A joint knowledge and data-driven process monitoring approach is proposed for batch courses with multipahse characteristics. In a hot rolling mill process, there is a transition area between two batches of steel plates, which has strong time-varying characteristics. At present, the monitoring methods for the hot strip mill process usually only consider the rolling phase, and do not take the intermediate transition area into account. Firstly, a method based on summation of first-order differences is developed for multiphase partitioning. Secondly, a combined method of slow feature analysis and cointegration analysis enable to be introduced to monitor the faults in both transition phase and stable phase. The newly proposed method is applied to a real HRM *** practical performance of the application demonstrates that the proposed methodology can accurately detect failure in the HRM process.. © 2022 IEEE.

With the rapid increase in the amount of website data, it has been a more difficult task for users to get the infor-mation they are interested in. Personalized recommendation is an important bridge to find the information which users really need on the website. Many recent studies have introduced additional attribute information about users and/or items to the rating matrix for alleviating the problem of data sparsity. In order to make full use of the attribute information and scoring matrix, deep learning based recommendation methods are proposed, especially the autoencoder model has attracted much attention because of its strong ability to learn hidden features. However, most of the existing autoencoder- based models require that the dimension of the input layer is equal to the dimension of the output layer, which may increase model complexity and certain information loss when using attribute information. In addition, as users' awareness of privacy protection increases, user attribute information is difficult to obtain. To address the above problems, in this paper, we propose a hybrid personalized recommendation model, which uses a semi-autoencoder to jointly embed the item's score vector and internal graph features (short for Co-Agpre). Specifically, we regard the user-item historical interaction matrix as a bipartite graph, and the Laplacian of the user-item co-occurrence graph is utilized to obtain the graph features of the item for solving the problem of sparse attributes. Then a semi-autoencoder is introduced to learn the hidden features of the item and perform rating prediction. The proposed model can flexibly use information from different sources to reduce the complexity of the model. Experiments on two real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed Co-Agpre compared with state-of-the-art methods. © 2021 IEEE.

Research on Ammonia Detection at Room Temperature and Wide Humidity Environment Based on In2o3-Pani Porous Membrane

Semiconductor resistance sensors often face problems such as low response and long response and recovery time when detecting ammonia at room temperature (25℃). This is because traditional semiconductor oxides are not active in sensing components at room temperature, and the electron exchange reaction with ammonia is not intense, resulting in poor sensor performance. This article reports the preparation of a highly sensitive porous membrane to ammonia gas by combining conductive polymer polyaniline with oxygen rich In2O3 nanospheres. The combination of polyaniline and indium oxide not only retains the advantages of polyaniline, but also hybridizes the rich chemical active sites of In2O3, improving the response value and detection speed of the sensor. In addition, the addition of In2O3 also increases the "-N+-" content of PANI, further enhancing the performance of the sensor. The reported sensor's response and response time to 10 ppm ammonia were 5.36 and 5.4 s, respectively. In addition, the sensor can detect in high humidity environments and still has excellent detection performance. The In-PANI sensor still has a response of 3.65 to 10 ppm ammonia in an 84% RH (25℃) environment and a response time of 6.5 s. This work provides a new method for monitoring tasks in special locations that require rapid ammonia detection capabilities under high humidity conditions. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A Clustering-Based Color Reordering Method for Reversible data Hiding in Palette Images

A recent research work pointed out that the reversible data hiding algorithms proposed for gray-scale images can be implemented on the reconstructed palette images to improve embedding capacity and visual quality by reordering the color table. However, the reordering effect has a significant impact on performance improvement. Therefore, we propose a clustering-based color reordering method for reversible data hiding in palette images to improve the reordering effect and further enhance the performance. In this method, we first design a centroid initialization method to select the initial centroids and then exploit the K-means algorithm to generate (Formula presented.) clusters for the colors in the original color table. In the following, our proposed method, respectively, reorders the colors of these clusters by a greedy strategy and concatenates them into the reordered color table. Based on the relationship between the original and the reordered color tables, a novel index matrix can be reconstructed. Finally, state-of-the-art reversible data hiding algorithms can be implemented on the reconstructed index matrix for performance improvement. Since our proposed method improves the reordering effect, enhances the correlation of the reconstructed index matrix, and reduces the length of the encoded location map, the maximal embedding capacities and the visual quality under the fixed embedding capacities are improved. We conducted experiments on two image datasets and six standard images to verify that the performance improvement of our proposed reordering method is better than that of the state-of-the-art methods. © 2025 The Author(s). UAV Deployment Optimization in UAV-assisted Wireless Communications

Due to the fact that the locations of base stations (BSs) cannot be changed after they are installed, it is very difficult to communicate directly with remote user equipment (UE), which will directly affect the lifespan of the system. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) offer a hopeful solution as mobile relays for fifth-generation wireless communications due to the flexible and cost-effective deployment. However, with the limited onboard energy of UAV and slow progress in energy storage technology, it is a key challenge to achieve the energy-efficient communication. Therefore, in this article, we study a wireless communication network using a UAV as a high-altitude relay, and formulate a UAV relay deployment optimization problem (URDOP) to minimize the energy consumption of system by optimizing the deployment of UAV, including the locations and number of UAV hover points. Since the formulated URDOP is a mixed-integer programming problem, it presents a significant challenge for conventional gradient-based approaches. To this end, we propose a self-adaptive differential evolution with a variable population size (SaDEVPS) algorithm to solve the formulated URDOP. The performance of proposed SaDEVPS is verified through simulations, and the results show that it can successfully decrease the energy consumption of system when compared to other benchmark algorithms across multiple instances. Fuzzy Preference Completion with Ranked and Unranked Preferences

As for social choice, all alternatives are ranked by agents to form preferences as linear orders. However, in applications, sometimes some alternatives cannot be ranked, or it is unnecessary to rank them, which leads to unranked alternatives. Hence, without loss of generality, by dividing the set of alternatives into three ranked and unranked subsets, including top-k alternatives, intermediate-r alternatives, and last-l alternatives, the Mallows model on ranked and unranked preferences can be analyzed systematically. Technically, a repeated insertion model is adopted during sampling, and probability distributions are derived for ranked and unranked preferences of alternatives. Experimental results verify the accuracy of the probability distributions for different ranked and unranked preferences of alternatives. Furthermore, in order to solve the preference completion problem where agents have multiple partial rankings, a fuzzy preference completion algorithm, Fuzzy-Multi-Rankings, is proposed, which introduces a fuzzy ranking to complete the target agent’s preference in addition to the traditional nearest-neighbor-based methods. Based on the three ranked and unranked preferences, seven cases can be classified and analyzed for fuzzy preference completion. Experiments on the synthetic datasets and MovieLens dataset confirm the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed Fuzzy-Multi-Rankings algorithm and also verify the accuracy of the evaluated probability distributions for the proposed seven cases.

The sparse interactions between users and items have aggravated the difficulty of their representations in recommender systems. Existing methods leverage tags to alleviate the sparsity problem but ignore prevalent logical relations among items and tags (e.g., membership, hierarchy, and exclusion), which can be leveraged to enhance the accuracy of modeling user preferences and conducting recommendations. To this end, we propose to extract logical relations among item tags from existing tag taxonomies and exploit the individual strengths of the Poincaré and the Lorentz models in hyperbolic space for logical relation modeling towards enhanced recommendations. Moreover, we find that the logical relations directly extracted from existing tag taxonomies can be inaccurate and coarse. Therefore, we further devise innovative consistency-based and granularity-based weighting mechanisms based on user behavior patterns for data-driven logical relation mining that can be jointly optimized along with recommendations in an end-to-end fashion. Extensive experiments on four real-world benchmark datasets show drastic performance gains brought by our proposed framework, which constantly achieves an average of 8.25% improvement over state-of-the-art competitors regarding both Recall and NDCG metrics. Insightful case studies further demonstrate that our automatically refined logical relations are highly accurate and interpretable. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we investigate a transmission eigenvalue problem that couples the principles of acoustics and elasticity. This problem naturally arises when studying fluid-solid interactions and constructing bubbly-elastic structures to create metamaterials. We uncover intriguing local geometric structures of the transmission eigenfunctions near the corners of the domains, under typical regularity conditions. As applications, we present novel unique identifiability and visibility results for an inverse problem associated with an acoustoelastic system, which hold practical significance. © 2024, CC BY.

Drug-Drug Interaction (DDI) prediction task is helpful for better-understanding drugs. In this paper, we propose a novel drug-drug interaction prediction model based on line subgraph generation strategy, named DDI-LSG model. Our DDI-LSG model consists of three main parts which include drug relation graph construction, line subgraph generation strategy, and graph-level classification. To consider more relationships among drugs, we propose a node feature-enhancing method to encode drug features in drug relation graph construction process. To consider drugs and DDI as equivalent factors of our DDI-LSG model, we introduce line graph transformation to integrate DDI with drug feature enhancing vector. Combining Jaccard similarity with cosine similarity, we propose a line subgraph generation strategy to evaluate node relation and extract key structures around target DDI in the line graph. Then, we reformulate the DDI prediction task into a graph-level classification task for the line subgraph of the target DDI. Therefore, in the final part of our DDI-LSG model, we use a graph-level classifier to classify the line subgraphs. Our DDI-LSG model outperforms better experiment results than baselines. Ablation results have validated the node feature enhancing method and line subgraph generation strategy. © 2023 IEEE.

SwimVG: Step-wise Multimodal Fusion and Adaption for Visual Grounding

Visual grounding aims to ground an image region through natural language, which heavily relies on cross-modal alignment. Most existing methods transfer visual/linguistic knowledge separately by fully fine-tuning uni-modal pre-trained models, followed by a simple stack of visual-language transformers for multimodal fusion. However, these approaches not only limit adequate interaction between visual and linguistic contexts, but also incur significant computational costs. Therefore, to address these issues, we explore a step-wise multimodal fusion and adaption framework, namely SwimVG. Specifically, SwimVG proposes step-wise multimodal prompts (Swip) and cross-modal interactive adapters (CIA) for visual grounding, replacing the cumbersome transformer stacks for multimodal fusion. Swip can improve the alignment between the vision and language representations step by step, in a token-level fusion manner. In addition, weight-level CIA further promotes multimodal fusion by cross-modal interaction. Swip and CIA are both parameter-efficient paradigms, and they fuse the cross-modal features from shallow to deep layers gradually. Experimental results on four widely-used benchmarks demonstrate that SwimVG achieves remarkable abilities and considerable benefits in terms of efficiency.
