In this paper, we consider the $n \times n$ two-payer zero-sum repeated game in which one player (player X) employs the popular Hedge (also called multiplicative weights update) learning algorithm while the other player (player Y) adopts the myopic best response. The theoretical analysis on the dynamics of such game system is still rare, which is however of promising interests. We investigate the dynamics of such Hedge-myopic system by defining a metric $Q\left(\mathbf{x}_{t}\right)$, which measures the distance between the stage strategy x t and Nash Equilibrium (NE) strategy of player $\mathbf{X}$. We analyze the trend of $Q\left(\mathbf{x}_{t}\right)$ and prove that it is bounded and can only take finite values on the evolutionary path when payoffs are all rational numbers and the game has an interior NE. Based on this, we prove that the stage strategy sequence of both players are periodic after finite stages and the time-averaged strategy of player Y within one period is an exact NE strategy.

A periodic leaky-wave antenna (PLWA) can usually produce a narrow beam scanning in the backward and in the forward quadrants with frequency. However, a PLWA with a low permittivity may suffer from some stopbands (e.g., open stopband and the next coming stopband) and unwanted grating lobe, as the main beam scans through broadside and in the forward quadrant. Besides, it may also suffer from an unwanted grating lobe, which limits its single-beam scanning range. This talk discusses recent advances in the research on the suppression of two stopbands (the open stopband and the next coming stopband) and unwanted grating lobe in PLWA.

A miniaturized dual-band dipole-based planar antenna for mobile satellite service (MSS) is presented. Four pairs of U-shaped arms are added at the end of the dipole, which can reduce the antenna area to 0.18 λ 0 × 0.1 λ 0 . To improve impedance matching, a pair of trapezoidal structures are loaded at the feeding point. A prototype was designed, fabricated, and measured to verify the idea. Good agreement between the simulations and measurements is obtained. The measured 10-dB impedance bandwidths are 1.83% (1512-1540 MHz) and 1.69% (1647-1675 MHz), respectively, which can fully support the 7-MHz L-band MSS.
