Metal artifacts in computed tomography (CT) imaging pose significant challenges to accurate clinical diagnosis. The presence of high-density metallic implants results in artifacts that deteriorate image quality, manifesting in the forms of streaking, blurring, or beam hardening effects, etc. Nowadays, various deep learning-based approaches, particularly generative models, have been proposed for metal artifact reduction (MAR). However, these methods have limited perception ability in the diverse morphologies of different metal implants with artifacts, which may generate spurious anatomical structures and exhibit inferior generalization capability. To address the issues, we leverage visual-language model (VLM) to identify these morphological features and introduce them into a dual-domain CLIP-assisted residual optimization perception model (DuDoCROP) for MAR. Specifically, a dual-domain CLIP (DuDoCLIP) is fine-tuned on the image domain and sinogram domain using contrastive learning to extract semantic descriptions from anatomical structures and metal artifacts. Subsequently, a diffusion model is guided by the embeddings of DuDoCLIP, thereby enabling the dual-domain prior generation. Additionally, we design prompt engineering for more precise image-text descriptions that can enhance the model’s perception capability. Then, a downstream task is devised for the one-step residual optimization and integration of dual-domain priors, while incorporating raw data fidelity. Ultimately, a new perceptual indicator is proposed to validate the model’s perception and generation performance. With the assistance of DuDoCLIP, our DuDoCROP exhibits at least 63.7% higher generalization capability compared to the baseline model. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can generate more realistic image structures and outperform other SOTA approaches both qualitatively and quantitatively. In the evolving field of Continuous Variable Quantum key Distribution (CV-QKD), notable for its synergistic potential with existing optical communication infrastructures, a high channel capacity, and an anticipated surge in secret rates, the Measurement Device Independent (MDI) framework stands as a bulwark against side-channel vulnerabilities at the measurement juncture [1] -[4]. Recent years have witnessed quantum photonics technology leapfrogging into a realm that promises the realization of fully integrated CV-MDI-QKD transmitter terminals, a cornerstone for large-scale CV-MDI-QKD networks. However, integrating high-efficiency on-chip light sources while effectively navigating the treacherous waters of practical security challenges remains a formidable task [5], [6]. This study is pioneering in its focus on the practical security intricacies stemming from imperfections in on-chip light sources within CV-MDI-QKD systems. We propose defense mechanisms tailored to shield against the risks associated with source defects, thereby laying a robust foundation for secure, reliable on-chip CV-MDI-QKD transmission terminals. This advancement is a critical enabler for the widespread adoption of CV-MDI-QKD, signaling a paradigm shift in secure communications. © 2024 IEEE.

With the advancement of industrial intelligence, the Industrial Internet has been widely used in energy, manufacturing and other important industries. In recent years, security incidents have occurred frequently in industrial control network, which means that maintaining industrial control network security has become more and more important. Intrusion detection technology can actively detect abnormal behavior in the network, and is an important means to ensure the security of industrial control networks. Presently, the intrusion detection technology of industrial control network has problems such as extreme imbalance of classes and redundant interference of traffic characteristics. This paper analyzes these problems and clarifies the existing solutions for different problems in principle. © 2022 IEEE.

An optical scrambler using a whispering-gallery-mode[WGM]micro-bottle cavity to scramble a complex optical signal to generate an uncorrelated output is *** experimentally demonstrated this micro-cavity scrambler by using chaotic laser light as the incident signal and studied the influence of the coupling *** achieved full scrambling with a low cross correlation of 0.028 between the output and the *** indicate that the scrambling effect originates from the interference among numerous WGMs in the bottle *** is believed that the micro-bottle cavity with an efficient scrambling function can become a promising candidate for encryption.

A terahertz refractive index sensor constructed with graphene metamaterial absorber has been proposed. The sensor features a patterned graphene structure, consisting of an independent circular ring and a special structure formed by intersecting cross and square patterns. Under normal incidence of TM and TE polarized light, the sensor exhibits a low-frequency peak at 1.55 THz with maximum absorption rates of $\mathbf{9 9. 4 5 \%}$ and a high-frequency peak at 3.83 THz with maximum absorption rates of $\mathbf{9 9. 5 0 \%}$. The quality factors (Q factor) of the two peaks are 31 and 65, respectively. Unlike traditional metal sensors, the absorption peaks of this sensor can achieve dynamic tunability through adjusting the graphene’s Fermi level. By varying the analyte’s thickness and refractive index, the maximum sensitivity of the two absorption peaks can reach $495 \mathrm{GHz} / \mathrm{RIU}$ and 895 $\mathrm{GHz} /$ RIU. The corresponding figures of merit (FOM) are 9.9 and 15.2, respectively. The sensor proposed here are applied to detect hemoglobin biomolecule content and has shown excellent sensing performance in our simulations. Therefore, the present work has broad potential for applications in biomedical and medical diagnostic fields.

Unmanned aerial vehicle assisted (UAV-assisted) wireless communication network is a promising paradigm of wireless communication network. In this paper, we apply the evolutionary game to the UAV selection process of ground user equipment (UE). Specifically, we first establish a UAV-assisted uplink wireless communication model, and then we use replicator dynamics to describe the process of evolution game. Finally, we propose a dynamic UAV selection algorithm based on evolutionary game with low computation complexity. The numerical results prove the effectiveness of our developed algorithm in UAV-assisted wireless communication network. © 2023 IEEE.

Bound states in the continuum(BIC)have been widely researched and applied in optics due to their unique electromagnetic ***,there are still difficulties in predicting and customizing BIC *** address this issue,we design an efficient combined neural network for highly accurate prediction of quasi-bound states in the continuum(q-BIC)spectrum,as well as for the inverse design of the polarization independent enhancement of the Goos-H?nchen(GH)***,we propose a C_(4)symmetric metasurface for achieving q-BIC spectrum and providing the condition of enhanced GH *** employing a combined neural network,the intensity,position,shape,and phase of q-BIC spectrum with ultra-narrow resonance can be accurately predicted and on-demand customized,even under a small ***,we develop a screening algorithm for the q-BIC spectrum to quickly realize the polarization independent enhancement of GH *** an application,an ultra-high sensitivity refractive index sensor has been proposed,whose sensitivity can reach 2.31×10~7μm/RIU for TM polarization and 1.03×10~6μm/RIU for TE ***,this work brings new solutions for quick prediction of q-BIC spectrum and the development of flexible polarization photonic devices.
