To improve the robustness of graph neural networks (GNN), graph structure learning (GSL) has attracted great interest due to the pervasiveness of noise in graph data. Many approaches have been proposed for GSL to jointly learn a clean graph structure and corresponding representations. To extend the previous work, this paper proposes a novel regularized GSL approach, particularly with an alignment of feature information and graph information, which is motivated mainly by our derived lower bound of node-level Rademacher complexity for GNNs. Additionally, our proposed approach incorporates sparse dimensional reduction to leverage low-dimensional node features that are relevant to the graph structure. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we conduct experiments on real-world graphs. The results demonstrate that our proposed GSL method outperforms several competitive baselines, especially in scenarios where the graph structures are heavily affected by noise. Overall, our research highlights the importance of integrating feature and graph information alignment in GSL, as inspired by our derived theoretical result, and showcases the superiority of our approach in handling noisy graph structures through comprehensive experiments on real-world datasets. Training of Spiking Neural Network joint Curriculum Learning Strategy

Starting with small and simple concepts, and gradually introducing complex and difficult concepts is the natural process of human learning. Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) aim to mimic the way humans process information, but current SNNs models treat all samples equally, which does not align with the principles of human learning and overlooks the biological plausibility of SNNs. To address this, we propose a CL-SNN model that introduces Curriculum Learning(CL) into SNNs, making SNNs learn more like humans and providing higher biological interpretability. CL is a training strategy that advocates presenting easier data to models before gradually introducing more challenging data, mimicking the human learning process. We use a confidence-aware loss to measure and process the samples with different difficulty levels. By learning the confidence of different samples, the model reduces the contribution of difficult samples to parameter optimization automatically. We conducted experiments on static image datasets MNIST, Fashion-MNIST, CIFAR10, and neuromorphic datasets N-MNIST, CIFAR10-DVS, DVS-Gesture. The results are promising. SPECT bone imaging is an important means to assist doctors in diagnosing diseases. The traditional processing method is that radiologists diagnose images. Manual diagnosis is not only cumbersome and time-consuming, but also different diagnosis results will be caused by the different diagnosis experience of doctors. In view of the above problems, this paper uses U-Net network as the basic model, and at the same time conducts model performance optimization research. Based on the U-Net network, the attention mechanism is integrated to segment the bone metastases in the pelvic area. Introducing the attention mechanism into the U-Net network can help improve the correlation of the pelvic region and reduce the interference caused by problems such as uneven brightness and low contrast to the model. Through multiple sets of experimental demonstrations, the U-Net network integrated with the attention mechanism can better segment bone metastases in the pelvic region based on SPECT images, and the model indicators have been significantly improved.

SPECT bone imaging is among the main nuclear medicine functional imaging modalities, which has the potential of early diagnosis of various serious diseases such as cancers. However, the low resolution and contrast of SPECT bone images bring huge challenges to performance on segmenting hotspots or lesions in SPECT bone scan images. In this work, three different algorithms including K-means clustering method, region growth method and C- V model are introduced to segment lesions in SPECT bone scan images by fine-tuning parameters, focusing on the bone metastatic lesions area in SPECT imaging. Specifically, each of the original 256 × 1024 whole body images is cropped into a 256 × 256 thoracic region including ribs and spine, followed by the data normalization. Then, different parameters are experimentally determined for the above three algorithms, leading to three different segmentation algorithms. Last, experimental evaluation conducted on a group of real-world samples of SPECT bone scan images reveals that our methods are workable for segmenting lesions with SPECT imaging, obtaining a value of 0.7307, 0.7768 and 0.8076 for Tanimoto similarity coefficient metric by the three methods, respectively. Particularly, the C- V model based segmentation method is able to provide more assistive information for oncologists on diagnose of tumors and other related diseases.

Blockchain can be envisioned as an enabling framework in terms of cryptography and distributed computing to construct trusted data records among un-trusted users. It can be applied in two typical scenarios - historical process provenance and transaction tracing, by immutably sequentialized blocks. In the former there exists no tokens; but in the latter token handover among accounts should be cryptographically guaranteed. In some situations, above two applications may be both required. E.g., in the manufacture of a jewel, processing flow by different operators should be recorded for quality guaranteeing, and in its trading stage, the ownership handover should be recorded for value confirmation. To tackle above two requirements, two chains are usually thus demanded. In this paper, we propose a single chain solution to avoid cross-chain burden, by a hybrid block structure. The process data can be imported from the legacy (non-anonymous) information processing system, and transaction data stems from anonymous payment demand for ownership handover. We formally describe and prove token handover model with cryptographical authenticity. We also propose several security enhancements in the design for shortening the length of the chain, and protecting the data confidentiality in the chain. Our design is general and not limited to single application. The experimental results and extensive analysis justified that the performance and security of our proposed scheme is efficient.

Nowadays, with advanced information technologies deployed citywide, large data volumes and powerful computational resources are intelligentizing modern city development. As an important part of intelligent transportation, route recommendation and its applications are widely used, directly influencing citizens' travel habits. Developing smart and efficient travel routes based on big data (possibly multi-modal) has become a central challenge in route recommendation research. Our survey offers a comprehensive review of route recommendation work based on urban computing. It is organized by the following three parts: 1) Methodology-wise. We categorize a large volume of classic methods and modern deep learning methods. Also, we discuss their historical relations and reveal the edge-cutting progress. 2) application-wise. We present numerous novel applications related to route commendation within urban computing scenarios. 3) We discuss current problems and challenges and envision several promising research directions. We believe that this survey can help relevant researchers quickly familiarize themselves with the current state of route recommendation research and then direct them to future research trends. The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly permeating all aspects of human life, involving a network of devices that share sensitive data. A notable application is the e-healthcare systems, which employ connected sensors, medical servers, and wearable devices. However, the public nature of communication in e-healthcare systems poses challenges such as security, privacy, and authentication of participating entities. Recently, many authentication protocols have been introduced to address these challenges. However, most of these protocols remain vulnerable to various security attacks, including device or medical server impersonation, denial of service, physical or cloning, and de-synchronization attacks. Therefore, we introduce an authenticated key-management protocol utilizing hash functions and Cipher-Block Chaining-Advanced Encryption Standard encryption (CBC-AES) encryption. The proposed protocol also employs the Physical Unclonable Function (PUF), which makes it more robust and efficient in resisting physical or cloning attacks. Additionally, the proposed scheme resists various security threats, including impersonation, session key leakage, ephemeral secret leakage, and de-synchronization attacks. We analyze the scheme’s security and reliability through formal and informal analysis. The informal analysis demonstrates that the scheme encompasses crucial security features, while the formal analysis substantiates. Moreover, performance analysis of the proposed protocol with various competing results indicates that our protocol achieves an average reduction in communication and computation overheads by 36.03.% and 41.79%, respectively. © 2014 IEEE.

A Hybrid Continuity Loss to Reduce Over-Suppression for Time-domain Target Speaker Extraction

The speaker extraction algorithm extracts the target speech from a mixture speech containing interference speech and background noise. The extraction process sometimes over-suppresses the extracted target speech, which not only creates artifacts during listening but also harms the performance of downstream automatic speech recognition algorithms. We propose a hybrid continuity loss function for time-domain speaker extraction algorithms to settle the over-suppression problem. On top of the waveform-level loss used for superior signal quality, i.e., SI-SDR, we introduce a multi-resolution delta spectrum loss in the frequency-domain, to ensure the continuity of an extracted speech signal, thus alleviating the over-suppression. We examine the hybrid continuity loss function using a time-domain audio-visual speaker extraction algorithm on the YouTube LRS2-BBC dataset. Experimental results show that the proposed loss function reduces the over-suppression and improves the word error rate of speech recognition on both clean and noisy two-speakers mixtures, without harming the reconstructed speech quality. Ultrasound images are vital for medical diagnostics but often suffer from information loss and blurred details due to limitations in imaging systems and sensor technologies. Many researchers have proposed super-resolution algorithms to enhance medical images. But existing super-resolution methods struggle with the uneven distribution of noise and clarity. To address this, we propose a super-resolution algorithm for medical images based on multi-scale feature aggregation Leveraging the architecture of Unet as our primary framework, our method enhances output details through multi-scale hole convolutions. Taking into consideration the characteristics of ultrasonic images, we propose a frequency domain-based module to enhances edge information while effectively denoising the image. Furthermore, to improve the quality of the output images, we introduce an image processing module grounded in global information. The module ensures clarity while considering the overarching context, thereby preserving global consistency and enhancing output quality. We experiment on three datasets to demonstrate the effectiveness of our model. Additionally, significant improvements in medical image segmentation are observed, proving the practicability of our proposed approach.

Deep Neural Networks (DNN) have achieved extraordinary success in many visual recognition tasks. Visual Transformer (ViT), which is derived from Natural Language Processing (NLP), has achieved state-of-the-art (SOTA) results on many tasks due to its capability of capturing long-range dependencies in visual data. However, Existing ViT models are challenging to deploy on devices due to their massive computational consumption, huge memory overhead, and reliance on large datasets. In this work, we address these issues by replacing some computationally expensive and memory-intensive modules in ViT with standard Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) modules. Firstly, we propose an efficient Self-Attention module called SDG-Attention (SDGA) with linear space and time complexity, and an economical FeedForward Network (FFN) composed of group convolution and shuffle channel (SFFN). Then, we develop a lightweight CNN model with SDGA and SFFN, SDGFormer, which embraces several priors of ViT and is LayerNorm-Free. We evaluate SDGFormer on ImageNet-1K and Mini-ImageNet, and the SDGFormer-S achieves a comparable top-1 accuracy of 77.6% on ImageNet-1K with 9.1M parameters and 1.6 GFlops regimes. Moreover, our SDGFormer-T achieves SOTA performance on Mini-ImageNet with 83.3% accuracy, demonstrating good generalization on small datasets without extra data.
