Recent progress in material data mining has been driven by high-capacity models trained on large ***,collecting experimental data(real data)has been extremely costly owing to the amount of human effort and expertise ***,we develop a novel transfer learning strategy to address problems of small or insufficient *** strategy realizes the fusion of real and simulated data and the augmentation of training data in a data mining *** a specific task of grain instance image segmentation,this strategy aims to generate synthetic data by fusing the images obtained from simulating the physical mechanism of grain formation and the“image style”information in real *** results show that the model trained with the acquired synthetic data and only 35%of the real data can already achieve competitive segmentation performance of a model trained on all of the real *** the time required to perform grain simulation and to generate synthetic data are almost negligible as compared to the effort for obtaining real data,our proposed strategy is able to exploit the strong prediction power of deep learning without significantly increasing the experimental burden of training data preparation.

While a variety of ensemble methods for multilabel classification have been proposed in the literature, the question of how to aggregate the predictions of the individual members of the ensemble has received little attention so far. In this paper, we introduce a formal framework of ensemble multilabel classification, in which we distinguish two principal approaches: "predict then combine" (PTC), where the ensemble members first make loss minimizing predictions which are subsequently combined, and "combine then predict" (CTP), which first aggregates information such as marginal label probabilities from the individual ensemble members, and then derives a prediction from this aggregation. While both approaches generalize voting techniques commonly used for multilabel ensembles, they allow to explicitly take the target performance measure into account. Therefore, concrete instantiations of CTP and PTC can be tailored to concrete loss functions. Experimentally, we show that standard voting techniques are indeed outperformed by suitable instantiations of CTP and PTC, and provide some evidence that CTP performs well for decomposable loss functions, whereas PTC is the better choice for non-decomposable losses. Object pose detection and tracking has recently attracted increasing attention due to its wide applications in many areas, such as autonomous driving, robotics, and augmented reality. Among methods for object pose detection and tracking, deep learning is the most promising one that has shown better performance than others. However, survey study about the latest development of deep learning-based methods is lacking. Therefore, this study presents a comprehensive review of recent progress in object pose detection and tracking that belongs to the deep learning technical route. To achieve a more thorough introduction, the scope of this study is limited to methods taking monocular RGB/RGBD data as input and covering three kinds of major tasks: instance-level monocular object pose detection, category-level monocular object pose detection, and monocular object pose tracking. In our work, metrics, datasets, and methods of both detection and tracking are presented in detail. Comparative results of current state-of-the-art methods on several publicly available datasets are also presented, together with insightful observations and inspiring future research directions. Tensor factorization and distanced based models play important roles in knowledge graph completion (KGC). However, the relational matrices in KGC methods often induce a high model complexity, bearing a high risk of overfitting. As a remedy, researchers propose a variety of different regularizers such as the tensor nuclear norm regularizer. Our motivation is based on the observation that the previous work only focuses on the "size" of the parametric space, while leaving the implicit semantic information widely untouched. To address this issue, we propose a new regularizer, namely, Equivariance Regularizer (ER), which can suppress overfitting by leveraging the implicit semantic information. Specifically, ER can enhance the generalization ability of the model by employing the semantic equivariance between the head and tail entities. Moreover, it is a generic solution for both distance based models and tensor factorization based models. The experimental results indicate a clear and substantial improvement over the state-of-the-art relation prediction methods. © 2022, CC BY.

Blockchain technologies have been benefiting many industries by being decentralized, secure and confidential. They offer great potential in pandemic impacted scenarios as well. Contact tracing helps to mitigate the transmission of disease by alerting people who may have been exposed so they can act on time to protect themselves. Contact tracing systems face some challenges related to issues of medical privacy, data security and transparency. Multiple researches show concern that contact tracing discourages people to seek medication because of the fear of loss of data, subsequent stigma, discrimination, or abuse. In this paper, we discuss how contact tracing can be improved using blockchain technology and could be able to solve these issues. The aim of our proposed system would be to reduce the impact of pandemic, to implement this merger of the blockchains and the Contact tracing app and to ensure user privacy and avoid data misuse by incorporating a symmetric key cryptographic mechanism. To tackle the scalability related issues of Blockchain this framework uses IPFS, a distributed file storage system also known as Interplanetary File System. This blockchain based solution system will enhance contact tracing by making it more stable, secure, performant, highly useable and above all effective in the fight against any pandemic. © 2021 The Authors

knowledge graph (KG) embeddings have shown great power in learning representations of entities and relations for link prediction tasks. Previous work usually embeds KGs into a single geometric space such as Euclidean space (zero curved), hyperbolic space (negatively curved) or hyperspherical space (positively curved) to maintain their specific geometric structures (e.g., chain, hierarchy and ring structures). However, the topological structure of KGs appears to be complicated, since it may contain multiple types of geometric structures simultaneously. Therefore, embedding KGs in a single space, no matter the Euclidean space, hyperbolic space or hyperspheric space, cannot capture the complex structures of KGs accurately. To overcome this challenge, we propose Geometry Interaction knowledge graph Embeddings (GIE), which learns spatial structures interactively between the Euclidean, hyperbolic and hyperspherical spaces. Theoretically, our proposed GIE can capture a richer set of relational information, model key inference patterns, and enable expressive semantic matching across entities. Experimental results on three well-established knowledge graph completion benchmarks show that our GIE achieves the state-of-the-art performance with fewer parameters. © 2022, CC BY.

We present the results of a friendly competition for formal verification of continuous and hybrid systems with nonlinear continuous dynamics. The friendly competition took place as part of the workshop Applied Verification for Continuous and Hybrid Systems (ARCH) in 2021. This year, 5 tools Ariadne, CORA, DynIbex, JuliaReach and Kaa (in alphabetic order) participated. These tools are applied to solve reachability analysis problems on five benchmark problems, two of them featuring hybrid dynamics. We do not rank the tools based on the results, but show the current status and discover the potential advantages of different tools. © 2021, EasyChair. All rights reserved.

Topic Space Trajectories A Case Study on Machine Learning Literature

The annual number of publications at scientific venues, for example, conferences and journals, is growing quickly. Hence, even for researchers it becomes harder and harder to keep track of research topics and their progress. In this task, researchers can be supported by automated publication analysis. Yet, many such methods result in uninterpretable, purely numerical representations. As an attempt to support human analysts, we present topic space trajectories, a structure that allows for the comprehensible tracking of research topics. We demonstrate how these trajectories can be interpreted based on eight different analysis approaches. To obtain comprehensible results, we employ non-negative matrix factorization as well as suitable visualization techniques. We show the applicability of our approach on a publication corpus spanning 50 years of machine learning research from 32 publication venues. In addition to a thorough introduction of our method, our focus is on an extensive analysis of the results we achieved. Our novel analysis method may be employed for paper classification, for the prediction of future research topics, and for the recommendation of fitting conferences and journals for submitting unpublished work.
