Genealogical knowledge graphs depict the relationships of family networks and the development of family histories. They can help researchers to analyze and understand genealogical data, search for genealogical roots, and explore the origins of a family more easily. However, the multi-type, multisource dynamic changes and specialized nature of genealogical data bring challenges to the development of contemporary knowledge graph models. Applying existing methods to genealogical data can result in problems of overlooking certain specialized vocabulary and dynamic properties such as personal experiences. In this paper, we propose a genealogical knowledge graph model GKGM that combines HAO intelligence (h uman intelligence + a rtificial intelligence + o rganizational intelligence) and ontology granularity division technology to address the above problems. Furthermore, a method of applying the model to construct genealogical knowledge graphs is demonstrated, and an experiment conducted on a real-world genealogical dataset verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the model.

In recent years, data center network is used for transmission, storage and processing of big data, which plays an important role for applications in cloud computing and CDN distribution. Network topology and routing algorithm are its core research content and key technical issues. The traditional network topology is difficult to guarantee the quality of service in scalability and fault tolerance. The server-centric data center network topology can ensure the scale of the data center network by recursively increasing the number of network nodes and links. relative to the Dcell, BCube, and BCCC typical network topology, PTNet network as a typical representative of a new type of the server-centric data center network topology, which has more advantages in scalability, fault tolerance and so on. Multicast and broadcast in data center network have more application scenarios and use value. For example, the video conference online, multimedia remote education and other development are inseparable from the application and promotion of network multicast and broadcast. So it is necessary to research the routing algorithms of multicast and broadcast in the network. FortisAVQA and MAVEN: a Benchmark dataset and Debiasing Framework for Robust Multimodal Reasoning

Audio-Visual Question Answering (AVQA) is a challenging multimodal reasoning task requiring intelligent systems to answer natural language queries based on paired audio-video inputs accurately. However, existing AVQA approaches often suffer from overfitting to dataset biases, leading to poor robustness. Moreover, current datasets may not effectively diagnose these methods. To address these challenges, we first introduce a novel dataset, FortisAVQA, constructed in two stages: (1) rephrasing questions in the test split of the public MUSIC-AVQA dataset and (2) introducing distribution shifts across questions. The first stage expands the test space with greater diversity, while the second enables a refined robustness evaluation across rare, frequent, and overall question distributions. Second, we introduce a robust Multimodal Audio-Visual Epistemic Network (MAVEN) that leverages a multifaceted cycle collaborative debiasing strategy to mitigate bias learning. Experimental results demonstrate that our architecture achieves state-of-the-art performance on FortisAVQA, with a notable improvement of 7.81%. Extensive ablation studies on both datasets validate the effectiveness of our debiasing components. Additionally, our evaluation reveals the limited robustness of existing multimodal QA methods. We also verify the plug-and-play capability of our strategy by integrating it with various baseline models across both datasets. LadRa-Net: Locally-aware dynamic re-read attention net for sentence semantic matching

Sentence semantic matching requires an agent to determine the semantic relation between two sentences, which is widely used in various natural language tasks, such as Natural Language Inference (NLI), Paraphrase Identification (PI), and so on. Much recent progress has been made in this area, especially attention-based methods and pre-trained language model based methods. However, most of these methods focus on all the important parts in sentences in a static way and only emphasize how important the words are to the query, inhibiting the ability of attention mechanism. In order to overcome this problem and boost the performance of attention mechanism, we propose a novel dynamic re-read attention, which can pay close attention to one small region of sentences at each step and re-read the important parts for better sentence representations. Based on this attention variation, we develop a novel Dynamic Re-read Network (DRr-Net) for sentence semantic matching. Moreover, selecting one small region in dynamic re-read attention seems insufficient for sentence semantics, and employing pre-trained language models as input encoders will introduce incomplete and fragile representation problems. To this end, we extend DRr-Net to Locally-Aware Dynamic Re-read Attention Net (LadRa-Net), in which local structure of sentences is employed to alleviate the shortcoming of Byte-Pair Encoding (BPE) in pre-trained language models and boost the performance of dynamic reread attention. Extensive experiments on two popular sentence semantic matching tasks demonstrate that DRr-Net can significantly improve the performance of sentence semantic matching. Meanwhile, LadRa-Net is able to achieve better performance by considering the local structures of sentences. Recently, instead of pursuing high performance on classical evaluation metrics, the research focus of image captioning has shifted to generating sentences which are more vivid and stylized than human-written ones. However, there are still no applicable metrics which can judge how close the generated captions are to the human-written ones. In this paper, we propose a novel learning-based evaluation metric, namely Unpaired Image Captioning Evaluation (UICE), which can be trained to distinguish between human-written and generated captions. Unlike existing metrics, our UICE consists of two parts: the semantic alignment module measuring the semantic distance between extracted image features and caption meanings, and the syntactic discriminating module syntactically judging how human-like the candidate caption is. The semantic alignment module is implemented by mapping the image features and the word embedding into a unified tensor space. And the syntactic discriminating module is designed to be learning-based, and thereby can be trained to be stylized by users' own, fed with additional personalized corpus during the training process. Extensive experiments indicate that our metric can correctly judge the grammatical correctness of generated captions and the semantic consistency between captions and corresponding images.

Semi-supervised classification on data streams with recurring concept drift and concept evolution

Mining non-stationary stream is a challenging task due to its unique property of infinite length and dynamic characteristics let alone the issues of concept drift, concept evolution and limited labeled data. Although more attention has been attracted on the issues of concept drift and evolution in data streams, however, most of existing methods are supervised in nature, which probably result in a worse classification performance and lower efficiency in the case with scarcity of labeled data. Thus, in this paper, we proposed a semi-supervised framework with recurring concept drift and novel class detection called ESCR, which aims to detect recurring concept drift and concept evolution in data streams with partially labeled data. It is firstly built on an ensemble model consisted of several clustering-based classifiers. In terms of this framework, we adopt Jensen–Shannon divergence based change detection technique on classifier confidence score instead of classification error rate to detect recurring concept drifts. Meanwhile, we take concept evolution into consideration by monitoring the outliers with strong cohesion. Moreover, we further improve the execution efficiency of our framework by exploiting the recursive function and dynamic programming. Finally, extensive experiments conducted on both benchmark and synthetic data sets demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed semi-supervised framework in the handling of data streams with recurring concept drifts and concept evolution, as compared to several well-known semi-supervised data stream classification methods. © 2021 Elsevier B.V.

This paper explores the size-invariance of evaluation metrics in Salient Object Detection (SOD), especially when multiple targets of diverse sizes co-exist in the same image. We observe that current metrics are size-sensitive, where larger objects are focused, and smaller ones tend to be ignored. We argue that the evaluation should be size-invariant because bias based on size is unjustified without additional semantic information. In pursuit of this, we propose a generic approach that evaluates each salient object separately and then combines the results, effectively alleviating the imbalance. We further develop an optimization framework tailored to this goal, achieving considerable improvements in detecting objects of different sizes. Theoretically, we provide evidence supporting the validity of our new metrics and present the generalization analysis of SOD. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. In scenarios where multiple parties such as the Internet of Things and Supply Chains participate in data sharing and computing, when accessing data, users not only need to accept the forward access control of the data owner, but also needs to perform reverse access control on the data, so as to realize two-way access control. In the traditional blockchain, all users can participate in accounting and view transaction data, and only protect user privacy through “pseudo-anonymity”. The access rights of different users cannot be distinguished, which cannot meet the user's two-way access control needs. However, most of the existing blockchain-based access control schemes are one-way access control, which cannot meet the needs of users for two-way access control in scenarios such as the Internet of Things and Supply Chains. Therefore, it is particularly important to design a two-way access control mechanism suitable for application in the blockchain. On this basis, this paper proposes a dual strategy attribute-based encryption (ABE) scheme for distributed outsourcing. This scheme combines two existing schemes, ciphertext-policy ABE and key-policy ABE, and proposes two access structures and a structure of attribute sets. The primary access structure and the secondary attributes are stored in the ciphertext, and the secondary access structure and the primary attributes are stored in the user's private key. Only when the primary attribute set satisfies the primary access structure and the secondary attribute set satisfies the secondary access structure can the user unlock the ciphertext. This scheme has no single authorization center; instead, blockchain nodes jointly participate in authorization. In addition, the proposed scheme outsources the encryption and decryption of the ciphertext to blockchain nodes to reduce the computing pressure on users and can adapt to the decentralized environment of the blockchain and provide users with two-way access control services. Low-rank representation is powerful for recovering and clustering the subspace structures, but it cannot obtain deep hierarchical information due to the single-layer mode. In this paper, we present a new and effective strategy to extend the single-layer latent low-rank models into multiple-layers, and propose a new and progressive Deep Latent Low-Rank Fusion Network (DLRF-Net) to uncover deep features and structures embedded in input data. The basic idea of DLRF-Net is to refine features progressively from the previous layers by fusing the subspaces in each layer, which can potentially obtain accurate features and subspaces for representation. To learn deep information, DLRF-Net inputs shallow features of the last layers into subsequent layers. Then, it recovers the deeper features and hierarchical information by congregating the projective subspaces and clustering subspaces respectively in each layer. Thus, one can learn hierarchical subspaces, remove noise and discover the underlying clean subspaces. Note that most existing latent low-rank coding models can be extended to multilayers using DLRF-Net. Multi-frame joint enhancement for early interlaced videos

Early interlaced videos usually contain multiple and interlacing and complex compression artifacts, which significantly reduce the visual quality. Although the high-definition reconstruction technology for early videos has made great progress in recent years, related research on deinterlacing is still lacking. Traditional methods mainly focus on simple interlacing mechanism, and cannot deal with the complex artifacts in real-world early videos. Recent interlaced video reconstruction deep deinterlacing models only focus on single frame, while neglecting important temporal information. Therefore, this paper proposes a multiframe deinterlacing network joint enhancement network for early interlaced videos that consists of three modules, i.e., spatial vertical interpolation module, temporal alignment and fusion module, and final refinement module. The proposed method can effectively remove the complex artifacts in early videos by using temporal redundancy of multi-fields. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can recover high quality results for both synthetic dataset and real-world early interlaced videos. Copyright © 2021, The Authors.
