This study will shed light on the opportunities for improvements in the function of interaction between Interactive art installations and the spectators. Where a synthesis of the analysis and evaluation of sensory, cognitive and perceptual human and socio-cultural factors in various research studies and an undergoing case study will be presented. The main goal of this study is to enhance the user experience and bring it to a higher level by considering the human factors in the interactivity aspect, as we human beings have different levels of cognition and perception that will compose our experience with the IMAI. © 2015 The Authors

The development of citizens' and organizations' entrepreneurial capacity is a key policy objective of any country. The information required for monitoring development of curricula and learning activities fostering entrepreneurship as a competence is obtained from different data sources in different information systems. The semantic interoperability between these systems with resources relevant to the development of entrepreneurship stimulates more productive sharing of information among all stakeholders. Building semantic interoperable systems, ensuring in this way a collaborative performance, is not without difficulties. This paper presents EntreCompOnto, an ontology based on the EntreComp framework that could support European citizens and organizations in attaining entrepreneurship competence. EntreCompOnto sets the ground for identifying the knowledge, skills and attitudes that comprise 'entrepreneurial mindset', the ultimate aim being to facilitate exchange among users of EntreComp's adaptation families and eventually to positively impact the mobility, employability and participation of citizens in society and the economy. © 2018 IEEE.

The tracking technology is a part of the information technology to track and trace the status and location of certain stuffs that is usually used in the post and logistics area. Currently, this technology is also introduced in the e-Government area to support more effective and more efficient public services. Previous research has implemented the document tracking technology in Indonesia, especially in the Payakumbuh city as the use case. However, the measurement had not been done to support the argumentation that the utilization of the document tracking will enhance the e-Government performance. This paper proposed the document tracking measurement model that can be used to support the e-Government business process. We used two direction approaches, namely top-down and bottom-up approaches to build a comprehensive measurement for the document tracking. Initial result shows that the measurement model can demonstrate the enhancement of the e-Government performance, in general and in more detailed level.

The customization of software process capability/maturity models (SPCMMs) to specific domains/sectors or development methodologies represents one of the most discussed and applied trends in ICT organizations. Nonetheless, little research appears to have been performed on how theoretically sound and widely accepted SPCMMs should be developed to high quality. The aim of this paper is therefore to elicit the state-of-the-art regarding the processes adopted to develop such models and to propose a systematic approach to support the customization of SPCMMs. Such an approach is developed based on ISO/IEEE standard development processes integrating knowledge engineering techniques and experiences about how such models are currently developed in practice. Initial feedback from an expert panel indicates the usefulness and adequacy of the proposed method. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

Data visualization is used to analyze the patterns and trends of data, including budget distributions, business analytics and so forth in a form of diagrams, charts, graphs and so on. In Malaysia, the budget is still in the form of a speech text and infographics. In the previous study, a treemap visualization technique is used to visualize the Malaysia budget, but it has resulted in data congestion as there are too many ministries and its programs in Malaysia. Besides, the visualization failed to compare previous and current budgets. Therefore, this study uses the circle packing technique to visualize Malaysia’s budget where it provides a more presentable and interactive way to explore the budget that can compare the current and previous budget on a single website. In order to construct this data visualization, it starts with the preparation of a JSON file to reorganize the budgets data and imported as an input file. Then, circle packing algorithm is used, which includes creating a new pack layout, followed by packing the root node by assigning coordinate x, y, and radius. Besides, it needs to pack the radius, and then set the size using two elements of an array. It follows by setting the padding and packing the array of siblings circles. Lastly, it encloses the circles to the packing. This algorithm is then integrated with JSON file and HTML to visualize it interactively on the web. This dynamic budget visualization webpage is a better option of exploration and it is beneficial to Malaysians as it helps the citizen in seeing a clearer picture of the distributions of their money. Furthermore, it is handy to understand the government future financial planning for Malaysia in an interactive way. This algorithm can be reusable to visualize any other financial data in a hierarchy structure. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Medical care, particularly for chronic diseases, accumulates a huge amount of patient data over extensive time periods that needs to be accessed and analyzed accordingly. Information Visualization methods hold great promises in turning data deluge into improved quality of medical care. Yet, patient data management systems mostly provide documents, form-based displays, or static visualizations. We present a design study of an interactive visualization system, called VisuExplore, to support long-term care and medical analysis of patients with chronic diseases. VisuExplore offers interaction techniques for effective exploration of time-oriented data and employs simple, but intuitive visualization techniques. It was developed in close cooperation with physicians. We conducted two user studies with nine physicians and 16 students, which indicate that our design is useful and appropriate for particular tasks. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin.

Collaborative construction of ontologies is still hampered by immature methodologies and by tools which are insufficient for domain experts who are not at the same time, knowledge engineers. The DynamOnt project has set out to develop a methodology for collaboratively creating group ontologies which evolve over time as well as in space and internal complexity. The project also seeks to identify requirements and specifications for tools which will support the construction of such dynamically evolving ontologies. Major issues are the guidance of knowledge workers towards soundly constructed ontologies with the help of upper level ontologies and an exploration into language issues - in our case the scenario for constructing ontologies, if German is the language of choice for the domain experts. We also investigate the relationship between terminology and ontology, which we view as a bridge between linguistically motivated and IT motivated standardisation of conceptual models. We envisage knowledge workers' environments of the future to be tightly integrated systems with their hypertextual capabilities being controlled by ontologically sound interaction and navigation models. Cancer is becoming a leading cause of death among people in the whole world. It is confirmed that the early detection and accurate diagnosis of this disease can ensure a long survival of the patients. Expert systems and machine learning techniques are gaining popularity in this field because of the effective classification and high diagnostic capability. This paper presents the application of rough set theory for clustering two cancer datasets. These datasets are taken from UCI ML repository. The method is based on MDA technique proposed by [11]. To select a clustering attribute, the maximal degree of the rough attributes dependencies in categorical-valued information systems is used. Further, we use a divide-and-conquer method to partition/cluster the objects. The results show that MDA technique can be used to cluster to the data. Further, we present clusters visualization using two dimensional plot. The plot results provide user friendly navigation to understand the cluster obtained.

Triage is the first point of clinical assessment of severity in Emergency Departments (ED). While patients are allocated maximum waiting time to treatment, it is often overlooked in Malaysian ED. There are situations when patients' clinical conditions have deteriorated while waiting for treatment, which the patients may not have realized. Ideally, as patients reach the allocated waiting time limit, they should be re-triaged in order to re-assess their severity and take action for prompt treatment if necessary. Since, existing Malaysian triage systems do not implement re-triage, we used agent-oriented simulation to study the effects of re-triage on patients with deteriorating clinical conditions. Our preliminary findings show that re-triage can help to reduce the waiting time of patients whose conditions deteriorate rapidly. The simulation also uncovers an ED resource bottleneck, i.e., the number of physicians treating the patients, which is fixed to two based on the advice of practitioners.
