Time Delay Neural Network (TDNN) is a well-performing structure for deep neural network-based speaker recognition systems. In this paper we introduce a novel structure, named Crossed-Time Delay Neural Network (CTDNN) to enhance the performance of current TDNN for speaker recognition. Inspired by the multi-filters setting of convolution layers from convolution neural networks, we set multiple time delay units with different context size at the bottom layer and construct a multilayer parallel network. The proposed CTDNN gives significant improvements over original TDNN on both speaker verification and identification tasks. It outperforms in VoxCeleb1 dataset in verification experiment with a 2.6% absolute Equal Error Rate improvement. In few shots condition, CTDNN reaches 90.4% identification accuracy, which doubles the identification accuracy of original TDNN. We also compare the proposed CTDNN with another new variant of TDNN, Factorized-TDNN, which shows that our model has a 36% absolute identification accuracy improvement under few shots condition. Moreover, the proposed CTDNN can handle training with a larger batch more efficiently and hence, utilize calculation resources economically. Domain generalization aims to train a model that can directly generalize to unseen domains after learning from different source domains. Due to the significant distribution discrepancy between training domains and the unseen target domain, model performance can be significantly affected. To address the issue, one current trend is to develop contrastive learning frameworks that achieve clustering effects by aligning features in the embedding space. Among existing solutions under contrastive learning frameworks, contrastive-based methods interact with intra-class and inter-class samples indiscriminately with equal intensity. Such indiscriminate interaction can be insufficient for effectively clustering domains with large gaps due to the influence of domain discrepancy. In contrast, metric learning frameworks, as traditional approaches for embedding space optimization, widely implement constructing class proxies as their central technique. However, when applied in domain generalization, proxy-based methods tend to neglect the rich semantic relationships between samples and fail to account for the domain-specific distributional relationships among classes. To resolve these limitations, we integrate contrastive-based methods with proxy-based methods, proposing a dual-proxy contrastive learning framework. Focusing on sample relations, we pay special attention to same-class cross-domain samples and assign greater interaction intensity to reduce feature discrepancy across domains. For class relations, we build two groups of centroid proxies: random proxy groups that adjust class-internal distributions along model optimization and mean proxy groups that represent statistical information to calibrate class-external distributions. Ultimately, we integrate the explorations from both the sample and class perspectives. We evaluate our method on five benchmark datasets, including PACS, VLCS, OfficeHome, TerraIncognita, and DomainNet, and the results validate its effectiveness with

Neural architecture search based on the cartesian genetic programming

Neural architecture search (NAS) is a hot topic in the field of automated machine learning and outperforms humans in designing neural architectures on quite a few machine learning tasks. Motivated by the natural representation form of neural networks by Cartesian Genetic Programming (CGP), we propose an evolutionary approach of NAS based on CGP, called CGPNAS, to solve sentence classification task. To evolve the architectures under the framework of CGP, the operations such as convolution are identified as the types of function nodes of CGP, and the evolutionary operations are designed based on Evolutionary Strategy. The experimental results show that the searched architectures are comparable with the performance of human-designed architectures. We verify the ability of domain transfer of our evolved architectures and the transfer experimental results show that the accuracy deterioration is lower than 2-5%. Finally, the ablation study identifies the Attention function as the single key function node and the linear transformations along could keep the accuracy similar with the full evolved architectures, which is worthy of investigation in the future. The evolutionary algorithm has become a major method for neural architecture search recently. However, the fixed probability distribution adopted by the traditional evolutionary algorithm makes the algorithm unable to control the increase or decrease of the individual architecture size and thus cannot guarantee the lightweight and inference efficiency of the candidate architecture. In addition, the existing approaches cannot learn the optimal sampling probability distribution relevant to the specific problem from the empirical information accumulated through the search process. What’s more, the algorithm needs to evaluate the performance of all the individual architectures, which requires huge computing resources and time overhead. To overcome these problems and challenges, an Efficient Self-learning Evolutionary Neural Architecture Search method, called ESE-NAS, is presented in this paper. Firstly, we propose a Model Size Control module, which generates the probability distribution for sampling the type of mutation operators according to the current model size, so as to control both the node number of network architecture and the sparsity of links, therefore ensuring that neural architectures can remain compact and efficient as they evolve. Thereafter, a Mutation Candidate Credit Assignment method is proposed, which enables the algorithm to dynamically adjust the probability distribution for available types of node operations and directed links according to the empirical information from individuals’ performance evaluation, which can guide the evolutionary direction of neural architecture and shorten the first hitting time of the optimal architecture. Finally, a neural architecture performance predictor is formulated, and the accuracy of each individual architecture is predicted by using the simplified input features, to further improve the efficiency of neural architecture search. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are widely used in aerial photography nowadays for their strong maneuverability, good image quality and high cost performance, while they have limited battery capacity and difficulty in operation. It is difficult to reach the ideal pose and get the desired shot by manual manipulation in a short time. To solve these problems, an UAV pose estimation system guided by desired shot is constructed. Either a sequence of images or a video is taken as input. The user interacts with the system to express the desired shot. The 3D-reconstruction is done by Structure from Motion (SfM). Then the Perspective-n-Point (PnP) problem is solved to estimate the ideal pose of the UAV. The experimental results proves that the system is effective and valid. © 2019 IEEE.

Size-fixed group discovery via multi-constrained graph pattern matching

Multi-Constrained Graph Pattern Matching (MC-GPM) aims to match a pattern graph with multiple attribute constraints on its nodes and edges, and has garnered significant interest in various fields, including social-based e-commerce and trust-based group discovery. However, the existing MC-GPM methods do not consider situations where the number of each node in the pattern graph needs to be fixed, such as finding experts group with expert quantities and relations specified. In this paper, a Multi-Constrained Strong Simulation with the Fixed Number of Nodes (MCSS-FNN) matching model is proposed, and then a Trust-oriented Optimal Multi-constrained Path (TOMP) matching algorithm is designed for solving it. Additionally, two heuristic optimization strategies are designed, one for combinatorial testing and the other for edge matching, to enhance the efficiency of the TOMP algorithm. Empirical experiments are conducted on four real social network datasets, and the results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed algorithm and optimization strategies.

Image retrieval algorithm based on response value center weighted convolution feature

A novel cross-entropy-based loss is proposed，which is applied to a classical convolutional neural network to obtain a better embedding space. A convolutional feature aggregation algorithm based on the weighting of the center of the response value is designed to process the three-dimensional convolutional features obtained by the neural network. The algorithm obtains the spatial weighting coefficient of the feature map by calculating the current position response value and the Gaussian center. The algorithm reduces the loss of information when the 3D convolution feature map is reduced to a 1D image feature descriptor and realizes the enhancement of the target area. Finally，the obtained image feature descriptors are used for retrieval tasks. On the CUB-200-2011 dataset，the effectiveness of the loss function and the response value center weighting algorithm are respectively verified by ablation experiments. Compared with the current retrieval methods，higher precision and recall rates have been obtained on the four datasets of Paris6k，Oxford5k，CUB-200-2011 and CARS196. © 2022 Editorial Board of Jilin University. Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is one of the fastest developing technologies in intelligent transportation systems (ITS), which has made great contributions to improving traffic congestion and reducing traffic accidents. As it is deployed in an open environment, security and privacy are threatened to a certain extent. Moreover, there are huge data exchanges in high traffic areas, which require VANET system to improve computing efficiency while ensuring communication security. To solve the above issues, this paper proposes a cloud-assisted road condition monitoring (RCM) system. The trusted authority (TA) monitors the road conditions with the help of the cloud server. The vehicle collects the road condition information of the road section managed by the roadside unit (RU), and only the vehicles authorized by the administrative roadside unit can successfully upload the road condition reports to the cloud server. The cloud server divides the road condition reports into different equivalence classes, in this way to report the emergency to the TA when the reported quantity exceeds the threshold. Security analysis showed that the proposed RCM system can effectively protect the security and privacy of road condition reports in VANETs.

Social Group Query Based on Multi-fuzzy-constrained Strong Simulation

Traditional social group analysis mostly uses interaction models, event models, or other methods to identify and distinguish groups. This type of method can divide social participants into different groups based on their geographic location, social relationships, and/or related events. However, in some applications, it is necessary to make more specific restrictions on the members and the interaction between members of the group. Generally, graph pattern matching (GPM) is used to solve this problem. However, the existing GPM methods rarely consider the rich contextual information of nodes and edges to measure the credibility between members. In this paper, a social group query problem that needs to consider the trust between members of the group is proposed. To solve this problem, we propose a Strong Simulation GPM algorithm (NTSS) based on the exploration of pattern Node Topological ordered sequence. Aiming at the inefficiency of the NTSS algorithm when matching pattern graph with multiple nodes with zero in-degree and the problem of repeated calculation of matched edges shared by multiple matching subgraphs, two optimization strategies are proposed. Finally, we conduct verification experiments on the effectiveness and efficiency of the NTSS algorithm and the algorithms with the optimization strategies on four social network datasets in real applications. Experimental results show that the NTSS algorithm is significantly better than the existing multi-constrained GPM algorithm, and the NTSS_Inv_EdgC algorithm, which combines two optimization strategies, greatly improves the efficiency of the NTSS algorithm. A global planning algorithm for intelligent vehicles is designed based on the A* algorithm, which provides intelligent vehicles with a global path towards their destinations. A distributed real-time multiple vehicle collision avoidance(MVCA)algorithm is proposed by extending the reciprocal n-body collision avoidance method. MVCA enables the intelligent vehicles to choose their destinations and control inputs independently,without needing to negotiate with each other or with the coordinator. Compared to the centralized trajectory-planning algorithm, MVCA reduces computation costs and greatly improves the robustness of the system. Because the destination of each intelligent vehicle can be regarded as private, which can be protected by MVCA, at the same time MVCA can provide a real-time trajectory planning for intelligent vehicles. Therefore,MVCA can better improve the safety of intelligent vehicles. The simulation was conducted in MATLAB, including crossroads scene simulation and circular exchange position simulation. The results show that MVCA behaves safely and reliably. The effects of latency and packet loss on MVCA are also statistically investigated through theoretically formulating broadcasting process based on one-dimensional Markov chain. The results uncover that the tolerant delay should not exceed the half of deciding cycle of trajectory planning, and shortening the sending interval could alleviate the negative effects caused by the packet loss to an extent. The cases of short delay(< 100100 ms) and low packet loss(< 5%) can bring little influence to those trajectory planning algorithms that only depend on V2 V to sense the context, but the unpredictable collision may occur if the delay and packet loss are further worsened. The MVCA was also tested by a real intelligent vehicle, the test results prove the operability of MVCA.
