Let D is a strong oriented graph, the strong distance sd(u, v) is the number of arcs of D containing u and v. For a vertex v of D, the strong eccentricity se(v) is the strong distance between v and a vertex farthest from v. The strong radius srad(D) is the minimum strong eccentricity among the vertices of D. The minimum strong radius srad(G) of a graph D is the minimum strong radius over all strong orientations of G. And G1 ⊗ G2 denote the strong product of graphs G1 and G2. In this paper, according to the order of paths we give the result of the minimum strong radius of the strong product of paths, and propose a new directed network design method. © 2023 SPIE.

A double-layer stacked patch filtering antenna with broadband circular polarization performance is proposed in this paper. The main patch consists of a corner-Truncated square patch with two shorting pins. The designed two shorting pins are located in the main patch and the upper stacked patch structure are introduced and designed, which can gain two radiation nulls for realizing the filtering effect of the proposed antenna. The circularly polarized (CP) operation is realized by corner-Truncated square patch. In addition, to increase the axial ratio (AR) bandwidth, a rectangular slot is carved on the ground plane. The simulated results indicate that the researched antenna can provide the impedance bandwidth of 20.58% (2.68-3.29 GHz) and AR bandwidth of 9.5% (2.80-3.08 GHz). Moreover, The average realized gain of the simulation is 6.48 dBic over bandwidth. © 2024 IEEE.

Spectral computed tomography (Spectral CT) has attracted more and more attention because of its ability of material discrimination. However, as the number of materials increases, it becomes more difficult to decompose the material according to the polychromatic projection. This paper presents a direct multi-material reconstruction method, in which a deep convolutional neural network (CNN)-based prior is incorporated into the optimization model. The efficient iterative algorithm is designed under the framework of the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). The numerical experiments further validate the superiority of the proposed method in multi-material reconstruction and noise suppression. © 2022 ACM.

Diffusion models (DMs) have demonstrated remarkable proficiency in producing images based on textual prompts. Numerous methods have been proposed to ensure these models generate safe images. Early methods attempt to incorporate safety filters into models to mitigate the risk of generating harmful images but such external filters do not inherently detoxify the model and can be easily bypassed. Hence, model unlearning and data cleaning are the most essential methods for maintaining the safety of models, given their impact on model parameters. However, malicious fine-tuning can still make models prone to generating harmful or undesirable images even with these methods. Inspired by the phenomenon of catastrophic forgetting, we propose a training policy using contrastive learning to increase the latent space distance between clean and harmful data distribution, thereby protecting models from being fine-tuned to generate harmful images due to forgetting. The experimental results demonstrate that our methods not only maintain clean image generation capabilities before malicious fine-tuning but also effectively prevent DMs from producing harmful images after malicious fine-tuning. Our method can also be combined with other safety methods to maintain their safety against malicious fine-tuning further.

Constructing visual encoding model is an important way to understand the human visual system. Data-driven encoding models learn features by directly fitting neural data, providing novel insights for visual encoding. Prediction accuracy is an important performance goal of visual encoding. The GaborNet visual encoding (GaborNet-VE) model has both good expressiveness and interpretability, while its prediction performance still needs to be improved. In this work, we proposed an improved GaborNet-VE model by adding data augmentation and nonlinear mapping module. The experimental results show that the improved GaborNet-VE model achieves higher prediction accuracy in V2, V3, V4 and LO. Our research provides a new framework for the data-driven encoding model. © 2022 IEEE.

Preserving details and avoiding high computational costs are the two main challenges for the High-Resolution Salient Object Detection (HRSOD) task. In this paper, we propose a two-stage HRSOD model from the perspective of evolution and succession, including an evolution stage with Low-resolution Location Model (LrLM) and a succession stage with High-resolution Refinement Model (HrRM). The evolution stage achieves detail-preserving salient objects localization on the low-resolution image through the evolution mechanisms on supervision and feature;the succession stage utilizes the shallow high-resolution features to complement and enhance the features inherited from the first stage in a lightweight manner and generate the final high-resolution saliency prediction. Besides, a new metric named Boundary-Detail-aware Mean Absolute Error (MAEBD) is designed to evaluate the ability to detect details in high-resolution scenes. Extensive experiments on five datasets demonstrate that our network achieves superior performance at real-time speed (49 FPS) compared to state-of-the-art methods. Disaggregated memory (DM) is a widely discussed datacenter architecture in academia and industry. It decouples computing and memory resources from monolithic servers into two network-connected resource pools. Range indexes are widely adopted by storage systems on DM to efficiently locate and query remote data. However, existing range indexes on DM suffer from either high computing-side cache consumption or high memory-side read amplifications. In this paper, we propose CHIME, a hybrid index combining B+ trees with hopscotch hashing, to achieve low cache consumption and low read amplifications simultaneously. There are three challenges in constructing CHIME on DM, i.e., the complicated optimistic synchronization, the extra metadata access, and the read amplifications introduced by hopscotch hashing. CHIME leverages 1) a three-level optimistic synchronization scheme to synchronize read and write operations with various granularities, 2) an access-aggregated metadata management technique to eliminate extra metadata accesses by piggybacking and replicating metadata, and 3) an effective hotness-aware speculative read mechanism to mitigate the read amplifications of hopscotch hashing. Experimental results show that CHIME outperforms the state-of-the-art range indexes on DM by up to 5.1× with the same cache size and achieves similar performance with up to 8.7× lower cache consumption. © 2024 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s). Detecting human key points from a single image is very challenging due to occlusion, blurring, illumination and scale changes. In this paper, this problem is addressed by designing an effective network structure. Since global and local information plays an important role in reasoning about human body structure and invisible keypoints, Multi-level Attention Network (MAN) is proposed. First, compared with traditional multi-resolution networks, it enables multi-resolution feature maps with greater information variance by generating them directly from the highest resolution feature map, which in turn increases the abundance of feature information after final fusion. Secondly, it effectively integrates global and local information in different resolution feature maps through the Feature Alignment Attention Block(FAAB), and intensifies them in a targeted manner. On the COCO dataset, with HRNet (Sun K. et al [1]) as the baseline network, HRNet of inserted MAN improves 1.1-2.3 AP points over the baseline network. © 2022 IEEE.

The random walk is one of the most basic dynamic properties of complex networks,which has gradually become a research hotspot in recent years due to its many applications in actual *** important characteristic of the random walk is the mean time to absorption,which plays an extremely important role in the study of topology,dynamics and practical application of complex *** the mean time to absorption on the regular iterative self-similar network models is an important way to explore the inﬂuence of self-similarity on the properties of random walks on the *** existing literatures have proved that even local self-similar structures can greatly affect the properties of random walks on the global network,but they have failed to prove whether these effects are related to the scale of these self-similar *** this article,we construct and study a class of Horizontal Par-titioned Sierpinski Gasket network model based on the classic Sierpinski gasket net-work,which is composed of local self-similar structures,and the scale of these structures will be controlled by the partition coefﬁcient ***,the analytical expressions and approximate expressions of the mean time to absorption on the network model are obtained,which prove that the size of the self-similar structure in the network will directly restrict the inﬂuence of the self-similar structure on the properties of random walks on the ***,we also analyzed the mean time to absorption of different absorption nodes on the network toﬁnd the location of the node with the highest absorption efﬁciency.

Dataset bias has attracted increasing attention recently for its detrimental effect on the generalization ability of fine-tuned models. The current mainstream solution is designing an additional shallow model to pre-identify biased instances. However, such two-stage methods scale up the computational complexity of training process and obstruct valid feature information while mitigating bias. To address this issue, we utilize the representation normalization method which aims at disentangling the correlations between features of encoded sentences. We find it also promising in eliminating the bias problem by providing isotropic data distribution. We further propose Kernel-Whitening, a Nyström kernel approximation method to achieve more thorough debiasing on nonlinear spurious correlations. Our framework is end-to-end with similar time consumption to fine-tuning. Experiments show that KernelWhitening significantly improves the performance of BERT on out-of-distribution datasets while maintaining in-distribution accuracy. © 2022 Association for Computational Linguistics.
