Using entropy-driven amplifier circuit response to build nonlinear model under the influence of Lévy jump

BACKGROUND:Bioinformatics is a subject produced by the combination of life science and computer science. It mainly uses computer technology to study the laws of biological systems. The design and realization of DNA circuit reaction is one of the important contents of bioinformatics. RESULTS:In this paper, nonlinear dynamic system model with Lévy jump based on entropy-driven amplifier (EDA) circuit response is studied. Firstly, nonlinear biochemical reaction system model is established based on EDA circuit response. Considering the influence of disturbance factors on the system, nonlinear biochemical reaction system with Lévy jump is built. Secondly, in order to prove that the constructed system conforms to the actual meaning, the existence and uniqueness of the system solution is analyzed. Next, the sufficient conditions for the end and continuation of EDA circuit reaction are certified. Finally, the correctness of the theoretical results is proved by numerical simulation, and the reactivity of THTSignal in EDA circuit under different noise intensity is verified. CONCLUSIONS:In EDA circuit reaction, the intensity of external noise has a significant impact on the system. The end of EDA circuit reaction is closely related to the intensity of Lévy noise, and Lévy jump has a significant impact on the nature of biochemical reaction system.

Influence of vibration on mechanical polishing micro-structured surface using discrete element method

A model using discrete element method (DEM) was conducted to simulate vibration assisted mechanical polishing micro-structured surface process by particle flow code in three dimensions (PFC3D). The effect laws of vibration frequency and amplitude on abrasive grains and polishing force were researched in detail according to the simulation results. The effects of vibration on the particles average motion velocity in one fluid cell were researched, and the simulation results show that average velocity increases with increase of vibration frequency and amplitude on the whole. The effects of vibration on the unbalanced force acting on the workpiece surface were quantified at first. The changes of average unbalanced force obviously increase for low feed rate with increase of frequency and increase approximately linearly with increase of amplitude. It is concluded that vibration with high frequency and great amplitude can significantly increase machining efficiency and improve surface quality in micro-structured surface polishing. The variable configuration of the folding wings is beneficial to take into account the maneuverability and endurance of the aircraft. During the flight, the elastic deformation and folding motion of the folding wing will induce additional aerodynamic forces, which will produce new deformation and new aerodynamic forces on the wing structure, and this reciprocal coupling will make the folding wing response may tend to diverge and lead to structural damage. In this paper,the principle of geometric similarity is used to simplify the folding wing into a folding plate and study its rigid-flexible aerodynamic coupling dynamics, which has certain practical significance as well as the theoretical value.

In the process of machine tool cutting, there are strict geometric relations among the cutting edge curve / tool surface, machine tool movement and workpiece surface, and the machine tool movement is also related to the type of tool. Firstly, the forming methods of cutting workpiece surface are analyzed and summarized from the geometric point of view, and the scanning forming method and its geometric expression are studied, and the research technical route of forming turning scanning forming is put forward. Then, the mathematical modeling and Simulation of forming turning are carried out according to the proposed technical route. Finally, taking the groove of the inner ring of the formed turning ball bearing as an example, the mathematical modeling of the design surface of the workpiece and the machined surface of the workpiece is carried out. The radial dimension changes of the workpiece caused by the cutting force and tool wear are analyzed, and the simulation of the machined surface of the workpiece is carried out. © 2021, CC BY.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder globally. The eye’s retina is an extension of the brain and has great potential in PD screening. Recent studies have suggested that texture features extracted from retinal layers can be adopted as biomarkers for PD diagnosis under optical coherence tomography (OCT) images. Frequency domain learning techniques can enhance the feature representations of deep neural networks (DNNs) by decomposing frequency components involving rich texture features. Additionally, previous works have not exploited texture features for automated PD screening in OCT. Motivated by the above analysis, we propose a novel Adaptive Wavelet Filter (AWF) that serves as the Practical Texture Feature Amplifier to fully leverage the merits of texture features to boost the PD screening performance of DNNs with the aid of frequency domain learning. Specifically, AWF first enhances texture feature representation diversities via channel mixer, then emphasizes informative texture feature representations with the well-designed adaptive wavelet filtering token mixer. By combining the AWFs with the DNN stem, AWFNet is constructed for automated PD screening. Additionally, we introduce a novel Balanced Confidence (BC) Loss by mining the potential of sample-wise predicted probabilities of all classes and class frequency prior, to further boost the PD screening performance and trustworthiness of AWFNet. The extensive experiments manifest the superiority of our AWFNet and BC over state-of-the-art methods in terms of PD screening performance and trustworthiness. © 2025, CC BY-NC-SA.

This paper presents a study of optimal control design for a single-inverted pendulum(SIP)system with the multi-objective particle swarm optimization(MOPSO)*** proportional derivative(PD)control algorithm is utilized to control the *** the SIP system is nonlinear and the output(the pendulum angle)cannot be directly controlled(it is under-actuated),the PD control gains are not tuned with classical *** this work,the MOPSO method is used to obtain the best PD *** use of multi-objective optimization algorithm allows the control design of the system without the need of linearization,which is not provided by using classical *** multi-objective optimal control design of the nonlinear system involves four design parameters(PD gains)and six objective functions(time-domain performance indices).The HausdorfF distances of consecutive Pareto sets,obtained in the MOPSO iterations,are computed to check the convergence of the MOPSO *** MOPSO algorithm finds the Pareto set and the Pareto front *** simulations and experiments of the rotary inverted pendulum system are done to verify this design *** and experimental results show that the multi-objective optimal controls offer a wide range of choices including the ones that have comparable performances to the linear quadratic regulator(LQR)control.

Reinforcement learning (RL) has gained wide attention, but its implementation in autonomous vehicles is still limited by insufficient sample efficiency and heavy training costs. The training efficiency of RL agents is influenced by the dimension of the state space, which can be partitioned to reduce the complexity of sampling and computation. This study proposes a hierarchical clustering-based state grouping reinforcement learning (HCSG-RL) method for the switching decision of autonomous vehicles. First, we partition the base state space into groups and generate a hierarchical tree of state space groups. Then, we train multiple sub-agents for each node in the hierarchical tree. Finally, we add these trained-well sub-model into master policy. This method allows us to fully explore all state spaces and improve the training efficiency of individual agents, which handles the “long-tail” issue and the curse of dimensionality issue. We conduct experiments in a simulation environment and results show that the proposed method has 16–72% reward improvement compared to the tree model in different road length.

Guaranteeing human-specified performance in robot control subject to complex uncertainties is challenging. This study takes time-varying (possibly fast), bounded with unknown bounds uncertainties into consideration in controlling an uncertain robotic manipulator system (URMS). We employ an adaptive law to on-line estimate the unknown bounds for uncertainty compensation, and prescribed transient and steady state performance (TSSP) are guaranteed by using a state transformation technique. As a result, a class of adaptive robust control with prescribed TSSP is proposed. Simulation results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Protic ionic liquids (PILs) have emerged as promising solvents for CO2 capture, offering great potential for the development of efficient CO2 absorbents. Understanding the relationship between the PILs’ structures and CO2absorption mechanisms is instructive for advancing their applicability. Herein, an innovative strategy for CO2 capture using nonstoichiometric PILs was demonstrated for the first time. These nonstoichiometric PILs composed of imidazole (Im) as a Brønsted acid and 1,8-diazabicyclo [5.4.0] undec-7-ene (DBU) as a Brønsted base with various ratios. They exhibited both low viscosities and remarkable CO2 loading capacities, reaching up to 0.194 g CO2 /g IL and 1.42 mol CO2 /mol IL at 0.1 atm and 40 °C. The distribution of neutral and ionic species in these nonstoichiometric PILs was determined using density functional theory (DFT) calculations and nuclear magnetic (NMR) spectroscopy analysis. Correlations between the mole ratio of Brønsted acid and base and the viscosities, conductivities, and CO2 absorption properties were observed. The mechanism of CO2 absorption was proposed from the spectral results and DFT calculations. The superior CO2 loading ability of these PILs can be attributed to the formation of the zwitterionic carbamic complexes through interactions between CO2 and the N atom in DBU. Additionally, the presentence of Im significantly avoided the dramatic increase in the viscosity of the absorbents during CO2 absorption. It is believed that the new insights into the CO2 mechanism will facilitate the rational design of PILs for CO2 capture in the future. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A molecular device: A DNA molecular lock driven by the nicking enzymes

As people are placing more and more importance on information security, how to realize the protection of information has become a hotspot of current research. As a security device, DNA molecular locks have great potential to realize information protection at the molecular level. However, building a highly secure molecular lock is still a serious challenge. Therefore, taking advantage of the DNA strand displacement and enzyme control technology, we constructed a molecular lock with a self-destructive mechanism. This molecular lock is mainly composed of logic circuits and takes nicking enzymes as inputs. To build this molecular lock, we first constructed a series of cascade circuits, including a YES-YES cascade circuit and a YES-AND cascade circuit. Then, an Inhibit logic gate was constructed to explore the inhibitory properties between different combinations of two nicking enzymes. Finally, using the characteristics of mutual inhibition between several enzymes, a DNA molecular lock driven by three nicking enzymes was constructed. In this molecular device, only the correct sequence of nicking enzymes can be input to ensure the normal operation of the molecular lock. Once the wrong password is entered, the device will be destroyed and cannot be recovered, which effectively prevents intruders from cracking the lock through exhaustive methods. The molecular lock has the function of simulating an electronic keyboard, which can realize the protection of information at the molecular level, and provides a new implementation method for building more advanced and complex molecular devices.
