As the demand for reliable power supply in power systems grows, ensuring the performance of circuit breaker operating mechanisms is crucial. This performance is pivotal to the stability of the power grid, the speed of fault recovery, and the equipment’s lifespan. In this paper, we introduce a structural optimization plan for a new magnetic control operating mechanism designed for 10kV circuit breakers. Employing three-dimensional and mathematical modeling, complemented by finite element analysis with Maxwell software, we delved into an in-depth study of the mechanism’s structure, performance, and materials. We further conducted a parametric design and comparative analysis of key components. The simulation results, which exclude the spring load, demonstrate that the optimized circuit breaker can achieve a closing velocity of 3.07 m/s, an electromagnetic force peaking at 2.7 kN, and a closure time minimized to 8.5 ms. These enhancements notably improve the mechanism’s closing efficiency. Consequently, our research introduces a novel perspective to the field of reliability studies for magnetic control operating mechanisms.

Diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging (dMRI) plays a crucial role in the noninvasive investigation of tissue microstructural properties and structural connectivity in the in vivo human brain. However, to effectively capture the intricate characteristics of water diffusion at various directions and scales, it is important to employ comprehensive q-space sampling. Unfortunately, this requirement leads to long scan times, limiting the clinical applicability of dMRI. To address this challenge, we propose SSOR, a Simultaneous q-Space sampling Optimization and Reconstruction framework. We jointly optimize a subset of q-space samples using a continuous representation of spherical harmonic functions and a reconstruction network. Additionally, we integrate the unique properties of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) in both the q-space and image domains by applying l1-norm and total-variation *** experiments conducted on HCP data demonstrate that SSOR has promising strengths both quantitatively and qualitatively and exhibits robustness to noise.

Dynamics Modeling with Realistic Constraints for Robust Tracking Control of Manipulator

To meet the requirements of precision assembly in industrial scenarios, an efficient, accurate and robust modeling control method has become an important research objective. This paper proposes a novel manipulator control method with three-level constraints, called the real deep Lagrangian network (Real-DeLaN). In this method, real data (also called physical data) are collected from the physical manipulator and utilized to train the Lagrangian dynamics network model to improve the migration ability from simulation to reality. The torque output of the dynamic model is corrected by real-time calculation of friction in the network. The contact force on the end effector of the manipulator is compensated based on the principle of virtual displacement work. Furthermore, a robust controller based on the dynamics model is designed, and the Lyapunov theorem is used to prove that the controlled system can achieve three different kinds of stability. The experimental results show that Real-DeLaN can better control the joints to perform trajectory tracking, reduce the friction error of the manipulator, and show better anti-interference ability. The robust controller further improves the robustness and tracking control effect of this method. Moreover, the method has higher practicability than other existing methods due to its good adaptability and migration ability. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

To address the conformal contact problem in self-lubricating spherical plain bearings bonded with a self-lubricating layer, a universal analytical model for normal contact between friction-less spheres is established. The accuracy and generality of this new model are verified through numerous finite element analyses. Our model overcomes the limitations of elastic half-space and small deformation assumptions. It can accurately calculate the contact stress distribution of self-lubricating spherical bearings bonded with a self-lubricating layer. Based on the new model, the complex non-linear relationship between the variables is being investigated. The model can be extended and applied to the conformal contact problem of spherical contact surfaces in biomechanics and other fields. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The amplitude-frequency characteristics of a non-planar complex structure composed of a flexible beam and a ring are systematically investigated. The kinetic and strain potential energy expressions are theoretically calculated for the beam-ring system. Hamilton's principle is employed to derive the nonlinear governing equations of motion of the beam-ring structure. The nonlinear partial governing differential equation of motion for the beam-ring system is discretized into two coupled ordinary differential equations including quadratic and cubic nonlinearities by using Galerkin's technique. The method of multiple scales is utilized to approximately analyze the dynamical system and yield a set of autonomous equations. The amplitude-frequency characteristics and the stability of the steady-state solution are studied numerically. The frequency-response curves show that there exist multi-value solution and jump phenomenon in the system and some parameters of the amplitude-frequency equations have significant contributions to the nonlinear responses of the beam-ring system.

Based on the theory of crystal plasticity, coupled with dislocation and lath hardening models, this paper establishes a crystal plasticity finite element model describing the high temperature creep of P92 steel. Open source software was used to generate lath models with an average size of 350nm, 650nm and 950nm to explore the effect of lath coarsening on the high-temperature creep behavior of P92 steel. The results show that the roughening of the slats increases the rate of creep deformation, resulting in a decrease in the service life of the material. Observing the slat model, it can be seen that the roughening of the slats enlarges the numerical gradient of stress and strain, and aggravates the overall plastic strain of the model. The coarsening of the slats accelerates the movement of dislocations, causing the density of movable dislocations to increase, and at the same time the shear strain amplitude of the slip system increases, thereby reducing the hardening behavior of the material. © Journal of Physics: Conference Series 2021.

With the deployment of large-scale antenna arrays, the already limited time-frequency resources are becoming increasingly scarce. In this study, we propose a novel Laplacian Pyramid Channel Completion Network (LPCCNet) designed for channel completion, thereby reducing the demand for time-frequency resources in massive MIMO systems. Compared with existing network models, the proposed LPCCNet, by employing a progressive upsampling architecture, effectively mitigates aliasing effects, suppresses error propagation, and achieves a substantial reduction in computational complexity. The simulation results show that LPCCNet achieves a superior channel completion quality compared to existing methods, particularly in rapidly time-varying scenarios. © 1994-2012 IEEE.

At present, there exist some problems in granular clustering methods, such as lack of nonlinear membership description and global optimization of granular data boundaries. To address these issues, in this study, revolving around the parabolic granular data, we propose an overall architecture for parabolic granular modeling and clustering. To begin with, novel coverage and specificity functions are established, and then a parabolic granular data structure is proposed. The fuzzy c-means (FCM) algorithm is used to obtain the numeric prototypes, and then particle swarm optimization (PSO) is introduced to construct the parabolic granular data from the global perspective under the guidance of principle of justifiable granularity (PJG). Combining the advantages of FCM and PSO, we propose the parabolic granular modeling and optimization (PGMO) method. Moreover, we put forward attribute weights and sample weights as well as a distance measure induced by the Gaussian kernel similarity, and then come up with the algorithm of weighted kernel fuzzy clustering for parabolic granularity (WKFC-PG). In addition, the assessment mechanism of parabolic granular clustering is discussed. In summary, we set up an overall architecture including parabolic granular modeling, clustering, and assessment. Finally, comparative experiments on artificial, UCI, and high-dimensional datasets validate that our overall architecture delivers a good improvement over previous strategies. The parameter analysis and time complexity are also given for WKFC-PG. In contrast with related granular clustering algorithms, it is observed that WKFC-PG performs better than other granular clustering algorithms and has superior stability in handling outliers, especially on high-dimensional datasets. © 2020 IEEE.

Mandibular defect repair has always been a clinical challenge, facing technical bottleneck. The new materials directly affect technological breakthroughs in mandibular defect repair field. Our aim is to fabricate a scaffold for mandibular defect repairing with advanced biomaterials. Therefore, a novel dual-channel printed scaffold consisting of silk fibroin/collagen type I /hydroxyapatite (SCH) and polycaprolactone/hydroxyapatite (PCL/HA) was fabricated by 3D printing technology with double nozzles. The mechanical properties and behaviors of dual-channel printed scaffold were investigated by performing uniaxial compression, creep, stress relaxation and ratcheting experiments respectively. The experiments indicated the Young modulus of dual-channel printed scaffold was 60.1 kPa and dual-channel printed scaffold was typical nolinear viscoelastic consistent with bone tissue. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was employed performing a numerical simulation to evaluate the implantation effect in mandible. The stress distribution of the contact area between scaffold and defect was uniform, the maximum Mises stress of cortical bone and cancellous bone in defect area were 54.52MPa and 3.196MPa, and the maximum displacement of cortical bone and cancellous bone in defect area were 0.1575mm and 0.1555mm, which were distributed in the incisor region. The peak value of the maximum Mises stress for the scaffold implanted was 3.128× MPa and the maximum displacement was 6.453×mm distributed near incisor area. The displacement distribution of the scaffold was consistent with that of cortical and cancellous bone. The scaffold recovered well when the force applied on it disappeared. Above all, dual-channel printed scaffold had excellent bio-mechanical properties in implanting mandible, which provides a new idea for the reconstruction of irregular bone defects in the mandible and has good clinical development prospects. © 2023, The Authors. Under the background of science collaborative education and engineering education accreditation, it is necessary to explore an intelligent and integrated graduation project system to train students by all sorts of engineering and research projects, thus improve students' practical ability and innovation ability. This paper first analyzed the problems of the graduation project in the major of process equipment and control engineering, then introduced a novel hierarchical graduation project system to adapt to the concept of science collaborative education and engineering education. By putting the novel graduation project system into effect, the quality of graduation project has significantly improved. © 2021 ACM.
