Enhancing Entity Relationship Extraction in Dialogue Texts Using Hypergraph and Heterogeneous Graph

Dialogue-based relation extraction(DialogRE) aims to predict relationships between two entities in dialogue. Current approaches to dialogue relationship extraction grapple with long-distance entity relationships in dialogue data as well as complex entity relationships, such as a single entity with multiple types of connections. To address these issues, this paper presents a novel approach for dialogue relationship extraction termed the hypergraphs and heterogeneous graphs model(HG2G). This model introduces a two-tiered structure, comprising dialogue hypergraphs and dialogue heterogeneous graphs, to address the shortcomings of existing methods. The dialogue hypergraph establishes connections between similar nodes using hyper-edges and utilizes hypergraph convolution to capture multi-level features. Simultaneously, the dialogue heterogeneous graph connects nodes and edges of different types, employing heterogeneous graph convolution to aggregate cross-sentence information. Ultimately, the integrated nodes from both graphs capture the semantic nuances inherent in dialogue. Experimental results on the DialogRE dataset demonstrate that the HG2G model outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods.

A data representation method using distance correlation

Association in-between features has been demonstrated to improve the representation ability of data. However, the original association data reconstruction method may face two issues: the dimension of reconstructed data is undoubtedly higher than that of original data, and adopted association measure method does not well balance effectiveness and efficiency. To address above two issues, this paper proposes a novel association-based representation improvement method, named as AssoRep. AssoRep first obtains the association between features via distance correlation method that has some advantages than Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Then an improved matrix is formed via stacking the association value of any two features. Next, an improved feature representation is obtained by aggregating the original feature with the enhancement matrix. Finally, the improved feature representation is mapped to a low-dimensional space via principal component analysis. The effectiveness of AssoRep is validated on 120 datasets and the fruits further prefect our previous work on the association data reconstruction.

Smart contracts are widely used on the blockchain to implement complex transactions,such as decentralized applications on *** vulnerability detection of large-scale smart contracts is critical,as attacks on smart contracts often cause huge economic *** it is difficult to repair and update smart contracts,it is necessary to find the vulnerabilities before they are ***,code analysis,which requires traversal paths,and learning methods,which require many features to be trained,are too time-consuming to detect large-scale on-chain ***-based methods will obtain detection models from a feature space compared to code analysis methods such as symbol *** the existing features lack the interpretability of the detection results and training model,even worse,the large-scale feature space also affects the efficiency of *** paper focuses on improving the detection efficiency by reducing the dimension of the features,combined with expert *** this paper,a feature extraction model Block-gram is proposed to form low-dimensional knowledge-based features from ***,the metadata is separated and the runtime code is converted into a sequence of opcodes,which are divided into segments based on some instructions(jumps,etc.).Then,scalable Block-gram features,including 4-dimensional block features and 8-dimensional attribute features,are mined for the learning-based model ***,feature contributions are calculated from SHAP values to measure the relationship between our features and the results of the detection *** addition,six types of vulnerability labels are made on a dataset containing 33,885 contracts,and these knowledge-based features are evaluated using seven state-of-the-art learning algorithms,which show that the average detection latency speeds up 25×to 650×,compared with the features extracted by N-gram,and also can enhance the interpretability of the detection model.

Lead(Pb)plays a significant role in the nuclear industry and is extensively used in radiation shielding,radiation protection,neutron moderation,radiation measurements,and various other critical ***,the measurement and evaluation of Pb nuclear data are highly regarded in nuclear scientific research,emphasizing its crucial role in the *** the time-of-flight(ToF)method,the neutron leakage spectra from three^(nat)Pb samples were measured at 60°and 120°based on the neutronics integral experimental facility at the China Institute of Atomic Energy(CIAE).The^(nat)Pb sample sizes were30 cm×30 cm×5 cm,30 cm×30 cm×10 cm,and 30 cm×30 cm×15 *** sources were generated by the Cockcroft-Walton accelerator,producing approximately 14.5 MeV and 3.5 MeV neutrons through the T(d,n)^(4)He and D(d,n)^(3)He reactions,*** neutron spectra were also calculated by employing the Monte Carlo code of MCNP-4C,and the nuclear data of Pb isotopes from four libraries:CENDL-3.2,JEFF-3.3,JENDL-5,and ENDF/B-Ⅷ.0 were used *** comparing the simulation and experimental results,improvements and deficiencies in the evaluated nuclear data of the Pb isotopes were *** of the calculated results were consistent with the experimental results;however,a few areas did not fit *** the(n,el)energy range,the simulated results from CENDL-3.2 were significantly overestimated;in the(n,inl)D and the(n,inl)C energy regions,the results from CENDL-3.2 and ENDF/B-Ⅷ.0 were significantly overestimated at 120°,and the results from JENDL-5 and JEFF-3.3 are underestimated at 60°in the(n,inl)D energy *** calculated spectra were analyzed by comparing them with the experimental spectra in terms of the neutron spectrum shape and C/E *** results indicate that the theoretical simulations,using different data libraries,overestimated or underestimated the measured values in certain energy *** neutron energies and angular distributions in

Einocchio: Efficiently Outsourcing Polynomial Computation with Verifiable Computation and Optimized Newton Interpolation

Cloud computing, as a promising service platform, has gained significant popularity in addressing emerging data privacy issues in applications such as machine learning and data mining. Researchers have proposed the verifiable computing that allows the cloud users to delegate their computation tasks to the cloud server. Then, the cloud server computes the cryptographic proofs that verify the correctness of the results, a process that is generally faster ompared to local manual computation. However, performing computation tasks or verifying the correctness of encrypted data, such as multivariate polynomial functions, remains a significant challenge. To solve this problem, we propose Einocchio: A verifiable computation scheme that combines the efficient Pinocchio system with homomorphic encryption, which allows the public verification of the computational results on the server side while ensuring data confidentiality and the results. Compared with the existing solutions, Einocchio does not reveal the client's input. Furthermore, we extrapolate Einocchio by optimizing the Pinocchio's quadratic arithmetic program component using a differential optimization method, which reduces the computational workload owing to the conversion from quadratic to linear complexity, thereby increasing the efficiency of the quadratic arithmetic program preprocessing stage. Security analysis demonstrates that Einocchio achieves IND-CPA security. Finally, the performance evaluation confirmed its effectiveness and suitability for cloud computing environments. Compared to the corresponding scheme based on Newton interpolation, Einocchio achieves a threefold greater computational efficiency, with the generation of interpolation polynomials for 50 data inputs occurring in a mere 0.31 ms, while simultaneously reducing the number of computations. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

PLC-MDT: A Framework for Detecting Anomalies with Digital Twins of Industrial Control Systems

The attack events (such as the Stuxnet and BlackEnergy) that targeted the Industrial Control System (ICS) have validated its vulnerability to cyber intrusions. The prevention of ICS from cyberattacks is undoubtedly important and practical as it operates dangerous equipment and produces products that people need. Traditional anomaly detection methods, which rely heavily on SCADA data, are often unreliable due to the limitation of such data in accurately reflecting real-time system states under attacks. Therefore, we propose PLC-MDT, a novel anomaly detection method based on digital twins (DT), exploiting the modern communication technology and computing resources of ICS. PLC-MDT does not depend solely on SCADA data, instead, it leverages the interaction between DT and real-world ICS, utilizing both DT and field-site data to perform anomaly detection. Specifically, for PLC-MDT, the prediction model in DT is trained based on historical data, and the predicted values are used as input to the mechanism model in DT to generate simulated data. Networked structure of ICS guarantees real-time data collected from field sites for DT. Therefore, PLC-MDT detects attacks by monitoring the difference between the predicted and real-time data, revealing control channel corruption when the difference exceeds a threshold. The effectiveness of PLC-MDT is demonstrated through experiments on real-world systems, showing its potential for real-time detection of anomalies in ICS. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

The Synchronization of Time for VLBI Observations

For some space radio telescopes,the orbit determination accuracy is not high enough,the time synchronization accuracy provided by the satellite platforms is low,and GNSS devices are not *** a result,a traditional method that relies on GNSS devices to obtain an initial clock offset followed by performing correlation with the calibration source may fail to obtain ***,a brutal force search across the 2D clock offset and fringe rate search plane is computationally *** light of these challenges,we propose a novel time synchronization method that utilizes the spacecraft’s telemetry tone *** method employs frequency polynomials derived from Doppler tracking for fringe rotation during the correlation *** aligning the frequency of the target station precisely with that of the reference station,it is only necessary to split the clock offset search range into multiple time windows,perform correlation for each window,and identify the window with the highest signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).The precise clock offset is determined by combining the residual delay with the initial *** validate the method,we observe the Tianwen-1 telemetry signal with the 4.5 m small telescope in the Tianma campus of Shanghai Astronomical Observatory and 40 m telescope in *** results demonstrate that our method can accurately determine clock offset for a time range as wide as±10 ms,with an SNR slightly higher than that achieved with the delay *** method is suitable for wide-range time synchronization for space Very Long Baseline Interferometry observations,especially in scenarios involving small antennas with low sensitivity and poor orbit determination accuracy.

Towards Resilience 5G-V2N: Efficient and Privacy-Preserving Authentication Protocol for Multi-Service Access and Handover

The booming 5 G cellular networks sparked tremendous interest in supporting more sophisticated critical use cases through vehicle-to-network (V2N) communications. However, the inherent technical vulnerabilities and densification of 5 G raise new security and efficiency challenges. The existing secondary authentication fails to support multi-service access. The random access process lacks authentication of the gNB, possibly leading to fake base station attacks (FBS). Moreover, related research extends key forward/backward secrecy (KF/BS) to require that it also applies to gNBs, thus invalidating most existing schemes. This paper introduces a comprehensive security framework for 5G-V2N that seamlessly integrates with existing standardized architecture to provide privacy-preserving mutual authentication and key agreement for the full service cycle. Specifically, we propose new secondary authentication involving gNBs and support single request access to multi-services. Second, incorporating the service migration idea, we design the g2g (gNB-to-gNB) channel establishment phase to promote secure context share. Finally, the proposed efficient handover phase achieves the security properties of enhanced KF/BS, known randomness secrecy and privacy-preserving, and avoids FBS. We verify the proposed protocol using three different formal techniques: provably secure, BAN-logic, and AVISPA tool. Extensive experimental results and comparison show that our scheme excels in computational and communication efficiencies, and detecting malicious events. © 2025 IEEE.

Knowledge-Centered Dual-Process Reasoning for Math Word Problems With Large Language Models

Math word problem (MWP) serves as a critical milestone for assessing the text mining ability and knowledge mastery level of models. Recent advancements have witnessed large language models (LLMs) showcasing remarkable performance on MWP. However, current LLMs still frequently exhibit logical errors, which highlights their inability to fully grasp the knowledge required for genuine step-by-step mathematical reasoning. To this end, in this paper, we propose a novel Knowledge-guided Solver (KNOS) framework that empowers LLMs to simulate human mathematical reasoning, whose core idea is to Invoke-Verify-Inject necessary knowledge to solve MWP. We draw inspiration from the dual-process theory to construct two cooperative systems: a Knowledge System and an Inference System. Specifically, the Knowledge System employs LLMs as the knowledge base and develops a novel knowledge invoker that can elicit their relevant knowledge to support the strict step-level mathematical reasoning. In the Inference System, we propose a knowledge verifier and a knowledge injector to evaluate the knowledge rationality and further guide the step-wise symbolic deduction in an interpretable manner based on human cognitive mechanism, respectively. Moreover, to tackle the potential scarcity issue of mathematics-specific knowledge in LLMs, we consider an open-book exam scenario and propose an improved version of KNOS called EKNOS. In EKNOS, we meticulously design knowledge selectors to extract the most relevant commonsense and math formulas from external knowledge sources for each reasoning step. This knowledge is utilized to assist the knowledge invoker in better stimulating LLMs' reasoning abilities. Both KNOS and EKNOS are flexible to empower different LLMs. Our experiments with GPT3, ChatGPT, and GPT4 not only demonstrate their reasoning accuracy improvement but also show how they bring the strict step-wise interpretability of mathematical thinking. © 2025 IEEE.
