To tackle the multi-objective problem in the process of tandem cold rolling, a mathematical model of multi-object optimization is presented. Taking equal relatively power and prevent slippage as objective functions. Aiming to the problem of Standard Genetic Algorithm (SGA), such as premature convergence, oscillation and over-randomization in iterative process, an Improved Adaptive Genetic Algorithm (IAGA) is applied to optimize the system. The algorithm decides the crossover rate and mutation rate of chromosome based on individual adaptive value in calculation process, make the start phase mutate obviously and later phase stable slowly and ensure the population development, seeking balance and entire convergence. Simulated results show that, in comparison with the actual rolling schedule, the optimization rolling schedule makes the reasonable distribution of tandem cold rolling power, gives the full play to equipment capacity, reduces the rate of slippage, improves the product quality, and the proposed method is demonstrated to be competent.

Hoisting system is the key part of the girder hoister, and its reliability determines the stability and security of the girder hoister directly. Hoisting system consists of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components. Owing to the multiple and complex failure modes and mechanisms of the components, the hoisting system's reliability evaluation is accomplished by Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) based on T-S model. Failure probabilities can be described as fuzzy possibilities and fault degrees are expressed in terms of fuzzy numbers, while events' relationships are described by T-S gates instead of conventional logic gates. A method to acquire knowledge about the premise and consequent events is given, in terms of fuzzy rules of T-S gates made up of fuzzy possibilities and fault degrees of components. Fuzzy possibilities of the intermediate events and the top event are computed by MATLAB, in terms of information about field experiences and expert data. Considering the influence of fault degrees to the system at the same time, it offers reference to find and improve relevant weaknesses of the system, thus the dependability of the whole hoisting system is improved.

Based on multi-machine excitation control models, using fuzzy adaptive theory and considering the multi-machine nonlinear system whose states are not available, observer-based adaptive fuzzy output feed back control schemes are proposed. In this paper, the ant colony algorithm is used to optimize the fuzzy control rules. Cement rotary kiln thermal process can be viewed as an uncertain and complex temperature system with multivariable, strong coupling and time delays. The performance of combustion process control system will directly affect the quality of cement clinker, so it is necessary to control the temperature of every part in the kiln strictly in order to ensure the quality of cement clinker. A multivariable decoupling Fuzzy-Smith predictive control algorithm is presented to the mathematical model of controlled plant of the cement rotary kiln temperature multivariable coupling system with time delays. According to the controlled plant model of system, a decoupling controller is firstly designed to the multivariable coupling system with time delays in this algorithm, then a Smith prediction control structure is formed according to the decoupled nominal model, and two-channel Fuzzy-PI controllers are developed. At last the simulation results show that this algorithm has a good control performance to achieve obvious decoupling between outputs and has a strong robustness.

The frequency-domain criteria for the nonexistence of the second periodic solutions of the pendulum-like systems with MIMO can be converted to the time-domain criteria with the KYP lemma. By applying the frequency-domain criteria the method of the state-feedback controller design and the state-feedback controller design based on the state observer design is investigated. Van der pol function is a typical mathematical model of mechanics, physics and electronics. The function can simulate many kinds of nonlinear dynamical system in practical systems by adjusting the parameter. In this paper, we investigate the synchronization of a class of dynamical complex network which is composed of Van der pol oscillators. Based on the Lyapunov method, some sufficient conditions about single Van der Pol function and a network which is formed by N Van der Pol oscillators are established to guarantee global synchronization of dynamical networks with complex topology. Finally numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
