In the complex optimization scenarios of real life, we often need to not only weigh the conflicts between multi-objectives but also face the challenges brought by large-scale decision variables. When the scale of decision variables increases sharply, the search space will expand exponentially, which makes it difficult for the algorithm to traverse the whole search space under limited resources, so that the number of local optimal solutions increases sharply. The so-called 'dimension disaster' appears. To effectively deal with this problem, this paper proposes a large-scale multi-objective brainstorm optimization algorithm (LMaOBSO) based on low complexity decision variable classification method and improved penalty boundary intersection strategy. The algorithm uses a low-complexity tree sorting variable classification method to divide the decision variables into converges and diversity variables quickly. At the same time, the convergent variables are optimized by the improved penalty boundary crossover strategy to solve the problems existing in large-scale optimization problems. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study proposes a target extraction algorithm for array GM-APD lidar based on hybrid domain features, designed to address the challenges of accurately extracting target region based on the image in complex scenes and high noise interference. We extracted the temporal features of the echo signals and transformed the echo signals into the image domain to enhance the information content and further extract image features. By integrating multi-view K-means clustering and AdaBoost classification methods, we introduced a dynamic weight adjustment mechanism and a region adjustment method based on a correlation coefficient to achieve pixel-type discrimination and target region extraction. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits good robustness and adaptability in complex detection environments. Under conditions of different occlusion, different signal-to-noise ratios, and different target reflectivity, the proposed algorithm significantly outperforms traditional region-growing segmentation methods in terms of accuracy of target region extraction. © 2025 SPIE.

After the fault occurs on the transmission line of the wind farm, under the current limiting control of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) converter, the short-circuit current on the farm side presents the characteristics of limited amplitude, frequency offset, and phase angle distortion, which will reduce the performance of the traditional pilot protection. In addition, considering the short-circuit current of the grid side is mainly generated by the synchronous generators and appears as the attenuated power frequency sinusoidal characteristic, the short-circuit currents on both sides of the transmission line show a significant difference in waveform shape. Therefore, a pilot protection based on the maximum mean discrepancy is proposed by using the waveform difference of the short-circuit current. Extensive simulation results show that the proposed pilot protection in this paper has fast operation speed and high sensitivity, and it can still operate reliably under the influence of interference factors such as fault resistance. © 2023 IEEE.

When regional power grid is asynchronized by high voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, the division of frequency regulation resources and reserve capacity weakens the system's ability to resist load fluctuation and fault disturbance. With the continuous promotion of electricity market construction in China, the demand of building a unified frequency regulation auxiliary market for the whole power grid is increasingly frequent. In this paper, with the objectives of improving the overall frequency regulation performance of asynchronous interconnected systems and refers to the power transmission characteristics of AC transmission lines. The additional frequency synchronous control (AFSC) strategy of back-to-back HVDC was studied, which enables back-to-back HVDC to automatically adjust the transmission power based on the frequency difference on both sides. Then, taking Luxi back-to-back HVDC of China Southern Power Grid (CSG) as an example, the specific implementation of AFSC strategy is studied, and the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by real-time simulation. Finally, the on-site practical application of this strategy was analyzed. © 2023 IEEE.

With the improvement of the informatization of the power system, the risk of cyber attack is also increasing. This paper proposes a risk assessment and prevention strategy for cyber attack against substations. Firstly, the cyber attack against substations are modeled based on the game theory of dynamic attack and defense. Secondly, an improved OPA (ORNL-PSERC-Alaska) model is utilized to analyze the cascade failure after cyber attacks and quantify the load loss of power system. Finally, a preventive strategy which can mitigate the expectation load loss caused by cyber attack against substations is put forward. Simulation experiments were conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

The DC/DC converter in the DC microgrid is the core device that supports the efficient grid connection of power electronic drive devices such as new energy generation units and energy storage devices. In view of this, this paper proposes a nonlinear optimal control method for DC/DC converters based on differential geometry theory, aiming at the nonlinear characteristics of the mathematical model of the converter. First, the topology structure of the DC microgrid is analyzed, and the mathematical model of the DC/DC converter is established;Secondly, the basic principle of power system nonlinear control based on differential geometry theory is discussed, and the nonlinear optimal controller for DC/DC converter is designed based on the accurate linearization method in differential geometry theory to quickly suppress power disturbance and realize the efficient grid connection application of power electronic drive equipment. Finally, the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed nonlinear optimal method were verified based on MATLAB/simulink. © 2023 IEEE.

Multipath planning aims to find multiple optimal paths simultaneously, and its essence is a multimodal optimization problem. In recent years, swarm intelligence (SI) optimization algorithms have provided effective solutions for multimodal optimization. In this paper, the multimodal optimization slime mold algorithm (MOSMA) based on master-slave structure and local search strategy (LS) is proposed to solve multipath planning problems in small cultural complex. Firstly, a local search strategy is introduced to eliminate the influence of the 'centerbias' operator and improve the quality of solutions. Secondly, the master-salves structure is introduced to preserve the diversity of the population and enable it to simultaneously locate multiple solutions. Finally, the performance of MOSMA is analyzed on several multimodal functions, and an example of path planning in a small cultural complex is given. © 2024 IEEE.

Analyzing the timbre characteristics of different singing genres is an important issue in the field of singing acoustics. Formants are an important characteristic parameter for timbre perception, but classical acoustic formant extraction methods lack accuracy and applicability in the analysis of singing genres. In order to solve the problem of insufficient accuracy and applicability of singing formants in singing genre analysis, this paper proposes a singing formant extraction method based on peak fitting. The paper summarizes the theory and methods of extracting vocal formants and based on a large amount of experimental data analysis, proposes a vocal formant feature extraction method based on peak fitting;The effectiveness of the singing formant extraction method based on peak fitting was verified through comparative experiments with existing formant algorithms. This article provides new research ideas and methods for extracting acoustic features in singing. © 2024 IEEE.

Building a renewable power system with renewable energy as the main part can give full play to the regulatory capacity of sources, network, loads, storage and other types of controllable resources. It is the key to promoting clean energy transformation and achieving the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization, and has become a research hotspot in the energy field. In this paper, a coordinated optimization method for source load storage in renewable power system considering overcharge/overdischarge cost of stored energy is proposed. Two State of Charge (SOC) thresholds for the energy storage are set, when the SOC exceeds the corresponding threshold, the cost of overcharge/overdischarge penalty is added respectively to effectively balance the security and regulation capability of energy storage;Then, set the wind/light abandonment cost and the demand response cost of adjustable load, to coordinate the output of source, load and energy storage, to improve the regulation capacity of the renewable power system. Finally, the correctness and rationality of the method proposed in this paper are effectively verified. © 2023 IEEE.
