Hybrid dwell-time-based H∞ control of switched nonlinear systems and its application to switched neural networks

The hybrid dwell-time-based H∞ control problem of switched nonlinear systems without internal stability requirements is investigated in this paper. Under the hybrid mode-dependent dwell time (HMDT), a set of mode-dependent time-scheduled controllers (TSCs) are proposed here. Meanwhile, switched neural networks (SNNs) as typical switched nonlinear systems are further introduced to refine the theoretical derivation, and time-varying switching-signal-based multiple discontinuous Lyapunov functions (TSMDLFs) are constructed to ensure the exponential stability with the l2-gain condition of the SNNs. Finally, examples of practical applications are presented to demonstrate the validity of our theoretical results. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Depth-aware Fusion Method based on Image and 4D Radar Spectrum for 3D Object Detection

Safety and reliability are crucial for the public acceptance of autonomous driving. To ensure accurate and reliable environmental perception, intelligent vehicles must exhibit accuracy and robustness in various environments. Millimeter-wave radar, known for its high penetration capability, can operate effectively in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, and fog. Traditional 3D millimeter-wave radars can only provide range, Doppler, and azimuth information for objects. Although the recent emergence of 4D millimeter-wave radars has added elevation resolution, the radar point clouds remain sparse due to Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) operations. In contrast, cameras offer rich semantic details but are sensitive to lighting and weather conditions. Hence, this paper leverages these two highly complementary and cost-effective sensors, 4D millimeter-wave radar and camera. By integrating 4D radar spectra with depth-aware camera images and employing attention mechanisms, we fuse texture-rich images with depth-rich radar data in the Bird’s Eye View (BEV) perspective, enhancing 3D object detection. Additionally, we propose using GAN-based networks to generate depth images from radar spectra in the absence of depth sensors, further improving detection accuracy. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. Learning with Open-world Noisy Data via Class-independent Margin in Dual Representation Space

Learning with Noisy Labels (LNL) aims to improve the model generalization when facing data with noisy labels, and existing methods generally assume that noisy labels come from known classes, called closed-set noise. However, in real-world scenarios, noisy labels from similar unknown classes, i.e., open-set noise, may occur during the training and inference stage. Such open-world noisy labels may significantly impact the performance of LNL methods. In this study, we propose a novel dual-space joint learning method to robustly handle the open-world noise. To mitigate model overfitting on closed-set and open-set noises, a dual representation space is constructed by two networks. One is a projection network that learns shared representations in the prototype space, while the other is a One-Vs-All (OVA) network that makes predictions using unique semantic representations in the class-independent space. Then, bi-level contrastive learning and consistency regularization are introduced in two spaces to enhance the detection capability for data with unknown classes. To benefit from the memorization effects across different types of samples, class-independent margin criteria are designed for sample identification, which selects clean samples, weights closed-set noise, and filters open-set noise effectively. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods and achieves an average accuracy improvement of 4.55% and an AUROC improvement of 6.17% on CIFAR80N. In the domain of facial recognition security, multimodal Face Anti-Spoofing (FAS) is essential for countering presentation attacks. However, existing technologies encounter challenges due to modality biases and imbalances, as well as domain shifts. Our research introduces a Mixture of Experts (MoE) model to address these issues effectively. We identified three limitations in traditional MoE approaches to multimodal FAS: (1) Coarse-grained experts’ inability to capture nuanced spoofing indicators; (2) Gated networks’ susceptibility to input noise affecting decision-making; (3) MoE’s sensitivity to prompt tokens leading to overfitting with conventional learning methods. To mitigate these, we propose the Bypass Isolated Gating MoE (BIG-MoE) framework, featuring: (1) Fine-grained experts for enhanced detection of subtle spoofing cues; (2) An isolation gating mechanism to counteract input noise; (3) A novel differential convolutional prompt bypass enriching the gating network with critical local features, thereby improving perceptual capabilities. Extensive experiments on four benchmark datasets demonstrate significant generalization performance improvement in multimodal FAS task. The code is released at https://***/murInJ/BIG-MoE.

Unleashing Correlation and Continuity for Hyperspectral Reconstruction from RGB Images

Reconstructing Hyperspectral Images (HSI) from RGB images can yield high spatial resolution HSI at a lower cost, demonstrating significant application potential. This paper reveals that local correlation and global continuity of the spectral characteristics are crucial for HSI reconstruction tasks. Therefore, we fully explore these inter-spectral relationships and propose a Correlation and Continuity Network (CCNet) for HSI reconstruction from RGB images. For the correlation of local spectrum, we introduce the Group-wise Spectral Correlation Modeling (GrSCM) module, which efficiently establishes spectral band similarity within a localized range. For the continuity of global spectrum, we design the Neighborhood-wise Spectral Continuity Modeling (NeSCM) module, which employs memory units to recursively model the progressive variation characteristics at the global level. In order to explore the inherent complementarity of these two modules, we design the Patch-wise Adaptive Fusion (PAF) module to efficiently integrate global continuity features into the spectral features in a patch-wise adaptive manner. These innovations enhance the quality of reconstructed HSI. We perform comprehensive comparison and ablation experiments on the mainstream datasets NTIRE2022 and NTIRE2020 for the spectral reconstruction task. Knowledge Hypergraph Link Prediction Based on GAT and Convolutional Neural Network

Knowledge hypergraph (KHG) is a hypergraph structured knowledge graph. Knowledge hypergraph link prediction is based on known entities and relationships to predict missing entities or relationships, which is of great significance and value. However, the existing neural network-based methods of knowledge hypergraph link prediction only focus on the semantic features localized to the relationship facts and lack the representation learning of the association features between the relationship facts. To address the above problems, a knowledge hypergraph link prediction method based on graph attention network and convolutional neural network (HPGC) is proposed. On the one hand, an improved convolutional network is used to extract local features of node entity representations in the knowledge hypergraph;on the other hand, an improved GAT is used for attention modeling of nodes and relations, capturing global feature relations between nodes and merging them, so as to obtain a more comprehensive neighborhood structure of the relation facts, and to enrich the semantic representations of the relation facts in the hypergraph. In addition, to address the GAT layer output vector problem of HPGC, which introduces a multilayer perceptron (MLP) and regularization techniques to enhance the generalization ability of model training. This paper examines the potential for leveraging the order dispatch algorithm in the commercial domain to enhance the intelligent allocation of military combat tasks, thereby improving the speed and accuracy of command decision-making in the context of intelligent warfare. The study proposes an "order-based" command and control model, which aims to overcome the efficiency bottleneck and information lag problem in traditional combat task allocation. The algorithmic design incorporates multi-dimensional association rules and similarity matching algorithms to guarantee the optimal matching of combat tasks and resources, thereby achieving the objectives of rapid response, efficient resource utilization, and enhanced combat effectiveness. This paper focuses on the challenges and advantages of this model in the context of naval warfare. It highlights the strategic value of order-based command and control in non-direct confrontation missions, such as reconnaissance, patrol, and intelligence gathering. The utilization of the "combat cloud," artificial intelligence, and a highly integrated command network enables the precise allocation of resources and the rapid execution of tasks. This, in turn, enhances the ISR capability, network-centered warfare effectiveness, and cross-domain synergistic warfare capability in naval warfare. The study also delineates the specific implementation process of the algorithm, which includes multi-dimensional association rule mining and similarity matching based on historical cases, with the objective of generating optimal combat scenarios and ensuring the effective execution of task orders. © 2025 SPIE.

Omnidirectional image quality assessment (OIQA) has become an increasingly vital problem in recent years. Most previous blind OIQA methods only extract local features from the distorted viewports, or extract global features from the entire distorted image, lacking the interaction and fusion between local and global features. Moreover, the lack of reference information also limits their performance. Thus, we propose a blind OIQA model which consists of three novel modules, including a bidirectional pseudo-reference module, a Mamba-based global feature extraction module, and a multi-scale local-global feature aggregation module. Specifically, by considering the image distortion degradation process, a bidirectional pseudo-reference module capturing the error maps on viewports is first constructed to refine the multi-scale local visual features, which can supply rich quality degradation reference information without the reference image. To well complement the local features, the VMamba module is adopted to extract the representative multi-scale global visual features. Inspired by human hierarchical visual perception characteristics, a novel multi-scale aggregation module is built to strengthen the feature interaction and effective fusion which can extract deep semantic information. Finally, motivated by the multi-task managing mechanism of human brain, a multi-task learning module is introduced to assist the main quality assessment task by digging the hidden information in compression type and distortion degree. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method achieves the state-of-the-art performance on the blind OIQA task compared to other models. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

The detection of fake news is not confined to a single domain, and due to domain transfer, the reliance on detection methods specific to a single domain becomes inadequate when dealing with multi-domain issues. When a multi-domain detection occurs, labels from one domain focus exclusively on the news characteristics of that particular domain, ignoring the possibility that part of the news may include functions from more than one domain. To address these challenges, we propose a multi-domain fake news detection model based on fuzzy rules, incorporating a fuzzy mechanism and an optimization module for fuzzy association rules. In this model, we first introduce a fuzzy mechanism that applies fuzzy processing to domains through neural networks, constructing fuzzy domain labels for each news domain. Subsequently, we incorporate fuzzy association rules to extract a broader range of sample features, thereby enhancing detection effectiveness. Experiments conducted on a fake news dataset demonstrate that our model achieves commendable detection performance with a relatively low training cost, reaching an F1 score of over 97.13% for sample detection. This model successfully overcomes the limitations of single-domain detection in fake news identification and improves the precision of feature extraction through fuzzy rules, showing superior performance in handling multi-domain fake news detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

A prediction method of distributed photovoltaic accommodation capability is proposed based on ridge regression. First, the factors influencing the distributed photovoltaic accommodation capacity are analyzed, and the concept of the contribution degree of distributed photovoltaic accommodation is introduced. The gray relation analysis method is used to evaluate the correlation between different factors and distributed photovoltaic accommodation, and a model of factors affecting distributed photovoltaic accommodation is constructed. Then, a prediction model of distributed photovoltaic accommodation capability is established based on ridge regression. The factors with high photovoltaic accommodation contribution degrees are incorporated in the prediction model. The mapping relationship between the driving factors of distributed photovoltaic accommodation and the prediction model is derived, then the development strategies for future photovoltaic accommodation capacity are formulated. Finally, simulation is performed on the SPSSPRO platform, and the results show that the proposed method can predict the distributed photovoltaic accommodation capability accurately and provide strategic suggestions for improving future photovoltaic accommodation capacity. © State Grid Electric Power 2025.
