputs within a self-constructed situational knowledge graph. It derives vector representations of target entities through aggregation operations among neighboring nodes and extracts perceptual data vectors using the embedding layer. The algorithm calculates the alignment between sensor data and target entities, facilitating target recognition and inference in complex scenarios. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2024 IEEE.
