Fake news often spreads rapidly on social media in various forms, exposing users to a large amount of misinformation and disinformation. Recently, promising results have been achieved in fake news detection. However, most of the approaches only consider one-hop neighborhood information in cross-modal mapping relationships or focus mainly on pairwise interactions of multimodal fake news. However, the fine-grained feature mapping of multimodal fake news may go beyond binary relations. To address these issues, we propose a Multi-Hop Attention Diffusion Graph Neural Networks in this work to capture and complement the multivariate mapping relationships between fine-grained features, while extracting cross-modal higher-order alignment representations for multimodal fake news detection via cross-modal contrastive learning and modal matching. Extensive experiments on three public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in the multimodal fake news detection task.

—Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have emerged as the potential aerial base stations (BSs) to improve terrestrial communications. However, the limited onboard energy and antenna power of a UAV restrict its communication range and transmission capability. To address these limitations, this work employs collaborative beamforming through a UAV-enabled virtual antenna array to improve transmission performance from the UAV to terrestrial mobile users, under interference from non-associated BSs and dynamic channel conditions. Specifically, we introduce a memory-based random walk model to more accurately depict the mobility patterns of terrestrial mobile users. Following this, we formulate a multi-objective optimization problem (MOP) focused on maximizing the transmission rate while minimizing the flight energy consumption of the UAV swarm. Given the NP-hard nature of the formulated MOP and the highly dynamic environment, we transform this problem into a multi-objective Markov decision process and propose an improved evolutionary multi-objective reinforcement learning algorithm. Specifically, this algorithm introduces an evolutionary learning approach to obtain the approximate Pareto set for the formulated MOP. Moreover, the algorithm incorporates a long short-term memory network and hyper-sphere-based task selection method to discern the movement patterns of terrestrial mobile users and improve the diversity of the obtained Pareto set. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively generates a diverse range of non-dominated policies and outperforms existing methods. Additional simulations demonstrate the scalability and robustness of the proposed CB-based method under different system parameters and various unexpected circumstances. © 2025 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.. Cloud service providers typically co-locate various workloads within the same production cluster to improve resource utilization and reduce operational costs. These workloads primarily consist of batch analysis jobs composed of multiple parallel short-running tasks and long-running applications (LRAs) that continuously reside in the system. The adoption of microservice architecture has led to the emergence of distributed long-running applications (DLRAs), which enhance deployment flexibility but pose challenges in detecting and investigating QoS violations due to workload variability and performance propagation across microservices. State-of-the-art resource managers are only responsible for resource allocation among applications/jobs and do not prioritize runtime QoS aspects, such as applicationlevel latency. To address this, we introduce Prank, a QoSdriven resource management framework for co-located workloads. Prank incorporates a non-intrusive performance anomaly detection mechanism for DLRAs and proposes a root cause localization algorithm based on PageRank-weighted analysis of performance anomalies. Moreover, it dynamically balances resource allocation between DLRAs and co-located batch jobs on nodes hosting critical microservices, optimizing for both DLRA performance and overall cluster efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate that Prank outperforms state-of-the-art baselines, reducing DLRA tail latency by over 38% while increasing batch job completion time by no more than 21% on average © 2013 IEEE.

Incomplete Graph Learning: A Comprehensive Survey

Graph learning is a prevalent field that operates on ubiquitous graph data. Effective graph learning methods can extract valuable information from graphs. However, these methods are non-robust and affected by missing attributes in graphs, resulting in sub-optimal outcomes. This has led to the emergence of incomplete graph learning, which aims to process and learn from incomplete graphs to achieve more accurate and representative results. In this paper, we conducted a comprehensive review of the literature on incomplete graph learning. Initially, we categorize incomplete graphs and provide precise definitions of relevant concepts, terminologies, and techniques, thereby establishing a solid understanding for readers. Subsequently, we classify incomplete graph learning methods according to the types of incompleteness: (1) attribute-incomplete graph learning methods, (2) attribute-missing graph learning methods, and (3) hybrid-absent graph learning methods. By systematically classifying and summarizing incomplete graph learning methods, we highlight the commonalities and differences among existing approaches, aiding readers in selecting methods and laying the groundwork for further advancements. In addition, we summarize the datasets, incomplete processing modes, evaluation metrics, and application domains used by the current methods. Lastly, we discuss the current challenges and propose future directions for incomplete graph learning, with the aim of stimulating further innovations in this crucial field. Referring Remote Sensing Image Segmentation (RRSIS) is critical for ecological monitoring, urban planning, and disaster management, requiring precise segmentation of objects in remote sensing imagery guided by textual descriptions. This task is uniquely challenging due to the considerable vision-language gap, the high spatial resolution and broad coverage of remote sensing imagery with diverse categories and small targets, and the presence of clustered, unclear targets with blurred edges. To tackle these issues, we propose BTDNet, a novel framework designed to bridge the vision-language gap, enhance multi-scale feature interaction, and improve fine-grained object differentiation. Specifically, BTDNet introduces: (1) the Bidirectional Spatial Correlation (BSC) for improved vision-language feature alignment, (2) the Target-Background TwinStream Decoder (T-BTD) for precise distinction between targets and non-targets, and (3) the Dual-Modal Object Learning Strategy (D-MOLS) for robust multimodal feature reconstruction. Extensive experiments on the benchmark datasets RefSegRS and RRSIS-D demonstrate that BTDNet achieves state-of-the-art performance. Specifically, BTDNet improves the overall IoU (oIoU) by 3.76 percentage points (80.57) and 1.44 percentage points (79.23) on the two datasets, respectively. Additionally, it outperforms previous methods in the mean IoU (mIoU) by 5.37 percentage points (67.95) and 1.84 percentage points (66.04), effectively addressing the core challenges of RRSIS with enhanced precision and robustness. datasets and codes are available at https://***/wzk913ysq/BAJP. The vulnerability of 3D point cloud analysis to unpredictable rotations poses an open yet challenging problem: orientation-aware 3D domain generalization. Cross-domain robustness and adaptability of 3D representations are crucial but not easily achieved through rotation augmentation. Motivated by the inherent advantages of intricate orientations in enhancing generalizability, we propose an innovative rotation-adaptive domain generalization framework for 3D point cloud analysis. Our approach aims to alleviate orientational shifts by leveraging intricate samples in an iterative learning process. Specifically, we identify the most challenging rotation for each point cloud and construct an intricate orientation set by optimizing intricate orientations. Subsequently, we employ an orientation-aware contrastive learning framework that incorporates an orientation consistency loss and a margin separation loss, enabling effective learning of categorically discriminative and generalizable features with rotation consistency. Extensive experiments and ablations conducted on 3D cross-domain benchmarks firmly establish the state-of-the-art performance of our proposed approach in the context of orientation-aware 3D domain generalization. © 2025, CC BY-NC-SA.

Emerging technologies in sixth generation (6G) of wireless communications, such as terahertz communication and ultra-massive multiple-input multiple-output, present promising prospects. Despite the high data rate potential of millimeter wave communications, millimeter wave (mmWave) communications in urban low altitude economy (LAE) environments are constrained by challenges such as signal attenuation and multipath interference. Specially, in urban environments, mmWave communication experiences significant attenuation due to buildings, owing to its short wavelength, which necessitates developing innovative approaches to improve the robustness of such communications in LAE networking. In this paper, we explore the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-carried intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) to support low altitude mmWave communication. Specifically, we consider a typical urban low altitude communication scenario where a UAV-carried IRS establishes a line-of-sight (LoS) channel between the mobile users and a source user (SU) despite the presence of obstacles. Subsequently, we formulate an optimization problem aimed at maximizing the transmission rates and minimizing the energy consumption of the UAV by jointly optimizing phase shifts of the IRS and UAV trajectory. Given the non-convex nature of the problem and its high dynamics, we propose a deep reinforcement learning-based approach incorporating neural episodic control, long short-term memory, and an IRS phase shift control method to enhance the stability and accelerate the convergence. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively resolves the problem and surpasses other benchmark algorithms in various performances. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. DeepSeek, a Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) startup, has released their V3 and R1 series models, which attracted global attention due to their low cost, high performance, and open-source advantages. This paper begins by reviewing the evolution of large AI models focusing on paradigm shifts, the mainstream large language model (LLM) paradigm, and the DeepSeek paradigm. Subsequently, the paper highlights novel algorithms introduced by DeepSeek, including multi-head latent attention (MLA), mixture-of-experts (MoE), multi-token prediction (MTP), and group relative policy optimization (GRPO). The paper then explores DeepSeek's engineering breakthroughs in LLM scaling, training, inference, and system-level optimization architecture. Moreover, the impact of DeepSeek models on the competitive AI landscape is analyzed, comparing them to mainstream LLMs across various fields. Finally, the paper reflects on the insights gained from DeepSeek's innovations and discusses future trends in the technical and engineering development of large AI models, particularly in data, training, and reasoning. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

Objective: Accurate decoding of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals has become more significant for the brain-computer interface (BCI). Specifically, motor imagery and motor execution (MI/ME) tasks enable the control of external devices by decoding EEG signals during imagined or real movements. However, accurately decoding MI/ME signals remains a challenge due to the limited utilization of temporal information and ineffective feature selection methods. Methods: This paper introduces DMSACNN, an end-to-end deep multiscale attention convolutional neural network for MI/ME-EEG decoding. DMSACNN incorporates a deep multiscale temporal feature extraction module to capture temporal features at various levels. These features are then processed by a spatial convolutional module to extract spatial features. Finally, a local and global feature fusion attention module is utilized to combine local and global information and extract the most discriminative spatiotemporal features. Main results: DMSACNN achieves impressive accuracies of 78.20%, 96.34% and 70.90% for hold-out analysis on the BCI-IV-2a, High Gamma and OpenBMI datasets, respectively, outperforming most of the state-of-the-art methods. Conclusion and significance: These results highlight the potential of DMSACNN in robust BCI applications. Our proposed method provides a valuable solution to improve the accuracy of the MI/ME-EEG decoding, which can pave the way for more efficient and reliable BCI systems.
