Sintering proportion optimization plays a crucial role in determining the final product quality of sintered iron ore. However, the traditional approach of separating the optimization processes between the procurement and technical departments often fails to achieve the global optimum. In this paper, We propose a joint optimization approach for sintering proportioning based on digital twin (DT) technology. To tackle the complex constraints of this joint optimization problem, we develop a multiple improved whale optimization algorithm (MIWOA) that overcomes the issue of getting trapped in local optima. The proposed MIWOA incorporates three strategies, including a nonlinear convergence factor, Levy flight, and Gaussian mutation. Besides, the numerical simulations are conducted in order to analyze the influence of the convergence factors. Finally, various related approaches for sintering proportioning optimization are tested, and DT-based MIWOA achieved the best performance. © 2023 IEEE.

This article studies the fault detection filtering design problem for Roesser type two-dimensional(2-D)nonlinear systems described by uncertain 2-D Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)fuzzy ***,fuzzy Lyapunov functions are constructed and the 2-D Fourier transform is exploited,based on which a finite frequency fault detection filtering design method is proposed such that a residual signal is generated with robustness to external disturbances and sensitivity to *** has been shown that the utilization of available frequency spectrum information of faults and disturbances makes the proposed filtering design method more general and less conservative compared with a conventional nonfrequency based filtering design ***,with the proposed evaluation function and its threshold,a novel mixed finite frequency H_(∞)/H_(-)fault detection algorithm is developed,based on which the fault can be immediately detected once the evaluation function exceeds the ***,it is verified with simulation studies that the proposed method is effective and less conservative than conventional non-frequency and/or common Lyapunov function based filtering design methods.

Dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma actuators are widely used in active flow control due to their simple design and rapid ***,they need more effectiveness and discharge *** overcome these limitations,a sector-shaped dielectric barrier discharge(SS-DBD)plasma actuator with an adjustable jet angle was developed to enhance flow control *** flow field dynamics induced by the SS-DBD plasma actuator were quantitatively analyzed using particle image velocimetry(PIV).Experimental investigations showed that precise adjustments to the actuation voltage can modulate the maximum velocity of the induced ***,a quasi-linear relationship between the sector-shaped angles of the SS-DBD and the deflected jet angles was established,indicating that changes in the sector-shaped angles directly influence the direction of the deflected *** correlation enables precise control over jet angles,significantly enhancing flow control by adjusting the SS-DBD-PA's sector-shaped angle.

Reinforcement learning(RL) has roots in dynamic programming and it is called adaptive/approximate dynamic programming(ADP) within the control community. This paper reviews recent developments in ADP along with RL and its applications to various advanced control fields. First, the background of the development of ADP is described, emphasizing the significance of regulation and tracking control problems. Some effective offline and online algorithms for ADP/adaptive critic control are displayed, where the main results towards discrete-time systems and continuous-time systems are surveyed, ***, the research progress on adaptive critic control based on the event-triggered framework and under uncertain environment is discussed, respectively, where event-based design, robust stabilization, and game design are reviewed. Moreover, the extensions of ADP for addressing control problems under complex environment attract enormous attention. The ADP architecture is revisited under the perspective of data-driven and RL frameworks,showing how they promote ADP formulation ***, several typical control applications with respect to RL and ADP are summarized, particularly in the fields of wastewater treatment processes and power systems, followed by some general prospects for future research. Overall, the comprehensive survey on ADP and RL for advanced control applications has d emonstrated its remarkable potential within the artificial intelligence era. In addition, it also plays a vital role in promoting environmental protection and industrial intelligence.

In the complex optimization scenarios of real life, we often need to not only weigh the conflicts between multi-objectives but also face the challenges brought by large-scale decision variables. When the scale of decision variables increases sharply, the search space will expand exponentially, which makes it difficult for the algorithm to traverse the whole search space under limited resources, so that the number of local optimal solutions increases sharply. The so-called 'dimension disaster' appears. To effectively deal with this problem, this paper proposes a large-scale multi-objective brainstorm optimization algorithm (LMaOBSO) based on low complexity decision variable classification method and improved penalty boundary intersection strategy. The algorithm uses a low-complexity tree sorting variable classification method to divide the decision variables into converges and diversity variables quickly. At the same time, the convergent variables are optimized by the improved penalty boundary crossover strategy to solve the problems existing in large-scale optimization problems. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

GENERATIVE ADVERSARIAL NETWORKS FOR REMOTE SENSING IMAGE DEHAZING WITH COLOR FEATURE RESTORATION

Remote sensing images are often affected by atmospheric factors such as haze during the acquisition process, resulting in blurring and low contrast in the collected remote sensing images. This problem impacts the image quality, thereby affecting the analysis of remote sensing images. To mitigate the impact of haze on remote sensing images, a generative adversarial network is proposed. It comprises a generative network and an adversarial network. Firstly, a novel feature extraction module is designed to enhance the capability of extracting useful information from remote sensing images. It enables the network to focus more on regions with dense haze, allowing it to extract more important information while filtering out irrelevant details. Secondly, a residual attention module is designed which can allocate different weights based on varying haze density in the feature map. This module readjusts features outputted by the encoder, facilitating better image restoration. Thirdly, a multi-scale module is also incorporated to extract feature information across various image scales. Lastly, a color feature extraction module is designed to extract color features. The novel feature extraction module, residual attention module, multi-scale module, and color feature extraction module are utilized for constructing the generative network. Besides, an adversarial network is also designed to indirectly enhance the dehazing capability of the generative network. Synthetic and real datasets are used to test six different methods for dehazing remote sensing images, respectively. The proposed method achieves higher PSNR, SSIM, and lower MSE on the synthetic remote sensing dataset. On the other hand, it achieves lower PIQE, BRISQUE, and higher MetaIQA on the real remote sensing dataset. Improved control Strategies for Totem-Pole PFC With True Full Range ZVS Operation

Zero voltage switching (ZVS) of power semiconductor devices is an effective way to improve the efficiency and power density of the power electronic converters with extremely high switching frequency. This article aims to analyze and realize the true full-range ZVS operation of a totem-pole power factor correction circuit. The available ZVS control strategies are investigated, and the conditions for the realization of full-range ZVS operation are analyzed. It is revealed that the existed control strategies did not consider the influence of the dead-time, resulting in the failure of ZVS operation in some input voltage ranges. To address this issue, two feasible retrofitted control strategies, namely the turn-off current optimization control and the adaptive dead-time control, are proposed. The merits and drawbacks of the two control strategies are carefully analyzed and compared. It is found that the adaptive dead-time control can not only achieve the true full range ZVS but also significantly reduce the loss of the freewheeling diodes. The design consideration of key parameters is discussed. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed control and the correctness of the theoretical analyses are verified by simulation and experiment. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

Model-predictive control is emerging as an advanced control strategy for its feature that the state variables can be predicted according to the math model of the control system. In the PMSM drive application, conventional model-predictive control strategy induces current ripple due to the fact that the optimal voltage vector always acts on the system for the whole control period. In order to restrain the current ripple, the idea of duty cycle control is taken into MPC by inserting a zero vector into the optimal non-zero vector and regulating the duty cycle of non-zero vector. In this paper, the optimal duty cycle FSC-MPC strategy based on two different principles is investigated. Principle A is that the estimation is equal to the reference at the end of control cycle, and principle B is that the area under trace of the estimation is equal to that of reference. The calculation of duty based on the two different principles and the flow chart of the strategy are introduced in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the optimal duty cycle FSC-MPC is firstly verified by the simulation, and then verified by the experimental results, which is implemented on the PMSM driver of the DQ-1 satellite payload. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu. In the long-term operation of a megawatt-scale energy storage plant composed of series-parallel connections, the single batteries will have different degrees of inconsistency problems. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a comprehensive assessment method based on the consistency of batteries in scaled energy storage power stations. According to the consistency indexes such as single battery voltage and voltage polarity difference in series connection between modules, the consistency evaluation criterion of battery monomer was established. Based on the historical data of a battery energy storage system, the consistency evaluation criterion of a single battery is used to analyze the consistency of a single battery of an energy storage power station at different charging and discharging stages. The results show that this method can accurately assess cell consistency. It provides data support for the health status assessment of energy storage plants and reduces the systematic operational risk of energy storage plants. © 2024 IEEE.
