The article examines issues of ecological safety of drinking water. The Jeyranbatan reservoir, which supplies drinking water to the cities of Baku and Sumgayit, was selected as an object. The anthropogenic and natural factors that may affect the Jeyranbatan reservoir are analyzed. On the basis of geoinformationsystems, a complex multilevel structure of an environmental monitoring system of the reservoir is proposed. As a mathematical apparatus, the monitoring measurements are considered as time series. To build a unified system based on the monitored parameters, subbases are formed to facilitate the processing of various indicators, a functional is constructed, and a comparative analysis of the obtained results is given.
