Emergence of a Complete Heavy-Quark Spin Symmetry Multiplet: Seven Molecular Pentaquarks in Light of the Latest LHCb Analysis

A recent analysis by the LHCb Collaboration suggests the existence of three narrow pentaquarklike states—the Pc(4312), Pc(4440), and Pc(4457)—instead of just one in the previous analysis [the Pc(4450)]. The closeness of the Pc(4312) to the D¯Σc threshold and the Pc(4440) and Pc(4457) to the D¯*Σc threshold suggests a molecular interpretation of these resonances. We show that these three pentaquarklike resonances can be naturally accommodated in a contact-range effective field theory description that incorporates heavy-quark spin symmetry. This description leads to the prediction of all the seven possible S-wave heavy antimeson-baryon molecules [that is, there should be four additional molecular pentaquarks in addition to the Pc(4312), Pc(4440), and Pc(4457)], providing the first example of a heavy-quark spin symmetry molecular multiplet that is complete. If this is confirmed, it will not only give us an impressive example of the application of heavy-quark symmetries and effective field theories in hadron physics, it will also uncover a clear and powerful ordering principle for the molecular spectrum, reminiscent of the SU(3)-flavor multiplets to which the light hadron spectrum conforms.

In order to effectively obtain the signal from sensor, the analogy signal needs to be amplified and then converted into a digital signal for matching to the sensor characteristics. With a supercapacitive electric field sensor based on graphene aerogel, the response current signal from the electric field sensor is weak and unstable. Herein, a high gain and low noise preamplifier is developed, and an amplifier circuit with double T-type feedback network is proposed to reduce the Johnson noise for the amplifier. This design can reduce the thermal noise of resistance by using the smaller resistance under the same gain, and it can effectively reduce the interference of peak noise by adding the feedback capacitance, so as to improve the detection accuracy. The simulation results show that under the same gain condition, the Johnson noise can be reduced by 46% and the detection accuracy can be improved by 12% compared with the traditional T-type feedback network.

Economic studies have shown that there are two types of regulation schemes which can be considered as a vital part of today's global economy: self-regulation enforced by self-regulation organizations to govern industry practices and government regulation which is considered as another scheme to sustain corporate adherence. An outstanding problem of particular interest is to understand quantitatively the role of these regulation schemes in evolutionary dynamics. Typically, punishment usually occurs for enforcement of regulations. Taking into account both types of punishments to influence the regulations, we develop a game model where six evolutionary situations with corresponding combinations of strategies are considered. Furthermore, a semianalytical method is developed to allow us to give accurate estimations of the boundaries between the phases of full defection and nondefection. We find that, associated with the evolutionary dynamics, for an infinite well-mixed population, the mix of both punishments performs better than one punishment alone in promoting public cooperation, but for a networked population the cooperator-driven punishment turns out to be a better choice. We also reveal the monotonic facilitating effects of the synergy effect, punishment fine, and feedback sensitivity on the public cooperation for an infinite well-mixed population. Conversely, for a networked population an optimal intermediate range of feedback sensitivity is needed to best promote punishers' populations. Overall, a networked structure is overall more favorable for punishers and further for public cooperation, because of both network reciprocity and mutualism between punishers and cooperators who do not punish defectors. We provide physical understandings of the observed phenomena, through a detailed statistical analysis of frequencies of different strategies and spatial pattern formations in different evolution situations. Lee, Walsh, and Wang (2015) – based on Uzzi, Mukherjee, Stringer, and Jones (2013) – and Wang, Veugelers, and Stephan (2017) proposed scores based on cited references (cited journals) data which can be used to measure the novelty of papers (named as novelty scores U and W in this study). Although previous research has used novelty scores in various empirical analyses, no study has been published up to now – to the best of our knowledge – which quantitatively tested the convergent validity of novelty scores: do these scores measure what they propose to measure? Using novelty assessments by faculty members (FMs) at F1000Prime for comparison, we tested the convergent validity of the two novelty scores (U and W). FMs’ assessments not only refer to the quality of biomedical papers, but also to their characteristics (by assigning certain tags to the papers): for example, are the presented findings or formulated hypotheses novel (tags "new findings" and "hypothesis")? We used these and other tags to investigate the convergent validity of both novelty scores. Our study reveals different results for the novelty scores: the results for novelty score U are mostly in agreement with previously formulated expectations. We found, for instance, that for a standard deviation (one unit) increase in novelty score U, the expected number of assignments of the "new finding" tag increase by 7.47%. The results for novelty score W, however, do not reflect convergent validity with the FMs’ assessments: only the results for some tags are in agreement with the expectations. Thus, we propose – based on our results – the use of novelty score U for measuring novelty quantitatively, but question the use of novelty score W. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. In recent years, with the rapid economic growth, the electric power consumption has led to a continuous increase. Besides, to adapt to the new supply and demand relationships, industrial structure has changed dramatically, and electricity consumption in different industries has changed accordingly, such as in Hebei province that boasts a large amount of traditional industries. Hence, the study of the change of electricity consumption in different industries and the correlation between them have great practical significance for monitoring changes in macroeconomic structure and aiding decision-making in power companies. This paper selected a typical county in Hebei Province and used the method of complex network and sensitive coefficient to analyze the correlation of electricity load among different industries. This paper found that the industrial structure in Bazhou county show a strong relationship with the traditional industry classification. The correlation between each industry in the same traditional industry is stronger and more stable, and it is weaker and more changeable regarding different traditional industries.

In this article, a nonlinear robust（NR） control is designed for static synchronous series compensator（SSSC） to improve transient stability and oscillation damping of power system. By taking the parameter deviations, external disturbances and unmodeled dynamics into account, the nonlinear dynamic model of SSSC can be changed into a Hamiltonian structure with the help of coordinate transformation. Based on the Hamiltonian structure of SSSC, a nonlinear robust control is designed for SSSC. Numerical simulation results on the two-area four-machine power system demonstrate the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed nonlinear robust control in comparison with the direct feedback linearization（FL） control. The study results show that the nonlinear robust control has better performance than the FL control.

This paper introduces a kind of partial-order algorithm of model-checking in finite-control mobile ambients against μ-predicate ambient logic(Ambient logic based on first-order μ-calculus). Based on Tarski's fixpoint theorem, nested predicate equations and Block Dependency Graph, a group of partial ordering relation between inter-mediate results in the process of model checking is given, and thus a kind of local model-checking algorithm is proposed. To our knowledge, this is the first algorithm which exponent of time complexity is d/2+2, the exponent of space complexity is d/2 (d is the alternate nesting depth of fixpoint operator in the formula) and this is the third model-checking algorithm for predicate ambient logic with recursion. This paper's contributions are: (1) getting a group of partial ordering relation between intermediate results in the computing process of model checking for µ-calculus first-order predicate ambient logic based on Tarski's fixpoint theorem;(2) using the partial ordering relation to design an algorithm for model checking in mobile ambients;(3) analyzing the complexity of the algorithm. © 2018 Computer Society of the Republic of China. Intelligent Manufacturing has attracted global and continuous attention recent years, with more and more intelligent devices and systems applied in production. In this paper, we take China’s manufacturing listed firms to investigate the productivity difference between intelligent and general manufacturing firms. By the Cobb-Douglas production function, we built a Coefficient-varying Model and used Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR) to estimate the time-varying trend of productivity from 2011 to 2017. The empirical results show that “Intelligent Manufacturing” has obviously promoted the Labor factor utilization efficiency and the Total Factor Productivity (TFP) through the advances in technology. But it doesn’t have universally enhancing effect of all industries. The impact of “Intelligent Manufacturing” still remains to be observed overtime.

The Novel Sensor Network Structure for Classification Processing Based on the Machine Learning Method of the ACGAN

To address the problem of unstable training and poor accuracy in image classification algorithms based on generative adversarial networks (GAN), a novel sensor network structure for classification processing using auxiliary classifier generative adversarial networks (ACGAN) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the real/fake discrimination of sensor samples in the network has been canceled at the output layer of the discriminative network and only the posterior probability estimation of the sample tag is outputted. Secondly, by regarding the real sensor samples as supervised data and the generative sensor samples as labeled fake data, we have reconstructed the loss function of the generator and discriminator by using the real/fake attributes of sensor samples and the cross-entropy loss function of the label. Thirdly, the pooling and caching method has been introduced into the discriminator to enable more ekective extraction of the classification features. Finally, feature matching has been added to the discriminative network to ensure the diversity of the generative sensor samples. Experimental results have shown that the proposed algorithm (CP-ACGAN) achieves better classification accuracy on the MNIST dataset, CIFAR10 dataset and CIFAR100 dataset than other solutions. Moreover, when compared with the ACGAN and CNN classification algorithms, which have the same deep network structure as CP-ACGAN, the proposed method continues to achieve better classification effects and stability than other main existing sensor solutions. © Sensors (Switzerland) 2019. The operating system is a complex system that includes supply and demand. Changes in external information have an impact on the operation of the system, especially on both supply and demand. This paper analyzes the supply and demand and establishes the nonlinear programming problem of system operation under the social optimal goal. With the increase of external information intervention, there will be more suitable travel fares for the demand side. However, the supply side's related operating indicators (for example, frequency, bus fleet, and vehicle capacity, etc.) have shown a trend of first increasing and then decreasing due to existing resource constraints. It can be seen that under the same information interference, there are differences in the law of change between the supply and demand sides. Besides, an example is used to verify the effectiveness of the model. Through the model and calculation examples, we can know that the supplier and the demander can meet their own needs under the social optimal goal. This provides certain theoretical support for future research information on system operation.
