A Miniaturized Bandwidth Reconfigurable Bandpass Chip Filter with Semi-lumped Topology and GaAs pHEMT Technology

A miniaturized reconfigurable bandpass chip filter with semi-lumped topology and Gallium Arsenide pseudomorphic High electron mobility transistor（GaAs pHEMT） technology is proposed. Semi-lumped topology is employed to instead the traditional lumped inductor with microstrip transmission line, which can reduced the size of the tunable filter significantly. Three-order series and shunt resonated bandpass filter is implemented with shorted stubs and metal-insulator-metal capacitors. Two transmission zeros are introduced with the series resonator and the shunted GaAs FET. By tuning the gate bias circuit of the FET, the capacitance of the series resonator is changed and the bandwidth of the filter is adjusted correspondingly. An equivalent circuit model is developed to interpret the mechanism of the proposed filter circuit. A reconfigurable on chip filter sample operated at 10 GHz is fabricated to validate the design. Two fractional bandwidth of 14.3% and 23.5% are tuned with bias voltage of the FET, while insertion loss of 2.4 d B and 2.2 d B are observed with the filter, respectively. The area of the chip filter is 0.86 × 0.96 mm2and is equivalent to an electrical length of 0.08 × 0.09λg2at center frequency. Measurement results agree well with the simulation ones.

Holographic stereogram, as a marriage of holography and multi-view display technique, benefits of these two 3D display technologies. Recent research about the dual-view holographic stereogram 3D display technology shows an attractive way to present the visual information. However, due to the utilization of the random phase to smooth the spatial frequency spectrum, the troublesome of the quality of reconstructed images from holographic stereograms are those images containing speckle noise. In this paper, inspiring by the works about the computer-generated holograms, we introduced an optimized phase for the generation of dual-view holographic stereogram based on integral imaging to get a better suppression effect of speckle noise. The key goal is to determine the complex amplitude employed to calculate the holographic stereogram. Firstly, the pickup process of multiple parallax images corresponding to the left-view field and right-view field are finished by the virtual cameras. Then, the optimized phase is generated by the full-support iterative process, whose phase range is limited in the first time. Next, instead of the random phase, it is combined with corresponding parallax image to yield the complex amplitude. Holographic stereogram plane is segmented into many element holograms and each of them is generated by the Fourier transforming of the above complex amplitude. The phase of each complex element holograms is retained to generated the phase-only holographic stereogram, which have higher diffraction efficiency and no conjugate image than amplitude type holographic stereogram. Finally, the two set of holograms are combined together to reconstruct the corresponding dual-view. The optimized phase as the initial phase is demonstrated by simulations, the comparison of the simulated reconstructions shows that the method of this paper could improve the reproduction quality of the dual-view holographic stereogram, that extended its applicability and practicality. © 20

This paper presents a parallel coupled line bandpass filter for X-band applications, which has low insertion loss, broadband and easy processing. By loading the CSRR (Complementary Split Ring Resonator) and SRR (Split Ring Resonator) structures, three additional transmission zeros are added to improve the out-of-band rejection performance of the filter. Moreover, the rectangular DGS structure below the triple-parallel coupling line reduces the insertion loss of the filter. This paper reports a compact size bandstop filter using Defected Ground Structure (DGS). The proposed filter consists of squared shaped defect and U-shaped defect sticked on the ground plane. This design is based on a parallel LC circuit model and designed to work at 1 GHz. The filter is implemented on a FR-4 dielectric plate and its size is 0.049λg× 0.049λg (where λg is the wavelength in waveguide). © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

In this paper, we propose a miniaturized wide-stopband SIW dual-band filter. SIW limits the propagation of electromagnetic waves and thus enables the miniaturization of the filter. A passband below the waveguide cutoff frequency is generated by etching the CSRR structure on the surface of the SIW, while a modified CSRR-DGS structure is etched on the backside of the SIW structure, and the other passband is generated by coupling the CSRR etched on the surface of the SIW to the ground. In addition, the CSRR-DGS structure broadens the stopband without increasing the filter size. Through the circuit equivalent analysis and parameter optimization of the filter structure, the final simulation results are as follows: the filter has a passband of 3.5 GHz (WIMAX) and 5.2 GHz (WLAN), the 3dB bandwidths of the two bands are 130MHz and 180MHz respectively, the insertion loss is 0.5 dB and 0.65 dB, and the size is $0.18λ{\mathrm{g}}× 0.27λ{\mathrm{g}}$. Overall, it achieves high performance and also has a wide range of applications. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

A wideband GCPW-SIW fed slots antenna in millimeter wave band is designed in this paper. The structure is composed of four inclined slots which are placed on the one side of the SIW with three shorting vias and fed by GCPW transmission line. The simulated results show that the operating frequency band of the proposed antenna is 24.15-27.59GHz (13.23%), the antenna has a stable gain with a maximum value of 9.67dBi and high radiation efficiency. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

A 38×38×4mm3 wideband circularly polarized (CP) antenna with Hybrid Metasurface (MTS) for wearable devices is proposed. The proposed antenna achieves CP radiation by cutting corners on a square microstrip patch. A hybrid MTS is placed above a square patch with cut corners, achieving broadband radiation performance. The working mechanism of hybrid MTS is analyzed by characteristic mode analysis (CMA). The simulated -10dB bandwidth is 40.1% (4.61-6.82 GHz) and the 3dB axial ratio bandwidth is 25.2% (5.16-6.55 GHz) with a peak gain of 8.1 dBi. In addition, the antenna has a front-to-back ratio of approximately 20 dB, which makes it suitable for wearable applications. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

Compared with monochromatic holographic displays, color holographic displays have rich depth and color information, which can give observers a more pleasant visual effect. Inspiring by the adaptive weighted GS method, we introduced an optimized iterative method based on exponential weighted constraint to calculate phase-only holograms of color images. After channel separation of the target image to obtain each component image, the input complex amplitude is formed with quadratic phase and iterated. During the iteration, subtract the amplitude of the reconstructed image from the amplitude of the target image to construct an exponential constraint. This exponential constraint is applied to the signal area of the image plane. After calculating the three-channel phase hologram, a color holographic reconstruction can be obtained using the time multiplexing method. Simulated and optical experiments verify the effectiveness of this method. © 2023 SPIE.

Reversible data hiding in encrypted domain (RDH-ED) fortifies data security and privacy safeguards while upholding the original data’s integrity and accessibility. Current research on RDH-ED focuses on 2D images, while research on 3D mesh models is still immature. This paper introduces an RDH-ED method using block modulus encryption and multi-MSB prediction. Initially, the original mesh model is partitioned into non-overlapping subblocks of equal size, and then the vertices in each subblock are encrypted with the same key for additive modulus encryption, ensuring that the spatial correlation present in the original mesh subblocks remains preserved within the encrypted subblocks. Subsequently, the subblocks are disrupted one by one using the 3D Arnold Transform to enhance security. The vertices in each embeddable subblock are divided into a reference vertex and several embeddable vertices, where the multi-MSB prediction strategy is employed to allocate embedding room for each embeddable vertex. Finally, the secret information is embedded into the allocated room. Since the proposed method almost completely preserves the spatial correlation within each subblock, the achieved embedding rate surpasses that of all previous outstanding methods that rely on vacating room after encryption (VRAE). The experimental findings demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves an average embedding rate of 45.55 bits per vertex (bpv), surpassing the state-of-the-art method that achieves 25.63 bpv. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Currently, few-shot object detection (FSOD) methods for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are severely understudied. The high confidentiality and scarcity of SAR data, coupled with the susceptibility of targets in SAR images to significant changes in orientation, make existing models sensitive to variations in novel class examples. This sensitivity leads to challenges in extracting class prototypes and accurately estimating class centers for novel classes. To solve the above issues, we propose a few-shot object detection algorithm for SAR images via Gaussian Flow Class-Balanced Differential Aggregation. Specifically, we first design a class-balanced difference feature aggregation module to solve the problems of difficult class distribution estimation and inaccurate class center estimation of novel classes in SAR images. Second, the contextual information perception module is designed to extract the most representative support features into fine-grained prototypes and aggregate them with the query features using the matching paradigm to solve the imbalance between foreground targets and background in SAR images. Finally, experimental results on MSAR-AIR dataset indicate that our model realizes the best detection properties on SAR images compared to existing models. © 2024 IEEE.
