Transformer has achieved excellent performance in the knowledge tracing (KT) task, but they are criticized for the manually selected input features for fusion and the defect of single global context modelling to directly capture students' forgetting behavior in KT, when the related records are distant from the current record in terms of time. To address the issues, this paper first considers adding convolution operations to the Transformer to enhance its local context modelling ability used for students' forgetting behavior, then proposes an evolutionary neural architecture search approach to automate the input feature selection and automatically determine where to apply which operation for achieving the balancing of the local/global context modelling. In the search space design, the original global path containing the attention module in Transformer is replaced with the sum of a global path and a local path that could contain different convolutions, and the selection of input features is also considered. To search the best architecture, we employ an effective evolutionary algorithm to explore the search space and also suggest a search space reduction strategy to accelerate the convergence of the algorithm. Experimental results on the two largest and most challenging education datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the architecture found by the proposed approach.

In this paper,by designing a normalized nonmonotone search strategy with the BarzilaiBorwein-type step-size,a novel local minimax method(LMM),which is a globally convergent iterative method,is proposed and analyzed to find multiple(unstable)saddle points of nonconvex functionals in Hilbert *** to traditional LMMs with monotone search strategies,this approach,which does not require strict decrease of the objective functional value at each iterative step,is observed to converge faster with less ***,based on a normalized iterative scheme coupled with a local peak selection that pulls the iterative point back onto the solution submanifold,by generalizing the Zhang-Hager(ZH)search strategy in the optimization theory to the LMM framework,a kind of normalized ZH-type nonmonotone step-size search strategy is introduced,and then a novel nonmonotone LMM is *** feasibility and global convergence results are rigorously carried out under the relaxation of the monotonicity for the functional at the iterative ***,in order to speed up the convergence of the nonmonotone LMM,a globally convergent Barzilai-Borwein-type LMM(GBBLMM)is presented by explicitly constructing the Barzilai-Borwein-type step-size as a trial step-size of the normalized ZH-type nonmonotone step-size search strategy in each ***,the GBBLMM algorithm is implemented to find multiple unstable solutions of two classes of semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with variational structures:one is the semilinear elliptic equations with the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition and another is the linear elliptic equations with semilinear Neumann boundary *** numerical results indicate that our approach is very effective and speeds up the LMMs significantly.

Sequences with low/zero ambiguity zone (LAZ/ZAZ) properties are useful in modern communication and radar systems operating over mobile environments. This paper first presents a new family of ZAZ sequence sets motivated by the "modulating" zero correlation zone (ZCZ) sequences which were first proposed by Popovic and Mauritz. We then introduce a second family of ZAZ sequence sets with comb-like spectrum, whereby the local Doppler resilience is guaranteed by their inherent spectral nulls in the frequency domain. Finally, LAZ sequence sets are obtained by exploiting their connection with a novel class of mapping functions. These proposed unimodular ZAZ and LAZ sequence sets are cyclically distinct and asymptotically optimal with respect to the existing theoretical bounds on ambiguity functions. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

With the capability to sculpt complex radiative wavefronts and couple energy from the reference wave to the desired radiation pattern, metasurface antennas have gained tremendous progress in recent years. The flexibility in antenna design gives rise to a bunch of metasurface antennas, while there is still a comprise between the needed operation band and radiation field pattern coherence. Furthermore, the relatively low sampling ratio and overlap between frequency measurement modes would inevitably pose a great challenge for matched filter and other advanced sparsity-driven post-processing imaging algorithms. In this paper, we design a deep neural network to achieve fast scene image reconstruction. The trained network could fastly reconstruct the imaged object in both low scene compressed ratio and high coherence of the measurement modes. The imaging experiments with measured radiation field data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of our method. © 2021 IEEE.

A wideband bidirectional circularly polarized (CP) orbital angular momentum (OAM) antenna array is proposed for millimeter-wave frequency. The designed antenna array is composed of four bidirectional radiating dual-CP antenna units that rotate 90 degrees sequentially to each other in the clockwise direction. Results indicate that the left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) with a mode l-{OAM}=-1 in +z direction and right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) with a mode l-{OAM}=+1 in -z direction, over a wide impedance and 3-dB axial ratio (AR) relative bandwidth of 32.3% from 26 to 36 GHz. © 2021 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

As the scale of the networks continually expands,the detection of distributed denial of service(DDoS)attacks has become increasingly *** propose an intelligent detection model named IGED by using improved generalized entropy and deep neural network(DNN).The initial detection is based on improved generalized entropy to filter out as much normal traffic as possible,thereby reducing data *** the fine detection is based on DNN to perform precise DDoS detection on the filtered suspicious traffic,enhancing the neural network’s generalization *** results show that the proposed method can efficiently distinguish normal traffic from DDoS *** with the benchmark methods,our method reaches 99.9%on low-rate DDoS(LDDoS),flooded DDoS and CICDDoS2019 datasets in terms of both accuracy and efficiency in identifying attack flows while reducing the time by 17%,31%and 8%.

Dunhuang culture is a treasure house of human history and culture. As an integral part of Dunhuang culture, Dunhuang dance is famous for its unique national characteristics and artistic characteristics. In the form of Dunhuang dance, instrumental music and props are used to greatly enrich the stage expression, forming a unique dance form of "holding music while dancing, dancing with instruments". However, the phenomenon of homogenization of instrumental props occurs frequently, which hinders the overall presentation effect and beauty of Dunhuang dance. The development based on the generative diffusion model provides new ideas for the design of Dunhuang dance instrumental props. First, the role played by musical instruments and props in the presentation of Dunhuang dance art was sorted out, and the Dunhuang dance instrumental props were digitally collected and processed, and a special data set was constructed. Secondly, based on the recognition of related instruments, a diffusion model instrumental prop image generation that can be used in the Chinese context is trained. Experimental results show that the instrumental props generated by this method not only conform to realistic logic but also have strong applicability. © 2024 SPIE.

The authors study the binary codes spanned by the adjacency matrices of the strongly regular graphs(SRGs)on at most two hundred vertices whose existence is *** authors show that in length less than one hundred they cannot be cyclic,except for the exceptions of the SRGs of parameters(85,42,20,21)and(96,60,38,36).In particular,the adjacency code of a(85,42,20,21)is the zero-sum *** the range[100,200]the authors find 29 SRGs that could possibly have a cyclic adjacency code.

Unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) attracts extra attention in medical image processing because no additional labels are required when adapting to different distributions. In this work, we propose a novel unsupervised domain adaptation framework named as Domain Expansion and PseudoLabeling (DEPL). We extend the domain of a labeled source domain data to four different distributed domains and use adversarial learning to align the image appearance level and feature level from the four different domains to the unlabeled target domain. In addition, we propose a selective pseudolabeling mechanism, namely using strong confidence pseudolabeling to boost model performance. We evaluate our model for the MR to CT adaptation segmentation task on the public dataset MMWHS. Compared to seven other state-of-the-art segmentation methods, our DEPL achieves the best Dice similarity coefficient by 82.4%, which is at least 3.9% higher than the other UDA segmentation methods. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a hybrid method for determination of continuous dielectric properties of clothing materials. The dielectric constant and loss tangent of three types of materials are firstly investigated using open-ended coaxial probe from 0.5 to 20 GHz. The average measured values are input into the CST simulation of two CPW lines to obtain the two-port S-parameters. Finally, more reasonable yet reliable results are obtained by using two retrieval algorithms (TRACE and ABCD) for validation and comparative purposes. © 2023 IEEE.
