G-mixing and G-equicontinuity have an important significance in terms of theory and application. According to the definition of mixing and equicontinuity, we give the concept of G-mixing and G-equicontinuity in this paper. By inference, some conclusions of the hyperspace were extended to the hyperspace of topological group action. We have the following result: (1)Let (K,H, f̅,G) be the hyperspace of (X, d, G, f) and f : X → X be a pseudo equivariant map. All non-empty open set are invariable for G . If f is a G-mixing map, then f̅ is a G-mixing map; (2)Let (K,H, f̅,G) be the hyperspace of (X,d,G, f) and f : X → X be a equivariant map. Then f is a G-mild mixing map if and only if f̅ is a G-mild mixing map;(3)Let (K,H, f̅,G) be the hyperspace of (X,d,G, f) and f :X → X be a equivariant map. Then f is a G-equicontinuity map if and only if f̅ is a Gequicontinuity map. These results enriched the theory of the G-mixing and G-equicontinuity on the hyperspace of topological group action.

Facial expression, powerful non-verbal signals, contains abundant personal information and social communication information. Accurately identifying these signals is critical to the success of interpersonal communication. Studies have shown that both children and adults tend to confuse surprise with fear rather than sadness, anger, or disgust. However, the studies of fear and surprise expression recognition using network pattern based on MEG is only a few. In this study, we monitored the brain activity of 6 subjects as they perform a recognition task of fear and surprise, and subsequently constructed a network of brain functional connections. By using rank sum test and random forest, the most discriminative and representative 6 FCs from 2278 FCs were selected. The group of these 6 FCs can give a best prediction performance of 78.56%. Additionally, we also found that people tend to refer to surprise as fear when distinguishing between fear and surprise.

The expansion property and chain mixing property have an important significance in terms of theory and application. The concept of the expansion property and chain mixing property are introduced in this paper. We study their dynamical properties. The following result are obtained: (1) Let (K , G) be the hyperspace of (K , G). If (K , G) is expansive, then (K , G) is expansive; (2) Let (K , G) be the hyperspace of (K , G) . If (K , G) is chain mixing, then (K , G) is chain mixing; (3) Let (K , G) be the hyperspace of (K , G) . If (K , G) is chain transitive, then (K , G) is chain transitive; These results enriched the theory of the expansion property and chain mixing property of topological group.

Dielectric fluids, including polymers, oils, and organic solvents, are integral to applications such as microreactors, optical devices, and thermal management systems due to their stability and resistance to evaporation. However, precise manipulation of dielectric droplets, especially those with high viscosity, remains challenging due to low surface tension and small contact angles. This study introduces a novel corona discharge-driven platform designed for the precise formation, transport, and control of dielectric droplets on one-dimensional copper wires. Utilizing dual needle-tip electrodes, the system generates localized electric fields that facilitate non-contact charge deposition, enabling reliable manipulation of droplets with viscosities up to 30,000 cSt. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate synchronized droplet movement with electrode motion, effective handling of complex geometries, and advanced operations such as droplet merging and splitting. Moreover, dielectric droplets are utilized as micro-containers for performing on-droplet chemical and biological assays. The platform also enables efficient aspiration and release of high-viscosity dielectric fluids, surpassing the capabilities of conventional pipette-based methods. These results highlight the platform’s robustness, versatility, and strong potential for integration into next-generation microfluidic and lab-on-a-chip systems.

MG-MotionLLM: A Unified Framework for Motion Comprehension and Generation across Multiple Granularities

Recent motion-aware large language models have demonstrated promising potential in unifying motion comprehension and generation. However, existing approaches primarily focus on coarse-grained motion-text modeling, where text describes the overall semantics of an entire motion sequence in just a few words. This limits their ability to handle fine-grained motion-relevant tasks, such as understanding and controlling the movements of specific body parts. To overcome this limitation, we pioneer MG-MotionLLM, a unified motion-language model for multi-granular motion comprehension and generation. We further introduce a comprehensive multi-granularity training scheme by incorporating a set of novel auxiliary tasks, such as localizing temporal boundaries of motion segments via detailed text as well as motion detailed captioning, to facilitate mutual reinforcement for motion-text modeling across various levels of granularity. Extensive experiments show that our MG-MotionLLM achieves superior performance on classical text-to-motion and motion-to-text tasks, and exhibits potential in novel fine-grained motion comprehension and editing tasks. Energy efficiency basically refers to how effectively energy can be utilised or consumed by any virtualised data centre giving cloud administrations. Since Genetic Algorithm (GA) is an acceptable method to solve the VM placement problem, this research formulates the Virtual Machine (VM) placement problem as a constrained optimisation problem. A considerable amount of residual resources is available for each new VM allocation, however they are distributed across multiple active PMs, rendering them inefficient. Our research focuses on improving a data centre’s energy and time efficiency by devising a technique to decrease PM’s residual resources and make them more valuable. As the most time consuming element of a GA is calculating the fitness function, this paper presents a new fitness function to simplify the fitness function calculation in GA. The results are compared to the standard GA and First Fit Decreasing (FFD) algorithm. The findings reveals a 8% energy savings for our GA compared to FFD and a 66% reduction in our GA execution time compared to the standard GA for virtualised data centres. The simulation experiments are conducted on small-, medium- and large-scale of the google data centre to demonstrate the effectiveness of our GA. © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Water is the source of life and the correct assessment of water resources is an important prerequisite for the rational utilisation of water resources. In this paper, water resources are evaluated and predicted by three different algorithms, including Bat Algorithm (BA), Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO) and Pigeon-Inspired Optimisation (PIO). Comparing the errors of water resources assessed for the three algorithms, we select an algorithm of the minimum error to predict the future water demand. In the experiments, firstly, the water data from 2003 to 2012 are used to find the optimal weights of the models. Then, the weight factor is combined with the given model to gain the error between predicted value and the remaining data (2013–2015). Finally, the simulation results show that PIO algorithm has a better performance compared with the BA and PSO algorithms. Copyright © 2019 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

We theoretically propose the realization of a three-dimensional (3D) spin Hall effect (SHE) of light by tightly focusing a linearly polarized light. Owing to the spin-orbital interaction in focusing, the left and right circularly polarized components of light are partly converted into each other, acquiring opposite vortex phases. As the superposition of the vortex and the initial vortex-free light, the two polarized components exhibit spiral intensity patterns which rotate oppositely around the propagation axis. Consequently, the two spin components are distributed alternatively in both the azimuthal and the longitudinal directions, leading to a 3D array of split spin components, and the transverse intensity is also spit asynchronously. Moreover, that array is rotatable by the incident polarization, and the longitudinal spacing in the array can be controlled by the numerical aperture of the lens. The 3D SHE of light finds an additional degree of freedom available to control the spin state of the photon, which may be valuable in optical manipulation and quantum information.

The high temperature events are frequently occurred due to global climate change, which is harmful to human existence, social and economic development, water resources and ecologic environment. The goal is to improve the ability of coping extreme weather events for the whole society and promote the sustainable development of national economy. Based on the self-organized critical and previous research, this paper explored the frequency-intensity distribution of temperature change satisfied Gutenberg-Richter power-law relation. Then, a numerical sandpile model with decay coefficient is constructed to reveal inherent dynamic mechanism of high temperature events based on the idea of sand model. The study on occurring mechanism, temporal evolution and inherent dynamic behavior of high temperature events, which could provide the scientific basis and important reference for effective establishing all kinds of emergency plan such as extreme weather disaster prevention, mitigation and relief. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. By considering all the three parameters describing Pythagorean fuzzy set, we introduce a new technique of computing correlation coefficient between Pythagorean fuzzy sets from statistical perspective. The correlation coefficient value obtain via this technique shows strength of correlation between the Pythagorean fuzzy sets and indicates whether the Pythagorean fuzzy sets under consideration are related negatively or positively in contrast to other existing correlation coefficient approaches in Pythagorean fuzzy context, which only assess the strength of relationship. Certain numerical examples are considered to ascertain the authenticity of this method over similar techniques studied in intuitionistic/Pythagorean fuzzy contexts. Some pattern recognition problems are resolved with the aid of the new technique. For higher productivity sake, this technique could be approached from an object-oriented perspective.
