Spatial audio is an important component of the metaverse. With the rapid increase of the spatial resolution and the number of objects, the data volume of the spatial side information has grown larger. However, the low bit rate transmission of spatial side information in the object-based audio coding methods leads to the low-quality reconstruction of spatial side information with limited bandwidth. To address this issue, this paper constructs a cascade design of spatial audio coding and unequal error protection (UEP) rateless codes. Furthermore, the further protection of specific spatial side information is proposed for different scenarios, which effectively addresses the limitation of traditional spatial audio coding in side information protection. For the situation where the code length K of different importance levels is different, we propose an adaptive degree distribution (ADD), adding K to the selection probability as an influencing factor, which has better performance than other degree distribution for short code length. ADD is used to replace the multiple degree distribution strategy of the traditional unequal error protection scheme, and the block error rate (BER) is reduced nearly 10 times compared with the traditional scheme. © 2024 IEEE.

Aims: The paper is concerned with the problem of robust H∞ output feedback control for photovoltaic nonlinear system. Background: The PV systems are built to transform sun irradiance into electrical power. The dc-dc converters, such as buck type, boost type, and buck-boost type, have been widely implemented in the PV systems. Linear controllers for dc-dc converters are often designed based on mathematical models. To get a desired performance objective, an accurate model is essential. Objective: There has been increasing interest in the scheme of digital controller design for dc-dc converters. However, most of the research efforts are focused on the representation based on the standard forward-shift operator approach, which are of inherently ill-conditioned when datum are taken at high sampling rates. Compared with the forward-shift operator, the delta operator has many virtues which can be applied as a better representation of the underlying physical model under high sampling rates. Despite the delta operator possessing the superior high sample rate performance has been recognized in the past two decades, there exists little literature discussing the analysis and syn-thesis of photovoltaic nonlinear systems by using delta operator fuzzy control method, which moti-vates us to make an effort in this topic. Methods: We propose a Fuzzy Dynamic Output Feedback (FDOF) controller, and introduce a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii Functional (LKF) in delta domain, the framework of robust H∞ output feedback control is investigated. Results: Sufficient conditions are derived for the existence of the desired FDOF controllers in terms of Linear-Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). A numerical example is used to illustrate the design procedure of the present method. Conclusion: This paper has studied the problems of robust H∞ output feedback control for photo-voltaic nonlinear system with interval time-varying delay and parametric uncertainties. Due to difficulties in observing crystal state and the high cost of crystal preparation, the teaching of the Czochralski single crystal silicon production is complex. To solve the above problem, a digital twins-inspired virtual simulation system for the growth of single crystal silicon was developed. The 3D models of the single crystal furnace, single crystal silicon rods, and other related objects were created using Blender. The nonlinear model of the single crystal silicon growth process was established based on the heat conduction during crystal growth and geometric deformation. The 3D models were then imported into the web page using ***. The PID control algorithm was used to control the temperature and pulling speed, and finally, the B/S architecture was adopted to design and implement the virtual simulation experiment system for the growth of Czochralski single crystal silicon. The virtual simulation method will help to overcome the shortcomings of on-site experiment teaching and enhance students’ understanding of the entire single crystal silicon preparation process.

With the continuous development of construction technology and computer technology, in order to meet the needs of concrete quality management, a real-time monitoring information system based on computer vision is established. The identification label is added to the concrete specimen to prevent the exchange of concrete specimens. According to the needs of the application scene, this paper proposes a new feature point extraction algorithm based on Harris. By improving the positioning accuracy of feature points, it can avoid the interference of background noise points or feature points in unclear focus area on feature matching and the calculation of projection matrix;and a few feature points are used to calibrate the camera, which overcomes the problem that the traditional camera calibration method needs to make a calibration board. Experiments show that the algorithm proposed in this paper has good stability to illumination, camera angle and distractors, and is flexible in application. © 2022 IEEE.

As one of the extremely important components on the transmission tower, the insulator has two functions of electrical insulation and wire fixing, which directly affects the operation of the power system. Defects in insulators can impair the service life of transmission lines. UAV aerial photography of electric power towers has problems such as small number of defective insulator samples, small area, large aspect ratio of insulator strings, and variable inclination angle, coupled with the influence of environmental factors such as light, interference, distance, etc., which lead to low detection accuracy of insulator defects. Aiming at the above problems, an improved YOLOv5 insulator defect detection algorithm is proposed. First, screen the aerial images and use data augmentation to obtain a sufficient number of defective insulator images to enrich the dataset and avoid model overfitting. Secondly, the convolutional attention module CBAM is introduced to improve the expression ability of defect insulator features and strengthen the network's ability to identify targets. Finally, the Leaky ReLU activation function of the hidden layer of the original YOLOv5 algorithm is replaced by the Mish function to improve the generalization ability of the network. The experimental results show that compared with the original YOLOv5 algorithm, the average precision mAP (IOU=0.5) of the improved algorithm is increased by 7.8%, which effectively improves the problems of false detection and missed detection in the original algorithm. Compared with other mainstream object detection algorithms, the algorithm proposed in this paper has better detection effect on insulator defects. © 2022 SPIE.

Platoon control of autonomous industrial vehicles contributes to improving the safety and reliability of cargo transportation in complex industrial scenarios, increasing traffic efficiency and saving energy. The platoon control of autonomous heavy-load industrial vehicles is much harder, as the high robustness requirements, low hardware ability and complex un-structural environments. This paper considers the platoon control task from the view-point of practical industrial applications. Firstly, the longitudinal dynamic model of the heavy-load industrial vehicle is transferred into a first-order damping acceleration response model by introducing the low-level feedback linearization control and compensations. Secondly, the synchronization control concept is introduced and a fully distributed control law is presented, which only requires the coupling information of the two nearest neighbors. In particular, in order to ensure the practical applicability, the information processing delays, data samplings and external control disturbances are explicitly modelled and the global stability analysis approach is presented. Finally, we provide real experiments using full-scale industrial heavy-load vehicles to demonstrate our effectiveness and robustness. © 2022 IEEE.

Large-scale datasets with point-wise semantic and instance labels are crucial to 3D instance segmentation but also expensive. To leverage unlabeled data, previous semi-supervised 3D instance segmentation approaches have explored self-training frameworks, which rely on high-quality pseudo labels for consistency regularization. They intuitively utilize both instance and semantic pseudo labels in a joint learning manner. However, semantic pseudo labels contain numerous noise derived from the imbalanced category distribution and natural confusion of similar but distinct categories, which leads to severe collapses in self-training. Motivated by the observation that 3D instances are non-overlapping and spatially separable, we ask whether we can solely rely on instance consistency regularization for improved semi-supervised segmentation. To this end, we propose a novel self-training network InsTeacher3D to explore and exploit pure instance knowledge from unlabeled data. We first build a parallel base 3D instance segmentation model DKNet, which distinguishes each instance from the others via discriminative instance kernels without reliance on semantic segmentation. Based on DKNet, we further design a novel instance consistency regularization framework to generate and leverage high-quality instance pseudo labels. Experimental results on multiple large-scale datasets show that the InsTeacher3D significantly outperforms prior state-of-the-art semi-supervised approaches. Non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) estimates the energy usage of individual devices by analyzing the total power meter data from a household. To address the issue of decreased monitoring accuracy with an increasing number of electricity meters, this paper proposes a solution for single appliance load monitoring (Tra-CNN). The solution uses the UK-DALE dataset, which contains high and low frequencies electricity consumption data of multiple households in the UK and the electricity consumption data of each household appliance, and uses the active power of the appliance as the input of the algorithm. The first part of the model consists of a convolutional layer, a normalization layer, and a dropout layer, with the primary task of capturing local dependencies in the data. The second part consists of a Transformer, whose self-attention mechanism associates features at different positions in the sequence to achieve modeling of long-term dependencies. The third part introduces a convolutional neural network, which uses a sliding window for convolution operations to extract local features from different positions and further extract features from sequence data. The final decoder consists of a transposed convolutional layer and a normalization layer, designed to revert the learned features to their original dimensions. Through experimental verification, the effectiveness and superiority of Tra-CNN are shown, which provides important ideas and methods for the further development of NILM technology.

With the rapid development of the manufacturing industry, traditional control systems can no longer meet the requirements of flexibility, efficiency, and intelligence for smart manufacturing. In order to fully utilize technologies such as microservices and enhance the flexibility of smart manufacturing, we propose a microservice-based architecture integrating sensing, communication, computation, and control, dedicated to achieving integrated management and configuration of the production process. In this architecture, each production stage is designed as an independent microservice, capable of being flexibly deployed in various edge controllers. Therefore, a universal edge controller can simultaneously act as a PLC, router, data acquisition device, and edge server, greatly simplifying the complexity of equipment deployment. The microservice-based integrated architecture not only improves the efficiency of data routing but also helps simplify the integration of new sensors and actuators, making adjustments of production lines more convenient, thereby enhancing the scalability and flexibility of the system. We implemented the proposed architecture based on a validation scenario, and the experimental results demonstrate the enormous development potential of this architecture.

The study primarily delves into addressing the data filtering challenge inherent in the silicon single crystal growth process by proposing a multi-sensor integrated detection approach. This approach is designed to alleviate the diminished filtering accuracy resulting from the reliance on a single sensor and the conventional Kalman filtering algorithm. By utilizing an enhanced adaptive Kalman filtering algorithm and the maximum likelihood estimation criterion to incorporate the innovation variance directly into the gain calculation of the Kalman filter, dynamic adjustment of the estimation model is achieved while interference from system noise and measurement noise is reduced. Finally, simulation-based comparative experiments between the adaptive and conventional Kalman filtering algorithms are performed. The results show that the performance of the adaptive Kalman filtering algorithm is superior to that of the conventional Kalman filtering algorithm in terms of accuracy and stability when detecting signals from multiple sensors. The research findings furnish dependable data support for refining the decision-making process in crystal growth technology, augmenting the precision and scientific integrity of crystal safety production scheduling and decision-making endeavors.
