This study investigates the controllability of a general heterogeneous networked sampled-data system(HNSS) consisting of nonidentical node systems, where the inner coupling between any pair of nodes can be described by a unique *** signals on control and transmission channels are sampled and held by zero-order holders, and the control sampling period of each node can be different. Necessary and sufficient controllability conditions are developed for the general HNSS, using the Smith normal form and matrix equations, respectively. The HNSS in specific topology or dynamic settings is discussed subsequently with easier-to-verify conditions derived. These heterogeneous factors have been determined to independently or jointly affect the controllability of networked sampled-data systems. Notably, heterogeneous sampling periods have the potential to enhance the overall controllability, but not for systems with some special dynamics. When the node dynamics are heterogeneous,the overall system can be controllable even if it is topologically uncontrollable. In addition, in several typical heterogeneous sampled-data multi-agent systems, pathological sampling of single-node systems will necessarily cause overall uncontrollability.

In recent years,audio pattern recognition has emerged as a key area of research,driven by its applications in human-computer interaction,robotics,and *** methods,which rely heavily on handcrafted features such asMel filters,often suffer frominformation loss and limited feature representation *** address these limitations,this study proposes an innovative end-to-end audio pattern recognition framework that directly processes raw audio signals,preserving original information and extracting effective classification *** proposed framework utilizes a dual-branch architecture:a global refinement module that retains channel and temporal details and a multi-scale embedding module that captures high-level semantic ***,a guided fusion module integrates complementary features from both branches,ensuring a comprehensive representation of audio ***,the multi-scale audio context embedding module is designed to effectively extract spatiotemporal dependencies,while the global refinement module aggregates multi-scale channel and temporal cues for enhanced *** guided fusion module leverages these features to achieve efficient integration of complementary information,resulting in improved classification *** results demonstrate the model’s superior performance on multiple datasets,including ESC-50,UrbanSound8K,RAVDESS,and CREMA-D,with classification accuracies of 93.25%,90.91%,92.36%,and 70.50%,*** results highlight the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed framework,which significantly outperforms existing *** addressing critical challenges such as information loss and limited feature representation,thiswork provides newinsights and methodologies for advancing audio classification and multimodal interaction systems.

Modality Unified Attack for Omni-Modality Person Re-Identification

Deep learning based person re-identification (re-id) models have been widely employed in surveillance systems. Recent studies have demonstrated that black-box single-modality and cross-modality re-id models are vulnerable to adversarial examples (AEs), leaving the robustness of multi-modality re-id models unexplored. Due to the lack of knowledge about the specific type of model deployed in the target black-box surveillance system, we aim to generate modality unified AEs for omni-modality (single-, cross- and multi-modality) re-id models. Specifically, we propose a novel Modality Unified Attack method to train modality-specific adversarial generators to generate AEs that effectively attack different omni-modality models. A multi-modality model is adopted as the surrogate model, wherein the features of each modality are perturbed by metric disruption loss before fusion. To collapse the common features of omnimodality models, Cross Modality Simulated Disruption approach is introduced to mimic the cross-modality feature embeddings by intentionally feeding images to non-corresponding modality-specific subnetworks of the surrogate model. Moreover, Multi Modality Collaborative Disruption strategy is devised to facilitate the attacker to comprehensively corrupt the informative content of person images by leveraging a multi modality feature collaborative metric disruption loss. Extensive experiments show that our MUA method can effectively attack the omni-modality re-id models, achieving 55.9%, 24.4%, 49.0% and 62.7% mean mAP Drop Rate, respectively. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Broadband chaos generation is numerically demonstrated using an integrated tri-section laser which is composed of mutually coupled distributed feedback (DFB) lasers with a phase section, and the broadband chaos synchronization of two DFB lasers is achieved using the integrated laser as a driver. The simulation results indicate that the integrated tri-section laser with optical feedback can generate broadband chaos with a bandwidth up to 34 GHz, based on dual-mode beating effect. The influence of feedback strength and frequency interval on the chaos bandwidth are studied in detail. As a common driving signal, the broadband chaos signal can induce the response DFB lasers to generate chaos signals with a bandwidth of no less than 25 GHz and meanwhile achieve chaos synchronization with a correlation coefficient beyond 0.98. The low correlation coefficient between the drive signal and the response signal ensures the security of the chaos carrier from the public channel. Moreover, the dynamic properties of the integrated laser and the influence of the external parameters on chaotic synchronization are also investigated. © 2025 IEEE.

Constructing an accurate performance degradation model is significant for analyzing equipment reliability and developing efficient maintenance strategies. In practical work scenarios, the available degradation data for equipment is often limited due to economic and technical constraints. This data contains a significant amount of epistemic uncertainty that cannot be adequately described by conventional probabilistic theories. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes a polynomial uncertain process within the framework of uncertainty theory to effectively characterize equipment's performance degradation. Compared to general linear or nonlinear uncertain processes, the polynomial uncertain process demonstrates the ability to accurately depict the degradation trajectories of equipment with different degradation characteristics at various stages. To estimate the unknown parameters of the polynomial uncertain process, this paper introduces a parameter estimation method based on the principles of least squares and minimum noise. Furthermore, the reliability of the equipment is analyzed and evaluated using the concepts of uncertainty theory and first hitting time. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated in detail through an example involving a railway gyroscope. © 2023 IEEE.

Effect of radical scavenger on electrical tree in cross-linked polyethylene with large harmonic superimposed DC voltage

In this study,three kinds of radical scavenger Chimassorb 944,Tinuvin 622,and Tinuvin 770 are used to suppress the growth of electrical trees in cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)with transient superimposed voltage under the temperature *** tree morphology,tree length,accumulated damage,and time to breakdown are used to investigate the effect of radical scavenger on the electrical treeing *** is found that under the temperature gradient caused by the temperature rise on the high voltage side,only Tinuvin 622 can always suppress the electrical tree as the temperature gradient *** the temperature gradient caused by the temperature rise on the ground side,the three radical scavengers can all suppress the electrical *** breakdown of electrical tree exhibits the strong DC polarity ***,energy levels of these three radical scavengers are calculated through quantum chemistry,and the results indicate that radical scavengers have greater electron affinity,smaller ionisation energy,and smaller energy gap than *** to the surface potential decay test results at 60℃,it is found that all three radical scavengers can introduce deep *** different performances of radical scavengers under different temperature gradients and voltages are determined by the trap distribution characteristics,the molecular structure and chemical reaction of the additives *** is concluded that Tinuvin 622 has potential for use in high voltage direct current XLPE cable application.

Fractional core-based collapse mechanism and structural optimization in complex systems

Catastrophic and major disasters in real-world systems ranging from financial markets and ecosystems, often show generic early-warning signals that may indicate a collapse. Hence, understanding the collapse mechanism of a complex network and predicting its process are of uttermost importance. However, these challenges are often hindered by the extremely high dimensionality of the underlying *** present here the concept of the fractional core(F-core) that considers the contribution of the network topology and dynamics to systematically analyze the collapse process in such networks, and encompass a broad range of dynamical systems, from mutualistic ecosystems to regulatory dynamics. We offer testable predictions on the tipping point, and, in particular, prove that the extinction of the maximum F-core of a network is an efficient indicator of whether a system completely collapses. The results show that the death of species or cells in a low-order F-core may improve the average density and have little influence on the tipping point. Generally, the principle of the F-core demonstrates how complex systems collapse and opens an innovative optimization strategy to uncover the optimal structure of systems.

Reinforcement learning for optimal tracking of large-scale systems with multitime scales

This paper aims to solve an optimal tracking control(OTC) problem of large-scale systems with multitime scales and coupled subsystems using singular perturbation(SP) theory and reinforcement learning(RL) techniques. A considerable contribution of this paper is the development of a data-driven SP-based RL method for the OTC of unknown large-scale systems with multitime scales. To achieve this, a multitime scale tracking problem was decomposed into a linear quadratic tracker problem for slow subsystems and a dynamical game problem for fast subsystems using the SP theory. Then, the distributed composite feedback controllers were found using a distributed off-policy integral RL algorithm that uses only measured data from the system in real time. Thus, the operational index can follow its prescribed target value via an approximately optimal approach. Theoretical analysis and proof are presented to demonstrate that the sum of the performances of reduced-order subsystems is approximately equal to the performance of the original large-scale system. Finally, numerical and practical examples are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
