Challenged by urbanization and increasing travel needs, existing transportation systems need new mobility paradigms. In this article, we present the emerging concept of autonomous mobility-on-demand, whereby centrally orchestrated fleets of autonomous vehicles provide mobility service to customers. We provide a comprehensive review of methods and tools to model and solve problems related to autonomous mobility-on-demand systems. Specifically, we first identify problem settings for their analysis and control, from both operational and planning perspectives. We then review modeling aspects, including transportation networks, transportation demand, congestion, operational constraints, and interactions with existing infrastructure. Thereafter, we provide a systematic analysis of existing solution methods and performance metrics, highlighting trends and trade-offs. At present,the utilization rate of small cold storage for fruit and vegetable in Yunnan is low,and it is necessary to carry out regional management of cold storage in order to save energy and improve the utilization *** different fruits and vegetables need different refrigeration temperatures,so real-time temperature and humidity monitoring is particularly *** meeting this requirement,this paper designs an arduino-based temperature and humidity monitoring system for small cold storage of fruit and *** system mainly includes hardware and software *** component includes Arduino Mega2560,ESP8266,Zigbee,DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor,and OLED display and the software component includes the Arduino IDE,UartAssist serial debugging assistant,***,the whole system is tested,and the test results show that the system has the characteristics of remote viewing,high measuring accuracy and convenient use,and the system could meet the needs of temperature and humidity management for small cold storage.

Distributed Online Convex Optimization with Adversarial Constraints: Reduced Cumulative Constraint Violation Bounds under Slater’s Condition

This paper considers distributed online convex optimization with adversarial constraints. In this setting, a network of agents makes decisions at each round, and then only a portion of the loss function and a coordinate block of the constraint function are privately revealed to each agent. The loss and constraint functions are convex and can vary arbitrarily across rounds. The agents collaborate to minimize network regret and cumulative constraint violation. A novel distributed online algorithm is proposed and it achieves an O(T max{c,1−c}) network regret bound and an O(T 1−c/2) network cumulative constraint violation bound, where T is the number of rounds and c ∈ (0, 1) is a user-defined trade-off parameter. When Slater’s condition holds (i.e, there is a point that strictly satisfies the inequality constraints), the network cumulative constraint violation bound is reduced to O(T 1−c). Moreover, if the loss functions are strongly convex, then the network regret bound is reduced to O(log(T)), and the network cumulative constraint violation bound is reduced to O(√log(T)T) and O(log(T)) without and with Slater’s condition, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first to achieve reduced (network) cumulative constraint violation bounds for (distributed) online convex optimization with adversarial constraints under Slater’s condition. The characteristics of raindrops in ordos city of Yellow River, including the speed and size of rainfall raindrops, they were analyzed through a natural rainfall on the sandstone slope of Pisa. The analysis results show that this time process of natural rainfall is very parabolic. We can see that with the increase of rainfall rainfall intensity, the count amount, size and terminal velocity of natural rainfall will increase greatly. In addition, the size and final velocity of natural raindrops are very scattered. In the process of rainfall, the final velocity is mainly concentrated in the range of 1.4-4.2m/s, and the peak of the rainfall final velocity is generally 2.2-3.4m/s. The rainfall mainly consists of 0. 125-1. 25mm raindrops. We can see also the final velocity of raindrops with a diameter of 0. 125mm was mainly between 1 and 1.4m/s, the final velocity of raindrops with a diameter of 0.25mm was mainly between 1.4 and 1.8m/s, the raindrop with a diameter of 0.375mm was mainly between 1.4 and 2. 2m/s, and the raindrop with a diameter of 0.5mm was mainly between 1.8 and 3.4 m/s.

Advanced efficacious and energy saving catalytic technologies have the capacity to enhance the degradation of emerging anthropogenic contaminants. Herein, the supramolecular nanofibers, namely carbon quantum dots doped perylene diimide (PDI/CQDs), was prepared via a one-step acidification polymerization protocol. The results showed that the rate constants of naproxen (NPX) were of 3.50 times in contrast to pristine PDI, whereas the NPX1 and NPX2 were of 2.03 and 2.07 times, respectively. The main contributors to the system included h+, O2•−, 1O2, H2O2 and •OH. Degradation mainly occurred through four paths, including the decarboxylation reaction, classical Ipso-substitution reaction, electron-dominated reaction, and intramolecular dehydration reaction paths. The obvious inhibitory effects of HA, Cl-, NO2- and HCO3- was observed, where a lower pH value was beneficial for the degradation of NPX. An overall mechanism was proposed through DFT calculations of high-efficiency electron-hole separation of PDI/CQDs. To improve the nanomaterial applicability, PDI/CQDs cellulose acetate membrane was synthesized and used under different water conditions, which further revealed the stability and efficient of this membrane and the primary accumulation of H2O2. Ultimately, the aggregate results provided basic supportive data for the remediation of contaminants in water and wastewater. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The introduction of AI methods in production or production-related environments meets with resistance from operators due to their lack of relevant experience and their responsibility for plant safety. To overcome these inhibitions one requires prototypical implementations, which offer considerable benefits, meet the highest requirements for reliability, are accepted by the operating personnel, and get support from those in charge. As a result, AI technologies must be embedded into the complex IT/OT infrastructure of the companies. Traceability, maintainability and longevity must also be guaranteed. As a first step towards this, we present a concept of the demonstrator and its first results, which should make AI comprehensible by visualizing challenges and exploring possibilities in the process industry.

Cr(III) recovery in form of Na2CrO4 from aqueous solution using improved bipolar membrane electrodialysis

During the process of Cr(III) recovery from an aqueous solution using an electrodialysis or a bipolar membrane electrodialysis (BMED) system, the purity and recovery are often low because of the migration of co-existing cation ions, such as Na+, K+, Ca2+, and Mg2+. In this study, a modified BMED system was used to recycle Cr (III) from an aqueous solution in the form of Na2CrO4 , which is a basic compound in the chromate chemical industry, after Cr(III) was oxidized to Cr(VI) by H2O2 under alkaline conditions. The electrolyte concentration in the Cr(III) solution and the current density influenced the chromium recovery, current efficiency, and specific energy consumption. Under optimal experimental parameters, i.e., 5.0 g/L Na2SO4 in Cr(III) solution and a current density of 0.5 mA/cm(2) , more than Cr(III) of 87.8% could be recycled. When the number of recovery chamber modules increased from one to two and then three, the current efficiency increased from 23.2% to 45.6% and 67.6%, and the specific energy consumption decreased from 1.19 to 0.89 and 0.73 kW.h/g of chromium. The present technology was therefore found effective for recovering Cr(III) from aqueous solutions.

Na2S2O8/CuFe2O4 addition and hydrothermal pretreatment were combined in this paper to ameliorate the dewatering performance (DP) of sludge with specific-resistance of filtration (SRF), time of capillary suction (CST), and water content (Wc) as well as water types investigated. The results shown the synergistic effect between Na2S2O8/CuFe2O4 addition and hydrothermal pretreatment and the DP of sludge reached to the best when the hydrothermal temperature was 150oC, the addition amount of Na2S2O8 was 0.08 mmol/g-VSS and the mass ratio of Na2S2O8/CuFe2O4 was 2.0. Through the analysis of water distribution, it was also demonstrated that the sludge structure was destroyed with the surface moisture released. All the results obtained shown the significant impact of the combined methods on ameliorating DP of sludge and promoting sludge recovery and utilization. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.

Visual target tracking is often accompanied with colored measurement noise (CMN) caused by the object and camera frame dynamics, which require special estimation algorithms. In this paper, we consider the Kalman filter (KF) and unbiased finite impulse response (UFIR) filter modified for Gauss-Markov CMN. The algorithms are designed employing measurement differencing and demonstrate a better performance under the CMN then the standard algorithm. Experimental investigations are conducted for several benchmark trajectories, where a target is tracked using a video camera.
