Wind power generations have received widespread concern recently, however, due to the continuity of time series, ordinary machine learning models cannot learn the dependencies of continuous time series data well. To better predict the time series and improve the prediction effect of wind power, a shortterm wind power prediction method based on K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN) and Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit(BiGRU) is proposed. Firstly, KNN is used to detect outliers in the wind speed-power sequence in the field collected data, and then the wind speed value of all abnormal data is modified to the mean value of wind speed. Then the modified data is input to the bidirectional gated recurrent unit for prediction. The bidirectional gated recurrent unit can efficiently learn the context information of the data and improve the prediction effect. The experimental results show that the proposed prediction method based on KNN-BiGRU obtains a good prediction effect on a single unit. Compared with other methods, it has the best prediction effect on multi-unit where the accuracy rate is 8 4. 3 0 4 %. © 2024 IEEE.

Data centers,the engines of the global Internet,rely on powerful high-speed optical *** optical fiber communication,classic direct detection captures only the intensity of the optical field,while the coherent detection counterpart utilizes both phase and polarization diversities at the expense of requiring a narrow-linewidth and high-stability local oscillator(LO).Herein,we propose and demonstrate a four-dimensional Jones-space optical field recovery(4-D JSFR)scheme without an *** polarization-diverse full-field receiver structure captures information encoded in the intensity and phase of both polarizations,which can be subsequently extracted *** our knowledge,our proposed receiver achieves the highest electrical spectral efficiency among existing direct detection systems and potentially provides similar electrical spectral efficiency as standard intradyne coherent detection *** fully recovered optical field extends the transmission distance beyond the limitations imposed by fiber chromatic ***,the LO-free advantage makes 4-D JSFR suitable for photonic integration,offering a spectrally efficient and cost-effective solution for massively parallel data center *** results may contribute to the ongoing developments in the theory of optical field recovery and the potential design considerations for future high-speed optical transceivers.

This paper mainly solves the containment control issue for a network of infinite-dimensional agents described by wave equations. To eliminate influences caused by external disturbances, observers based on partial differential equations are proposed. A novel interaction protocol is then designed to reach containment control under a fixed directed communication topology. Different from the existing works, disturbances with unbounded derivatives are allowed in this paper. A proper Lyapunov function is constructed and the sufficient condition assuring containment control is obtained. Finally, the theoretical results are verified via numerical examples. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

A multi-level feature weighted fusion based image classification method for silicon single crystal growth process has been proposed to address the issue of the long silicon single crystal pulling times at industrial sites, which prevents timely understanding of the crystal growth process. A multi-level feature weighted fusion method was employed to identify and classify the growth process of silicon single crystals. A Czochralski single crystal silicon growth process recognition system was then designed. A comparison of the experimental results obtained from this design with the traditional single image classification method clearly showed that using different levels of silicon single crystal image information simultaneously effectively improved the accuracy of silicon single crystal growth image classification. © 2024 SPIE.

Few-mode multi-core fiber is a space-division multiplexing backup solution to address the communication capacity crunch which is limited by the capacity of single-mode fiber. In this paper, we propose a weakly coupled 19-core 5-mode-group trench-assisted ring-core fiber with ultra-high spatial channel number, which can support up to 380 usable spatial mode channels (19 cores × 5 radial first-order OAM mode groups × 4 degenerate modes). To our knowledge, this is the highest channel count reported for few-mode multi-core fibers. The fiber can stably transmit 5 OAM mode groups in the C+L band. The minimum effective index difference between adjacent radial first-order mode groups is 1.35 × 10-3. With limited cladding diameter, when the core pitch is 44 µm, the inter-core crosstalk for the high-order OAM5,1 mode can reach -60.13 dB/100km. © 2024 IEEE.

Semi-supervised learning (SSL) is a successful paradigm that can use unlabelled data to alleviate the labelling cost problem in supervised learning. However, the excellent performance brought by SSL does not transfer well to the task of class imbalance. The reason is that the class bias of pseudo-labelling further misleads the decision boundary. To solve this problem, we propose a new plug-and-play approach to handle the class imbalance problem based on a theoretical extension and analysis of distribution alignment. The method, called Basis Transformation Based Distribution Alignment (BTDA), efficiently aligns class distributions while taking into account inter-class *** implements the basis transformation through a learnable transfer matrix, thereby reducing the performance loss caused by pseudo-labelling biases. Extensive experiments show that our proposed BTDA approach can significantly improve performance in class imbalance tasks in terms of both accuracy and recall metrics when integrated with advanced SSL algorithms. Although the idea of BTDA is not complex, it can show advanced performance on datasets such as CIFAR and SVHN. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

With the rapid development of smart manufacturing, existing microservice deployment strategies based on the TCP protocol tend to encounter problems such as network latency, excessive header length, and port exhaustion in high concurrency scenarios. MQTT Broker can relay data between microservices, effectively alleviating these issues. However, the communication overhead of the Broker is significantly related to its deployment and the dependency of microservices. An appropriate deployment solution can significantly improve service quality. To address this issue, this paper models the deployment of MQTT Broker and microservices as a graph with cycles. By introducing auxiliary variables, the NP-hard problem is transformed into a mixed-integer quadratic programming problem, improving problem-solving efficiency and optimizing the microservices deployment strategy to reduce communication overhead. Meanwhile, a real-world heterogeneous cluster was constructed to experiment on fault detection applications, elaborating on the superiority of the microservice deployment strategy designed in this paper. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach reduces communication overhead by 20% in comparison to both the greedy strategy and the K8s strategy. This suggests that achieving an optimal balance between the number of Brokers and microservices is vital for ensuring efficient resource utilization and maintaining low communication latency, particularly as the scale of services expands. © 2024 IEEE.

The joint design of control and transmission has been demonstrated to be a successful technique for enhancing the performance of industrial cyber-physical systems (ICPS). In the majority of existing works, the control cost and the transmission cost are defined independently, followed by a weighted total calculation. This approach suffers from a dimension consistency issue, leading the results to diverge from the system's actual optimal performance. Hence, it is necessary to consider the overall information of the loop and characterize the coupling relationship between control and transmission to construct the overall system performance function. This paper proposes a full loop age of information (FL-AoI) based control and transmission joint design architecture for multi-subsystem ICPS integrating multi-hop network. The state delay, input delay, and event trigger are all taken into consideration by FL-AoI to more fully portray the freshness of the information. We provide a novel control performance based on FL-AoI where the network characteristics are incorporated into the control cost, which could tackle the dimensionality mismatch brought by the form of weighted summation of the control and transmission cost. We also provide the FL-AoI-based strategy for the controller and event-triggering mechanism and derive the cost's boundary. The evaluation results demonstrate that, in comparison to the conventional joint design strategy, our solution increases the stability of the control system while decreasing the network burden. © 2023 IEEE.

This article presents a highly efficient method for substrate-integrated-waveguide（SIW） filters to achieve very wide stopbands. By employing the proposed trisection slots in addition to the bisection slots as the inter-coupling structures, all spurious modes below TE505 of a SIW filter working in the fundamental mode TE101（f0）can be eliminated without requiring additional structure or complex theoretical analysis, without affecting the design of the fundamental passbands, and without degrading the performance of the filters. For verification, two prototype filters are designed, fabricated, and measured with wide stopbands up to 4.15f0 and 4.83f0, respectively. The proposed technique could facilitate the development of high-performance wide-stopband SIW filters for microwave/wireless circuits and systems.

With data flow controlled by handshake templates, asynchronous circuits have the potential for low power consumption and high performance. However, the control of the handshake signal introduces additional hardware overhead. We utilize latch to further reduce the power consumption, then propose an efficient design methodology for a latch-based asynchronous pipeline and timing constraints method with conventional EDA tools. An asynchronous RISC-V processor was designed and thoroughly compared with its synchronous counterpart and the popular RISC-V cores to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. Experimental results demonstrate a 3.5% area optimization and a 14.9% reduction in power consumption compared with the synchronous counterpart. © 2023 IEEE.
