To improve the safety and efficiency of aviation operation, a Kalman filtered trajectory prediction algorithm based on geometric algebra is proposed in this space. Firstly, the Kalman filter equations for trajectory prediction in geometric algebraic space are given by taking position, velocity and acceleration as state variables and position, velocity and acceleration in a typical trajectory as observations. Secondly, the matrix operation in the geometric algebraic space is simplified to the matrix operation by establishing a composite geometric algebraic space. Then, the versor operator in the conformal geometric algebraic space is introduced into the Kalman filter, and the steps of geometric algebra-based Kalman filter trajectory prediction are given to improve the prediction rate and accuracy. The experimental results show that the proposed trajectory prediction algorithm has the highest accuracy and the operation efficiency is improved by 27.66 % compared with the Kalman filter algorithm in Euclidean space and the DBSCAN clustering algorithm.

Oral English practice constitutes a crucial component of English language acquisition for non-native speakers; however, traditional classroom teaching methods are increasingly insufficient to address the diverse needs of learners. This paper enhances the evaluation of pronunciation quality within Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) system. To assess the fluency of English learners' pronunciation, this paper introduces the innovative feature known as wordDurationRatio. Additionally, an intonation evaluation method utilizing dynamic time warping (DTW) algorithms is explored. Finally, this study incorporates support vector regression (SVR) algorithms to effectively fuse features, enhancing the assessment result of pronunciation quality.

High-frequency time-series data such as vibration signals will consume a lot of communication resources and require very high network bandwidth. Reducing the amount of data transmission while ensuring its availability is particularly important and challenging in high-frequency scenarios. Dual prediction scheme (DPS) can significantly reduce the amount of data transmission while ensuring data accuracy. However, traditional DPS cannot be applied to high-frequency scenarios due to the limitation of the mechanism design and model inference speed. We propose a novel long sequence DPS to efficiently reduce the volume of high-frequency data transmission in real time. To overcome the accuracy degradation due to gradient vanishing in long sequence prediction, we also propose an attention-based prediction model. Furthermore, we propose Informer to reduce the model’s computational complexity and enable fast inference and deployment on resource-constrained edge gateways. Experiments based on the real-world dataset show that the proposed scheme can efficiently cope with high-frequency data, reduce its transmission volume, and ensure data accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

As the demand for volunteer services grows, enhancing the efficiency and management of these services has become a key issue. This paper explores methods of integrating intelligent scheduling management functions with volunteer service systems to optimize volunteer time management and task allocation. By analyzing existing volunteer service systems, we propose a novel system framework that integrates intelligent scheduling management. This framework updates volunteer schedules in real- time, automatically matches tasks with volunteers' time windows, and optimizes task distribution using smart algorithms. Experimental results show that volunteer service systems with integrated intelligent scheduling management significantly improve task allocation accuracy and volunteer satisfaction. This research provides new ideas and practical basis for the intelligent development of volunteer services.

Nuclei segmentation is a fundamental and critical step in digital pathological image analysis. Fully supervised nuclei segmentation requires a lot of pixel-by-pixel manual annotation by pathologists, which is very time-consuming and laborious. To minimize the labeling burden of pathologists, this paper uses only point annotations of nuclei data for weakly supervised learning. Specifically, a two-stage model named EOFD-Net with feature denoising and edge optimization is proposed. In the first stage, three weak labels (K-means cluster labels, Voronoi labels, and superpixel labels) with complementary information are used to train the encoder-decoder network to achieve coarse segmentation of nuclei. A feature denoising module(FDM) is designed in the encoder part, which can effectively reduce noise interference. In the second stage, we designed an edge optimization strategy using the prior knowledge of the trained model in the first stage. Confident learning is employed to denoise pseudo-label and rectify the mislabel. These optimized labels are input into the second stage to obtain the final segmentation results. The performance of our method outperforms current state-of-the-art methods on two publicly nuclei segmentation datasets, MoNuSeg and TNBC.

Text-to-image pedestrian retrieval involves querying a database of images based on a given textual description to find matching images. The main challenge lies in learning how to map visual and textual patterns to a common latent space. This paper improves upon the implicit learning inference framework based on the CLIP model, aiming to learn the relationship between images and text and enhance overall text-image matching. Through text matching learning, fine-grained detail representation learning is promoted. First, a masked language modeling paradigm is designed within the implicit relationship inference module. Then, cross-modal interaction is achieved through the modality alignment module using decomposable attention. Feed aligned image and text features into a multimodal synergy encoder to achieve cross modal interaction, and train the model using distribution consistency loss and ID loss. The improved method achieves better results on the RSTPReid public dataset, with the Rank-1 accuracy improving by approximately 3% compared to existing methods.

This article proposes a multi-agent deep reinforce-ment learning algorithm to control a fleet of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) that encircle and capture sea targets. First, a simulation environment for USVs is established based on a dynamic model;two-dimensional control variables are used to control movements in three directions. Second, the multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (MADDPG) algorithm is employed to achieve intelligent control of the USVs, using a reward function based on certain prior knowledge. Finally, centralized training and decentralized execution are used to complete the offline learning of multiple agents, and continuous action decisions are made based on the observations of the USV sensors. Simulations demonstrate that the method can capture stationary moving sea targets with any number of multi-agents under disturbances, and exhibits strong robustness and practicality. © 2023 IEEE.

Due to the non-stationarity and large individual differences of EEG signals, EEG-based brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) usually need subject-specific calibration to tailor the decoding algorithm for each new subject, which is time-consuming and user-unfriendly, hindering their real-world applications. Transfer learning (TL) has been extensively used to expedite the calibration, by making use of EEG data from other subjects/sessions. An important consideration in TL for EEG-based BCIs is to reduce the data distribution discrepancies among different subjects/session, to avoid negative transfer. Euclidean alignment (EA) was proposed in 2020 to address this challenge. Numerous experiments from 10 different BCI paradigms demonstrated its effectiveness and efficiency. This paper revisits the EA, explaining its procedure and correct usage, introducing its applications and extensions, and pointing out potential new research directions. It should be very helpful to BCI researchers, especially those who are working on EEG signal decoding. © 2025, CC BY.

In order to provide sufficient reaction time for air traffic controllers and pilots, a Flight Conflict Detection Algorithm (FCDA) based on Cylindrical Protection Zone (CPZ) in the Conformal Geometric Algebra (CGA) is proposed. Initially, the CGA description of the CPZ is represented by using the CGA forms of the central circle and central axis segments of the cylinder. Then based on the inner and outer product and geometric product operations of CGA, the positional relationship of the two CPZs is judged to determine whether a flight conflict occurs or not. Subsequently, we compared the performance of flight conflict detection methods based on rectangular protection zones, spherical protection zones, and cylindrical protection zones through experiments in CGA and Euclidean space, respectively, the experimental results show that in CGA, the proposed method has a faster speed than the flight conflict method based on cuboids, and is basically equivalent to the method based on spherical protection zones. Significantly, all CGA-based methodologies demonstrated superior speed over their Euclidean space counterparts. Considering the propensity of rectangular and spherical zones to elicit false alarms due to their expansive coverage of airspace, the CGA-CPZ-FCDA method emerges as the superior choice.

This research is driven by the growing need for efficient, scalable object detection in smart home applications with real-time performance and resource constraints. In this study, we utilize the YOLOv8 deep learning model for household item detection, focusing on its performance in real-time scenarios. We compare different versions of YOLOv8—specifically, YOLOv8n, YOLOv8s, and YOLOv8m—using a preprocessed custom dataset. The results indicate that YOLOv8n stands out due to its lower parameter count and faster inference speed, making it ideal for real-time applications, even though it has slightly lower precision and recall. In contrast, while YOLOv8s and YOLOv8m show improvements in certain metrics, their higher computational demands limit their effectiveness in resource-constrained settings. Overall, YOLOv8n effectively balances speed and accuracy, offering a viable solution for household item detection.
