Thih paper proposed an intrusion detection system framework adapt to load characteristic under IPv6/4 environment; it uses decision-tree-based classification method, under guidance of a certain flow, creates dynamically rule matching tree adapt to load characteristic, reduces greatly the rule set that per packet or event need to be detected, improves the detection efficiency, can be utilized to solve the high packetloss problem; this paper proposed to make use of Petri net to built a mode to the complicated aggressive behavior, form the complicated aggressive rule library, improve the detection accuracy rate; in view of IPv6 security problem, make use of Snort rule description language, construct the detection rule under IPv6 environment; finally construct the platform in the local area network, carry on the simulation experiment. The experiment proved fully the feasibility and validity of intrusion detective method adapt to load characteristic under IPv6/4 environment. © 2008 IEEE.

According to the security features of WiMAX-based wireless communication network, a fresh new wireless communication authentication protocol called WCAP was advanced and designed adopting the dual-key authentication scheme based on trusted third party; its security was analyzed by two means of technical realization and formal analysis; the protocol was implemented by devising an integrated security authentication module; a test environment was set to test function and performance of the protocol. The analysis and test results show that WCAP achieves the original safety design goals on the premise of its correctness and performance. © 2008 IEEE.

We present a novel object localization approach based on the Global Structure Constraint model (GSC) and Optimal Algorithm. In GSC, Objects are described as constellations of points satisfied with their specific global structure constraints. The spatial relations among all the patches having stable color information and their representative color information around patches are encoded. Then, the searching algorithm, i.e. genetic algorithm, is used to locate target objects in images by finding out the exactly matched position. In the experiment, we tested the approach on a collection of human face images and the results demonstrated the approach is simple, effective and efficient. © 2008 IEEE.

Aiming at the dynamic policy trigger problem in policy based network management, this thesis first introduces the uncertain information generated by onepoint coverage random sets theory and also the unified framework of fuzzy information. On the basis of which, according to the feature of policy based network management, a model used to update the predicted information using present known information, experience, and knowledge is designed. At the same time, this thesis put forward that, take the semblance of policy as constant probability in product space conditional event algebra, so as to execute information fusion of multiple sets of related policy. In the end, compared with the policy based inference system and then analyze the result. © 2008 IEEE.

In this paper, we mainly discuss the relationship between the extended Pawlak flow graph (EFG) with granular computing (GrC), and develop a both simple and concrete model for EFG using GrC. The distinct advantage is that we can resort to merits of GrC to benefit us in analyzing and processing data using flow graph, for its structure is inherently consistent with GrC, which provides us with both structured thinking at the philosophical level and structured problem solving at the practical level. In pursuit of our purpose, at first, EFG will be mainly discussed in three aspects under GrC, namely, granulation of EFG, some relationships and operations of granules. Under the framework of GrC model, inference and reformation in EFG can be easily implemented in virtue of decomposition and composition of granules, respectively. Based on this scheme, two efficient reduction algorithms about EFG are also proposed. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

IEEE802.16, as a wireless MAN broadband access standard, defines a flexible QoS mechanism in MAC layer for wild variety classes of services. However, it dose not define specific admission control strategy and scheduling algorithm, which are becoming the research hotspot in recent years. In this paper, we focus on the features of services defined in IEEE802.16, including UGS, ertPS, rtPS, nrtPS and BE, and develop a new scheduling algorithm adapting these services. Finally, we validate the performance of the algorithm through a simulation experiment on NS2 platform. © 2008 IEEE.

Model-based diagnosis of discrete event systems is more and more active in artificial intelligence. In this paper, diagnosability analysis of discrete event systems is concerned, which is a very important step before on line diagnosing discrete event systems in general. Firstly, an extended hierarchical framework for definitions of diagnosability of discrete event systems is given, according to their inner restriction. Next, some formal comparisons among them are presented, thanks to which, we can further understand the relations between related definitions. Finally, some future work about diagnosability of discrete event systems is discussed as well.

WiMax (World Interoperability for Microwave Access) technology is the hotspot of wireless access technologies and attracts much attention. WiMax technology provides a wireless access method for users and do not constrained by physical position and cable restriction. A communication platform was designed under the protocol WiMax. The platform contains client (Vehicles) and server (Base stations). The platform contains 5 function modules including stimulating moving, position information transfer, sound communication, file transfer and routing selection. Building a mature communication platform is the most important precondition to improve the transfer efficiency in intelligent transport system. Intelligent transport system with the characteristic of low cost, less budget and high speed of transferring information is urgently needed by every city.

Hierarchy is a remedy way to reduce the demanding complexity of model-based diagnosis. In this paper, an approach to diagnosis of discrete-event systems in a hierarchical way is proposed, inspired by the concept "D-holon" and the concept "Silent Closure" presented in the literatures recently. Each extended silent closure can be seen as a special type of D-holons, called SCL-D-holon. Every hierarchical level is an SCL-D-holon built off line. When on line diagnosing a discrete-event system, only related SCL-D-holons will be called instead of all the SCL-D-holons generally, thus the space complexity is reduced. In comparison to on line creating silent closures, the efficiency is improved as well.
