As an emerging technology, blockchain has enabled trustworthy data sharing and efficient cooperation in many industries. It can also make data traceable and auditable, which perfectly meets the regulatory demands for data security and privacy. However, the employment of blockchain is limited in some fields due to the poor scalability of the consensus mechanism. Therefore, this paper introduces a scalable consensus mechanism called RPBFT to improve the performance of large-scale systems. To demonstrate the advantage of RPBFT over classic consensus mechanism, we find a way to implement it in blockchain systems and conduct performance tests to evaluate the throughput and latency of the established systems. The results show that RPBFT is superior and more suitable for large-scale blockchain systems. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

In view of the sharp increase in the amount of data in intelligent substations at present, the gap between the data transmission mode and the data storage mode is large, resulting in the problem of low data storage efficiency. This paper presents a data storage method of intelligent substation based on physical model. Firstly, this paper analyzes the data transmission mode of IEC 61850, introduces the object-oriented modeling technology of IEC 61850, the relationship between various configuration files, and the tree structure of the transmitted data. Then, this paper introduces the concept, structure and characteristics of the physical model. Build a physical model of the device based on the CID (Configured IED Description) file of the device, and form a device self-describing JSON file. After then, according to the characteristics of each service in the physical model, this paper uses different types of databases to store the data under this service. Finally, this paper develops and applies the method, and completes the back-to-back data storage model of a substation equipment. The experimental results show that the functional requirements and performance indicators of the developed substation data storage method can achieve the desired goals and effectively improve the efficiency of data storage.

The establishment of carbon allowances and carbon market has changed the competitiveness of thermal-generating units in the energy market and produced carbon cost passing through to electricity prices. With the increase in the proportion of renewable energy connected to the grid, thermal units have a strong performance in the ancillary service market due to their good regulation characteristics. For this situation, this paper establishes the carbon cost pass-through rate calculation model based on simulating energy market transactions which used the energy-reserve joint optimization model to consider the participation of thermal units in the energy market and reserve market under the condition of a high proportion of renewable energy connected to the grid. A 10-unit system is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the improved carbon cost pass-through analysis, and analyze the impact of changes in wind power integration on carbon cost pass-through.

A proposed obstacle avoidance trajectory planning method for autonomous vehicles considers social behavior characteristics to address the interaction problem with human drivers in mixed traffic environments. The method integrates graph theory and centrality functions to classify and predict driver behavior, employing model predictive control (MPC) to plan the autonomous vehicle's trajectory. By combining these social behaviors, the method ensures safe completion of the driving task based on probability. Experimental results from an interactive obstacle avoidance scenario in a curved environment confirm the successful completion of the task, validating the proposed method's feasibility and effectiveness, supporting its potential for real-world application. © 2023 IEEE.

As more distributed energy sources integrate into distribution networks, issues such as voltage fluctuations and reduced observability become increasingly prominent. Therefore, this paper proposes an algorithm for forecasting-aided state estimation (FASE) in virtual power plants' integrated operation management platform. Firstly, a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM)-Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) algorithm for distribution network FASE is introduced. Secondly, the integrated management of virtual power plant platforms (IM-VPPP) enhances the observability of distribution networks. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, simulations are conducted using the IEEE 33-bus standard distribution system. Results demonstrate significant advantages of the algorithm in terms of accuracy and robustness.

Model-predictive control is emerging as an advanced control strategy for its feature that the state variables can be predicted according to the math model of the control system. In the PMSM drive application, conventional model-predictive control strategy induces current ripple due to the fact that the optimal voltage vector always acts on the system for the whole control period. In order to restrain the current ripple, the idea of duty cycle control is taken into MPC by inserting a zero vector into the optimal non-zero vector and regulating the duty cycle of non-zero vector. In this paper, the optimal duty cycle FSC-MPC strategy based on two different principles is investigated. Principle A is that the estimation is equal to the reference at the end of control cycle, and principle B is that the area under trace of the estimation is equal to that of reference. The calculation of duty based on the two different principles and the flow chart of the strategy are introduced in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the optimal duty cycle FSC-MPC is firstly verified by the simulation, and then verified by the experimental results, which is implemented on the PMSM driver of the DQ-1 satellite payload. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu. To ensure the secure and reliable operation of active distribution systems (ADSs), it is essential to efficiently and accurately identify their time-varying topology. This paper proposes an estimation-based topology identification (TI) method for ADSs considering topology changes. The TI problem is formulated by a forecasting-aided estimation model, which is depicted by a discrete-time switching state-space model. The topology change process is described by a Bayesian nonparametric model that allows TI with limited knowledge of topology libraries. Then the Gaussian mixture ensemble Kalman filter (GM-EnKF) is employed to carry out the TI, where the underlying probability density is approximated by using Gaussian mixture model. In this case, the proposed method become capable of handling the unavoidable non-Gaussian noises in realistic distribution systems. Test results on various ADSs validates the effectiveness of the proposed GM-EnKF-based TI method on accurate and efficient topology identification.

To improve the adaptability for renewable energy sources (RES), a multitime scale optimal dispatch method, which considers the multiple correlations of RES, is proposed in the active distribution network (ADN). The proposed method includes a multiple correlation model of RES and a scheduling framework. The multiple correlation model of RES is formulated by t Copula function, Sklar's theorem, and conditional distribution of multivariate t distribution. The multiple correlation model can estimate the forecast error of the future period according to the historical data and the latest prediction. The scheduling framework further employs the revised forecast to coordinate the fast/slow-response regulation resources in the ADN under three timescales. In the day-Ahead stage, the operation state of slow-response resources is optimized and determined. In the intraday stage, the output of the fast-response resource, which is transferred to the real-Time stage as reference trajectory, is optimized based on the short-Term prediction. In the real-Time stage, the stochastic model predictive control is adopted to adjust the output of fast-response resources based on ultra-short-Term prediction and reference trajectory. Case analyses indicate that the proposed method can effectively reduce the voltage fluctuation, promote the utilization of demand-side resources, and improve the system economic performance by introducing the multiple correlation model. © 1972-2012 IEEE.
