Land use reflects human activities on *** land use is the highest level human alteration on Earth,and it is rapidly changing due to population increase and *** areas have widespread effects on local hydrology,climate,biodiversity,and food production[1,2].However,maps,that contain knowledge on the distribution,pattern and composition of various land use types in urban areas,are limited to city *** mapping standard on data sources,methods,land use classification schemes varies from city to city,due to differences in financial input and skills of mapping *** address various national and global environmental challenges caused by urbanization,it is important to have urban land uses at the national and global scales that are derived from the same or consistent data sources with the same or compatible classification systems and mapping *** is because,only with urban land use maps produced with similar criteria,consistent environmental policies can be made,and action efforts can be compared and assessed for large scale environmental ***,despite of the fact that a number of urban-extent maps exist at global scales[3,4],more detailed urban land use maps do not exist at the same *** at big country or regional levels such as for the United States,China and European Union,consistent land use mapping efforts are rare[5,6](e.g.,https://***/open_land_use/).

Room-temperature phosphorescent (RTP) carbon dots (CDs) have been fascinated by a lot of scholars because of their stable triplet excited states and environmental friendliness. Herein, novel fluorescent oxygen-enriched CDs were synthesized by a simple one-step solvothermal approach, which can be applied in cell imaging directly as a nontoxic fluorescent probe. When mixing the CDs with polyvinyl alcohol, the composite exhibits excellent RTP performance, which has the exciting prospect of applications in security protection. The observed RTP is attributed to the lone pair electrons provided by oxygen-rich functional groups of CDs. Benefitting from the n → π* transition and triplet exciton filling, the C–O–C groups of CDs play a significant role in their ultralong RTP performance. Our finding creates an avenue for advanced security protection technology based on metal-free RTP carbon nanomaterials.

In order to adapt networks and various devices, the Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding (JCTVC) develops scalable HEVC (SHVC), which is an extension of HEVC. It is important to reduce the complexity of SHVC because of its high computational time, which may not be suitable for real-time application scenarios. In this paper, we exploit the correlation between the current CU and nearby CUs to skip some unnecessary mode. Meanwhile, we also use the correlation between base layer and enhancement layer to reduce the coding complexity. Experimental results show that our proposed coding algorithm can reduce the coding complexity by 37.7%, with a slight decrease in PSNR of 0.01 dB in base layer and 0.004 dB in enhancement layer, respectively. In the meantime, the R-D performance of luma and chroma is degraded about 0.7% on average. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2017.

3D holoscopic imaging can provide immersive 3D viewing experiences, which is considered to be a promising 3D acquisition and display solution. However, in order to proper storage and delivery such particular type of image, efficient coding schemes are of great importance. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new coding scheme based on viewpoint image rendering. All the viewpoint images are rendered firstly from the 3D holoscopic contents. The total rendered viewpoint images are then arranged into a video sequence. HEVC inter coding method is utilized to remove the redundancy among the rendered viewpoint images. Experimental results show that the proposed coding scheme can achieve average 2.70 dB quality improvements for holoscopic images compared to HEVC intra standard. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2017.

3D holoscopic system can provide continuous motion parallax throughout the viewing zone with precise convergence and depth perception, for which it is regarded as a promising technique for future 3D TV. In this paper, a 3D holoscopic image coding scheme based on Gaussian mixture models (GMM) is introduced firstly, taking full advantage of the intrinsic characteristic of such particular type of content. Due to the shortcomings of GMM based method, an improved method is thereafter put forward, in which many parameters that are insignificant in the final estimator of GMM based method are avoided, and more surrounding pixels are used to obtain the model parameters with the help of the least square method. Experimental results indicate that the improved method can obtain considerable gains over HEVC intra prediction and several other prediction methods. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2017.

In this paper, the Sr-doped In 2 O 3 thin film is fabricated by aqueous route and the stability of InSrO thin film transistor under negative bias illumination stress (NBIS) is investigated. It is found that Sr can effectively improve the stability of In 2 O 3 TFTs under NBIS, which is due to the reduction of oxygen vacancies. The XPS measurement is tested to analyze the variation of oxygen vacancy concentration. The density of states is calculated to further confirm the decrease of total trap state caused by Sr doping.
