The aim is to construct a country-dimension knowledge graph of COVID-19 vaccines from the information of COVID-19 vaccines and to analyze the leading countries of vaccine R&D by combining the advantages of easy operation and intuitive feeling of knowledge graph visualization,to provide a reference for Chinese vaccine R&D departments and international *** this paper,through data collection,based on entity extraction and relationship construction,a knowledge graph of country dimensions was established by specifying the central vaccine R&D countries and vaccine distribution,and multidimensional microdata such as word frequency and betweenness centrality were combined to analyze the national characteristics of the COVID-19 *** analysis of the knowledge graph of the country dimension of the COVID-19 vaccine shows that countries with robust technology and economies,such as the US and China,choose to develop vaccine distribution independently,countries with advanced economies,such as Saudi Arabia,decide to purchase vaccine distribution,and less developed countries,such as South Africa and Latin America,need international aid for vaccines or purchase low-cost *** paper constructs the correlation between nodes and nodes of the COVID-19 vaccine with the help of a knowledge graph,systematically and comprehensively reveals the research mainstay and distribution model of the COVID-19 vaccine from the national level,and provides rationalized suggestions for international cooperation in vaccine R&D in China.

Human skeleton-based action recognition has long been an indispensable aspect of artificial intelligence. Current state-of-the-art methods tend to consider only the dependencies between connected skeletal joints, limiting their ability to capture non-linear dependencies between physically distant joints. Moreover, most existing approaches distinguish action classes by estimating the probability density of motion representations, yet the high-dimensional nature of human motions invokes inherent difficulties in accomplishing such measurements. In this paper, we seek to tackle these challenges from two directions: (1) We propose a novel dependency refinement approach that explicitly models dependencies between any pair of joints, effectively transcending the limitations imposed by joint distance. (2) We further propose a framework that utilizes the Hilbert-Schmidt Independence Criterion to differentiate action classes without being affected by data dimensionality, and mathematically derive learning objectives guaranteeing precise recognition. Empirically, our approach sets the state-of-the-art performance on NTU RGB+D, NTU RGB+D 120, and Northwestern-UCLA datasets. © 2024, CC BY-SA.

Multi-modality image fusion aims at fusing modality-specific (complementarity) and modality-shared (correlation) information from multiple source images. To tackle the problem of the neglect of inter-modal information, high-frequency information loss and limited attention to downstream tasks, this paper focuses on how to model correlation-driven decomposing features and reason high-level graph representation by efficiently extracting complementary features and aggregating multi-guided features. We propose a three-branch encoder-decoder architecture along with corresponding fusion layers as the fusion strategy. The transformer with Multi-Dconv Head Transposed Attention and Local-enhanced Feed Forward network is used to extract shallow features after the depthwise convolution. In the three parallel branches of the encoder, Cross Attention and Invertible Block (CAI) enables to extract local features and preserve high-frequency texture details. Base Feature Extraction Module (BFE) with residual connections can capture long-range dependencies and enhance modality-shared information. Graph Reasoning Module (GR) is introduced to reason high-level cross-modality relations and simultaneously extract low-level detail features as CAI’s modality-specific complementary information. Experiments demonstrate that our method obtains competitive results compared with state-of-the-art methods in visible/infrared image fusion and medical image fusion tasks. Moreover, we surpass other fusion methods in terms of subsequent tasks, averagely scoring 8.27% mAP@0.5 higher in object detection and 5.85% mIoU higher in semantic segmentation. Troublemaker Learning for Low-Light Image Enhancement

Low-light image enhancement (LLIE) restores the color and brightness of underexposed images. Supervised methods suffer from high costs in collecting low/normal-light image pairs. Unsupervised methods invest substantial effort in crafting complex loss functions. We address these two challenges through the proposed TroubleMaker Learning (TML) strategy, which employs normal-light images as inputs for training. TML is simple: we first dim the input and then increase its brightness. TML is based on two core components. First, the troublemaker model (TM) constructs pseudo low-light images from normal images to relieve the cost of pairwise data. Second, the predicting model (PM) enhances the brightness of pseudo low-light images. Additionally, we incorporate an enhancing model (EM) to further improve the visual performance of PM outputs. Moreover, in LLIE tasks, characterizing global element correlations is important because more information on the same object can be captured. CNN cannot achieve this well, and self-attention has high time complexity. Accordingly, we propose Global Dynamic Convolution (GDC) with O(n) time complexity, which essentially imitates the partial calculation process of self-attention to formulate elementwise correlations. Based on the GDC module, we build the UGDC model. Extensive quantitative and qualitative experiments demonstrate that UGDC trained with TML can achieve competitive performance against state-of-the-art approaches on public datasets. Left ventricle (LV) segmentation in echocardiography is of paramount significance in cardiac function analysis. Recently, semi-supervised segmentation has garnered considerable attention due to its potential mitigation of labeling costs. Despite this, most semi-supervised methodologies tend to overlook the specialized anatomical priors specific to echocardiography, often yielding suboptimal outcomes. Simultaneously, atlas priors have been validated on other organs and imaging modalities. However, their direct application in echocardiography is fraught with challenges, primarily attributed to the indistinct boundaries of the LV and the presence of fan-shaped image edges, which impede atlas image registration. This paper presents a new method of semi-supervised segmentation using multi-atlas fusion, named SS- MAF, which is designed to incorporate atlas priors tailored for echocardiography while circumventing the intricate image registration process in traditional atlas-based methods. The SS-MAF comprises two components: a Multi-Task Learning (MTL) module and a Multi-Atlas Fusion (MAF) module. The MTL module serves precise landmark localization and segmentation estimation. The MAF module is primarily focused on the generation of probabilistic atlases, utilizing annotated atlas data with the guidance of key landmarks to facilitate the automatic annotation of unlabeled data, avoiding the traditional image-level registration, thus enhancing the performance of the MTL module. Our SS- MAF is rigorously evaluated on the publicly available CAMUS dataset, with results demonstrating its superiority over other state-of-the-art semi-supervised segmentation techniques in echocardiography.

Local search is an effective method for solving large-scale combinatorial optimization problems, and it has made remarkable progress in recent years through several subtle mechanisms. In this paper, we found two ways to improve the local search algorithms in solving Pseudo-Boolean Optimization(PBO): Firstly, some of those mechanisms such as unit propagation are merely used in solving MaxSAT before, which can be generalized to solve PBO as well;Secondly, the existing local search algorithms utilize the heuristic on variables, so-called score, to mainly guide the search. We attempt to gain more insights into the clause, as it plays the role of a middleman who builds a bridge between variables and the given formula. Hence, we first extended the combination of unit propagation-based decimation algorithm to PBO problem, giving a further generalized definition of unit clause for PBO problem, and apply it to the existing solver LS-PBO for constructing an initial assignment;then, we introduced a new heuristic on clauses, dubbed care, to set a higher priority for the clauses that are less satisfied in current iterations. Experiments on benchmarks from the most recent PB Competition, as well as three real-world application benchmarks including minimum-width confidence band, wireless sensor network optimization, and seating arrangement problems show that our algorithm DeciLS-PBO has a promising performance compared to the state-of-the-art algorithms. Affine Invariant Feature Based on Local Color

Image localization using local features has attracted a lot of attention in recent mobile robots research. A novel, fast local invariant feature in affine transformation is proposed in this article, called AIFLC (Affine invariant feature based on local color). We adopt affine moment invariants to build affine invariant descriptors. Moreover, we use color gradient based center moment instead of original pixel values in order to enhance discriminative power and robustness of descriptor in photometric transformations. Simulation results show that the run time of AIFLC using optimal selection parameters is about 1/3 of classical SIFT algorithm. Using the standard evaluation images and the ones taken by mobile robots, we experimentally demonstrate that the AIFLC outperforms the state-of-art approaches such as SIFT and SURF in terms of image scaling, rotation, viewpoint changing, and blur transformations.

Mobile Crowdsensing is a type of technology that utilizes mobile devices and volunteers to gather data about specific topics at large scales in real-time. However, in practice, limited participation leads to missing data, i.e., the collected data may be sparse, which makes it difficult to perform accurate analysis. A possible technique called sparse crowdsensing incorporates the sparse case with data completion, where unsensed data could be estimated through inference. However, sparse crowdsensing typically suffers from poor performance during the data completion stage due to various challenges: the sparsity of the sensed data, reliance on numerous timeslots, and uncertain spatiotemporal connections. To resolve such few-shot issues, the proposed solution uses the Correlated Data Fusion for Matrix Completion (CDFMC) approach, which leverages a small amount of objective data to retrain an auxiliary dataset-based pre-trained model that can estimate unsensed data efficiently. CDFMC is trained using a combination of the traditional Deep Matrix Factorization and the Kalman Filtering, which not only enables the efficient representation and comparison of data samples but also fuses the objective data and auxiliary data effectively. Evaluation results show that the proposed CDFMC outperforms baseline techniques, achieving high accuracy in completing unsensed data with minimal training data.

Federated learning (FL) enables collaborative model training across multiple medical institutions to ensure data security. However, due to the variations in medical imaging equipment and regions at different medical institutions, FL methods usually suffer from insufficient data annotations and irrelevant noise within private datasets. To address these issues, a robust federated semi-supervised learning method via pseudo-label filtering (PFRFed) is introduced to utilize unlabeled data while mitigating the impact of noise data. Compared with existing federated semi-supervised learning methods, we propose a pseudo-label filtering mechanism with double dynamic thresholds, which allows the model to adopt more unlabeled data by adjusting the confidence and entropy thresholds at each stage of model training. Moreover, to reduce the degradation caused by noise data in private datasets from different clients, a noise-tolerant loss function and a grouping aggregation method based on the local model similarity are employed. The comparative experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of PFRFed, which has achieved the best classification accuracy of 95.20% and 88.72% on two public medical datasets. Also, PFRFed exhibits heightened resilience to variations in noisy data ratio and labeled data ratio, reaffirming its versatility and robustness.
