Even with an unprecedented breakthrough of deep learning in electroencephalography(EEG),collecting adequate labelled samples is a critical problem due to laborious and time‐consuming *** study proposed to solve the limited label problem via domain adaptation ***,they mainly focus on reducing domain discrepancy without considering task‐specific decision boundaries,which may lead to feature distribution overmatching and therefore make it hard to match within a large domain gap completely.A novel self‐training maximum classifier discrepancy method for EEG classification is proposed in this *** proposed approach detects samples from a new subject beyond the support of the existing source subjects by maximising the discrepancies between two classifiers'***,a self‐training method that uses unlabelled test data to fully use knowledge from the new subject and further reduce the domain gap is ***,a 3D Cube that incorporates the spatial and frequency information of the EEG data to create input features of a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)is *** experiments on SEED and SEED‐IV are *** experimental evaluations exhibit that the proposed method can effectively deal with domain transfer problems and achieve better performance.

Social platforms, while facilitating access to information, have also become saturated with a plethora of fake news, resulting in negative consequences. Automatic multimodal fake news detection is a worthwhile pursuit. Existing multimodal fake news datasets only provide binary labels of real or fake. However, real news is alike, while each fake news is fake in its own way. These datasets fail to reflect the mixed nature of various types of multimodal fake news. To bridge the gap, we construct an attributing multi-granularity multimodal fake news detection dataset AMG, revealing the inherent fake pattern. Furthermore, we propose a multi-granularity clue alignment model MGCA to achieve multimodal fake news detection and attribution. Experimental results demonstrate that AMG is a challenging dataset, and its attribution setting opens up new avenues for future research. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). Planning in the cold rolling is an increasingly important vital aspect in steel industry. In this study, we investigate a cold rolling planning problem derived from a steel company, which is characterized by multi-item considerations with sequence-dependent setups in a single period. To tackle this problem, we introduce a bi-objective modified lot-sizing model, aiming at minimizing both the capacity waste and setup cost. A dedicated multi-objective evolutionary algorithm is proposed to solve this problem. The experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in achieving near-optimal solutions within a reasonable time, which can facilitate reductions in both production costs and time. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

This article designs and implements a runtime library for general dataflow programming, DFCPP (Luo Q, Huang J, Li J, Du Z. Proceedings of the 52nd International Conference on Parallel Processing Workshops. ACM;2023:145-152.), and builds upon it to design and implement a multi-machine C++ dataflow library, M-DFCPP. In comparison to existing dataflow programming environments, DFCPP features a user-friendly interface and richer expressive capabilities (Luo Q, Huang J, Li J, Du Z. Proceedings of the 52nd International Conference on Parallel Processing Workshops. ACM;2023:145-152.), enabling the representation of various types of dataflow actor tasks (static, dynamic and conditional task). Besides that, DFCPP addresses the memory management and task scheduling for non-uniform memory access architectures, while other dataflow libraries lack attention to these issues. M-DFCPP extends the capability of current dataflow runtime libraries (DFCPP, taskflow, openstream, etc.) and capable of multi-machine computing, while maintains the API compatible with DFCPP. M-DFCPP adopts the concepts of master and follower (Dean J, Ghemawat S. Commun ACM. 2008;51(1):107-113;Ghemawat S, Gobioff H, Leung ST. ACM SIGOPS Operating Systems Review. ACM;2003:29-43.), which form a worksharing framework as many multi-machine system. To shift to the M-DFCPP framework, a filtering layer is inserted to the original DFCPP, transforming it into followers that can cooperate with each other. The master is made of modules for scheduling, data processing, graph partition, state management and so forth. In benchmark tests with workload with directed acyclic graph topology of binary trees and random graphs, DFCPP demonstrated performance improvements of 20% and 8%, respectively, compared to the second fastest library. M-DFCPP consistently exhibits outstanding performance across varying levels of concurrency and task workloads, achieving a maximum speedup of more than 20 over DFCPP, when the task parallelism e

In many real scenarios, data are often divided into a handful of artificial super categories in terms of expert knowledge rather than the representations of images. Concretely, a superclass may contain massive and various raw categories, such as refuse sorting. Due to the lack of common semantic features, the existing classification techniques are intractable to recognize superclass without raw class labels, thus they suffer severe performance damage or require huge annotation costs. To narrow this gap, this paper proposes a superclass learning framework, called SuperClass Learning with Representation Enhancement(SCLRE), to recognize super categories by leveraging enhanced representation. Specifically, by exploiting the self-attention technique across the batch, SCLRE collapses the boundaries of those raw categories and enhances the representation of each superclass. On the enhanced representation space, a superclassaware decision boundary is then reconstructed. Theoretically, we prove that by leveraging attention techniques the generalization error of SCLRE can be bounded under superclass scenarios. Experimentally, extensive results demonstrate that SCLRE outperforms the baseline and other contrastive-based methods on CIFAR-100 datasets and four high-resolution datasets.

Bilingual lexicon induction (BLI) can transfer knowledgefrom well- to under- resourced language, and has been widelyapplied to various NLP tasks. Recent work on BLI is projection-based that learns a mapping to connect source and target embedding spaces, with the isomorphism assumption. Unfortunately, the isomorphism assumption doesn't hold gener-ally, especially in typologically distant language pairs. Moreover, without supervised signals guiding, the training will further com-plicates BLI, making the performance of unsupervised methods unsatisfactory. To broke the restrict of isomorphism, we propose a semi-supervised method for distant BLI tasks, named A Semi-supervised Bilingual Lexicon Induction method in Latent Space based on Bidirectional Adversarial Model. First, two latent spaces are learned by two autoencoders for source and target domain independently to weaken the constraint of isomorphism in the embedding spaces. Then we add a few pairs of dictionary to learn the initial mapping to connect the Latent Space. Last, based on initial mapping, Cycle-Consistency is combined with Distance constraint constraint to maintain the geometry structure of both embedding spaces stable in the learning of bi-direction mapping based on adversarial model. By conducting extensive experiments, our method gets state-of-the-art results on most language pairs, especially with significant improvements on distant language pairs. © 2021 IEEE.

YTHDF1 shapes immune-mediated hepatitis via regulating inflammatory cell recruitment and response

Severe immune responses regulate the various clinical hepatic injuries, includingautoimmune hepatitis and acute viral hepatitis. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification is acrucial regulator of immunity and inflammation. However, the precise role of YTHDF1 in Tcell-mediated hepatitis remains incompletely characterized. To address this, we utilizedConcanavalin A (ConA)-induced mouse liver damage as an experimental model for T cell-mediated hepatitis. Our findings found that hepatic YTHDF1 protein rapidly decreased during ConAinduced hepatitis, and YTHDF1-deficient (Ythdf1^(-/-)) mice showed more susceptibility toConA-induced liver injury, along with an intensified inflammatory storm accompanied by aggravated hepatic inflammatory response via ERK and NF-κB pathways. Interestingly, hepatic-specific over-expression or deletion of YTHDF1 exhibited redundancy in ConA-induced liver *** in bone marrow chimeric mice confirmed the necessity of YTHDF1 in hematopoieticcells for controlling the response to ConA-induced hepatitis. Additionally, our data revealedthat YTHDF1 deletion in macrophages exacerbated the inflammatory response induced by lipopolysaccharide. In summary, our study uncovered that YTHDF1 deficiency exacerbates the immune response in ConA-induced hepatitis by modulating the expression of inflammatorymediators, highlighting the potential of YTHDF1 as a therapeutic target for clinical hepatitis.
