To enhance the safety and longevity of large ships, employing high-pressure water jet technology for rust removal is crucial in this article, the qualitative relationship among the key parameters of high-pressure water jet rust removal is analyzed theoretically. Secondly, the flow field simulation is carried out using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software to verify the relationship among the key parameters. Finally, the influence of different nozzle length-diameter ratios on jet characteristics is analyzed. The simulation results show that the nozzle end length is 0 mm and the nozzle diameter is 1mm for the straight-cone convergent nozzle with a shrinking angle of 30° when the diameter of the length-diameter ratio remains unchanged and the length of the nozzle end is changed. Simultaneously, the highest values are observed for the nozzle exit velocity and the impact force on the target surface. The impact range of target shear force takes the maximum value when the length-diameter ratio is 1. Further, by changing the length of the nozzle-end and the nozzle diameter in the length-diameter ratio, the influence on the jet characteristics can be concluded that the nozzle diameter has a greater influence on the nozzle exit velocity than the nozzle-end length. On this basis, the optimized nozzle parameters can be obtained i.e., the nozzle-end length is 1 mm and the nozzle diameter is 1 mm, such that the effective striking area of the jet is the largest and the striking effect is the best. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. An important goal in synthetic biology is in the design and implementation of control strategies embedded in biochemical reaction systems to enable control of the process at the molecular level. The problem of set-point tracking and perturbation disturbances in the biochemical reaction process can be solved by a state feedback control strategy and a more stable and better dynamic performance of synthetic controllers. First, it is shown how a set of CRNs can provide state feedback to the biomolecular implementation of the H∞ controller. Then, to facilitate the modularity of biochemical process design, CRNs of trigonometric functions and repetitive sequence step signals are defined for the first time as input signals to the controller. Finally, numerical simulation experiments are designed to verify the effectiveness of the whole scheme from several perspectives, such as setpoint tracking and external perturbations. The results show that the state feedback H∞ molecular controller outperforms the conventional linear controller because it has a faster tracking response and better perturbation rejection performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Drug-target interaction prediction help reduce the cost and time of drug development. However, existing research often overlooks the complexity of biological interactions. To address this issue, this paper proposes a DTI prediction model that integrates multi-dimensional biochemical features. Specifically, the model utilizes a heterogeneous graph attention network to capture the topological relationships among biological entities from diverse data, providing a deep understanding of the interactions among drugs, proteins, diseases, and side effects. A molecular attention Transformer network and a CBiNet module are used to extract the key structural features of drugs and targets. By automatically optimizing the weight distribution between drugs and targets, the model enhances the information transfer during network training, significantly improving model performance. Experimental results on real-world datasets demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms the current state-of-the-art methods in the field. Among the top 50 novel COVID-19 therapeutic drugs predicted by our model, 30 have been supported by clinical trials or scientific literature, further demonstrating the effectiveness of our proposed method in drug repurposing. Curved fronts of bistable reaction-diffusion equations in spatially periodic media: N ≥ 2

This paper is concerned with curved fronts of bistable reaction-diffusion equations in spatially periodic media for dimensions N ≥ 2. The curved fronts concerned are transition fronts connecting 0 and 1. Under a priori assumption that there exist moving pulsating fronts in every direction, we show the existence of polytope-like curved fronts with 0-zone being a polytope and 1-zone being the complementary set. By reversing some conditions, we also show the existence of curved fronts with reversed 0-zone and 1-zone. Furthermore, the curved fronts constructed by us are proved to be unique and asymptotic stable. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Co-free Li-rich layered oxides(LLOs)are emerging as promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries due to their low cost and high ***,they commonly face severe structural instability and poor electrochemical activity,leading to diminished capacity and voltage ***,we introduce a Co-free LLO,Li_(1.167)Ni_(0.222)Mn_(0.611)O_(2)(Cf-L1),which features a cooperative structure of Li/Ni mixing and stacking *** structure regulates the crystal and electronic structures,resulting in a higher discharge capacity of 300.6 mA h g^(-1)and enhanced rate capability compared to the typical Co-free LLO,Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.2)Mn_(0.6)O_(2)(Cf-Ls).Density functional theory(DFT)indicates that Li/Ni mixing in LLOs leads to increased Li-O-Li configurations and higher anionic redox activities,while stacking faults further optimize the electronic interactions of transition metal(TM)3d and non-bonding O 2p ***,stacking faults accommodate lattice strain,improving electrochemical reversibility during charge/discharge cycles,as demonstrated by the in situ XRD of Cf-L1 showing less lattice evolution than *** study offers a structured approach to developing Co-free LLOs with enhanced capacity,voltage,rate capability,and cyclability,significantly impacting the advancement of the next-generation Li-ion batteries.

To meet the requirements of electromagnetic(EM)theory and applied physics,this study presents an overview of the state-of-the-art research on obtaining the EM properties of media and points out potential solutions that can break through the bottlenecks of current ***,based on the survey of three mainstream approaches for acquiring EM properties of media,we identify the difficulties when implementing them in realistic *** a focus on addressing these problems and challenges,we propose a novel paradigm for obtaining the EM properties of multi-type media in realistic ***,within this paradigm,we describe the implementation approach of the key technology,namely“multipath extraction using heterogeneous wave propagation data in multi-spectrum cases”.Finally,the latest measurement and simulation results show that the EM properties of multi-type media in realistic environments can be precisely and efficiently acquired by the methodology proposed in this study.

With the advent of the 5G era, the development of IoT technology has been accelerated. Due to the continuous increase in the amount of data waiting to be processed from the edge, edge nodes may struggle to handle such a vast amount of data. Therefore, the technology of cloud-edge collaboration has emerged, and how to achieve cloud-edge collaborative task scheduling has become a current research hotspot. This article provides a detailed exposition of the relevant work on task scheduling in the cloud-edge environment, and outlines the common optimization objectives in the cloud-edge collaboration scenario. The methods used to solve task scheduling problems are classified and summarized, including heuristic, heuristic algorithm based on linear programming, and meta-heuristic algorithms. The advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm are analyzed. Finally, the development trends of large-scale task scheduling in the cloud-edge environment are discussed, providing valuable insights for achieving real-time performance, efficiency, and energy conservation in the Internet of Things. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

In this paper, a nonlinear energy sink (NES) is designed to suppress the vibrations of a rectangular plate, where the vibrations within a non-resonant band of the plate are mainly investigated. The selected frequency range is 9–11 Hz with a loading frequency interval of 0.5 Hz. The harmonic excitation experiments with fixed frequency are conducted within the non-resonant band to obtain its amplitude-frequency curves. The results indicate that the NES always has effective vibration absorption with the variations in NES mass and spring stiffness under low excitation accelerations. However, the rectangular plate exhibits a higher branch of response within the low-frequency range under high excitation accelerations. Metrics such as the effective value of response acceleration and the vibration level are introduced to evaluate the experimental results to analyze the vibration absorption of the NES. The study reveals that optimal performance is achieved when a non-weighted NES with a spring having a wire diameter of 1.2 mm and an external diameter of 10 mm is attached to the rectangular plate. The complexification-averaging method is utilized to study the amplitude-frequency response of a system connected to a parallel asymmetric nonlinear energy sink (NES) under harmonic excitation, and the Runge-Kutta method is used to analyze the change law of the frequency band of the higher branches of response and the strongly modulated responses with the assistance of the complexification-averaging method. Under shock loading, the effect of parallel asymmetric NES parameters on its vibration absorption efficiency is investigated. The results demonstrate that the frequency band of higher branches of response is widened by reducing the stiffness ratio, mass ratio, and damping ratio of the two NES, emphasizing the fact that the frequency band of the strongly modulated response can be widened or narrowed with the reduction of these parameters. Moreover, reducing the mass ratio and damping ratio of the two NESs decreases the vibration absorption efficiency when the system is subjected to a shock load. Planetary gearboxes find extensive application in wind power generation, aerospace, industrial production and other fields. Harsh operational conditions and prolonged periods of continuous work often lead to various gear damages. Therefore, it is important to continuously monitor the health status of planetary gearboxes. However, the fault-sensitive frequencies of planetary gearboxes used in the existing signal models and fault diagnosis indicators are calculated theoretically or searched artificially. In response to this, this paper proposes a strategy for identifying fault-sensitive frequencies in planetary gearboxes intelligently by combining spectral amplitude analysis with three models: Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Deep Neural Network (DNN).
