This paper is concerned with the stabilization problem of linear time-invariant systems under Denial-of-Service(DoS)***,system matrices are unknown,and only some input-output trajectories collected from off-line experiments are ***,in the model-based case,it has been proven that systems equipped with a predictor-based state feedback controller achieve resilience against DoS ***,this is difficult or even impossible to be implemented in the absence of a system model,thus leading to resilient control challenging in the data-based *** maintain resilience against DoS attacks in the data-based case,a data-driven model predictive control(MPC) scheme is proposed such that future system input-output trajectories can be obtained by solving a data-dependent optimal *** this scheme,a data-driven resilient control strategy is developed such that the system achieves the same level of resilience of the DoS attacks as the model-based ***,a numerical example is given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this brief, an accelerated data-driven cooperative distributed predictive control approach with the cloud-edge-end collaboration implemented is proposed for the finishing rolling system(FRS) of the hot strip mill process. Specifically, in the end device, the operating data of the rolling mill stands and looper systems are collected and uploaded to the cloud server, which contributes to satisfying the interconnected information communication requirements for optimization problem-solving. Then, the control optimization problem is quickly solved in the cloud server, where the cooperative distributed solving method is applied, and an accelerated iteration strategy is adopted. Moreover, a regularized optimization technique is used to suppress the interference of disturbance and noise. Thus, the edge device can set the input of the bottom-level control to realize the control of the finishing rolling system with the optimal control sequences sent from the cloud server. Finally, simulations on a real finishing rolling system are conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Dealloying by which the transition metal is partially or completely leached from an alloy precursor is an effective way to optimize the fundamental effects for further enhancing the electrocatalysis of a ***,to address the deficiencies associated with the commonly used dealloying methods,for example,electrochemical and sulfuric acid/nitric acid treatment,we report an acetic acid-assisted mild strategy to dealloy Cu atoms from the outer surface layers of CuPd alloy nanoparticles to achieve high-efficiency electrocatalysis for oxygen reduction and ethanol oxidation in an alkaline *** leaching of Cu atoms by acetic acid exerts an additional compressive strain effect on the surface layers and exposes more active Pd atoms,which is beneficial for boosting the catalytic performance of a dealloyed catalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and the ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).In particular,for ORR,the CuPd nanoparticles with a Pd/Cu molar ratio of 2:1 after acetic dealloying show a half-wave potential of 0.912 V(***)and a mass activity of 0.213 AmgPd^(-1) at 0.9 V,respectively,while for EOR,the same dealloyed sample has a mass activity and a specific activity of 8.4 Amg^(-1) and 8.23 mA cm^(-2),respectively,much better than their dealloyed counterparts at other temperatures and commercial Pd/C as well as a Pt/C catalyst.

The quotient of two multivariate Gaussian densities can be written as an unnormalized Gaussian density, which has been applied in some recently developed multiple-model fixed-interval smoothing algorithms. However, this expression is invalid if instead of being positive definite, the covariance of the unnormalized Gaussian density is indefinite (i.e., it has both positive and negative eigenvalues) or undefined (i.e., computing it requires inverting a singular matrix). This paper considers approximating the quotient of two Gaussian densities in this case using two different approaches to mitigate the caused numerical problems. The first approach directly replaces the indefinite covariance of the unnormalized Gaussian density with a positive definite matrix nearest to it. The second approach computes the approximation through solving, using the natural gradient, an optimization problem with a Kullback-Leibler divergence-based cost function. This paper illustrates the application of the theoretical results by incorporating them into an existing smoothing method for jump Markov systems and utilizing the obtained smoothers to track a maneuvering target. © 2023 International Society of Information Fusion.

Cooperative behavior has been of great concern in evolutionary game researches because of its important role in social life and natural evolution. Since memory can greatly influence the emergence of cooperative behavior, memory-based research on evolutionary games has proliferated in recent years. In the present paper, inspired by the well-known 'Stanford marshmallow experiment' (SME), we proposed a multi-memory mechanism in Snowdrift game (SDG) on spatial lattice networks whose core lies in what follows: Players are divided into two groups according to individual self-control;different memory lengths are set by group and by time in a single realization. The simulation results show that our proposed mechanism promotes cooperation level of the considered evolutionary game. More specifically, as memory length increases to an intermediate length, the cooperation level increases as well. For mechanism with short memory length, the effect of population structure is obvious and small values of adjusting factor can intensively facilitate high-frequency cooperative behavior. These findings may be helpful to understand the connection between population heterogeneity and the emergence of high cooperation. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The main objective of this paper is to propose a fault diagnosis scheme for the multi-concurrent faults of the parallel shaft gearbox. To be specific, the normal and failure data sets are preprocessed and translated into black and white pixel images first. Then, the data sets are divided into training sets and verification sets with different batch sizes. By applying the Resnet Neural Network, a fault diagnosis scheme is presented for monitoring the gearbox. Finally, a simulating experiment with multiple failure modes is conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed results. © 2021 IEEE

This article investigates adaptive dynamic programming based optimal state estimation where the effect of inevitable noise is considered. The designed optimal state estimation process conforms to Bellman optimality principle. Based on adaptive dynamic programming, the proposed optimal state estimation method provides the design condition for the Kalman filter gain. A novel model-free reinforcement learning algorithm is proposed to synthesize the Kalman filter gain, which can handle state estimation without the knowledge of system dynamics. A simulation is demonstrated to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2021 IEEE

In this paper, the robust fault detection filter(RFDF) design problem for uncertain Lur'e singularly perturbed systems(SPSs) with unknown inputs is studied. Firstly, an optimal residual generator is constructed as a reference model, and the design of the RFDF for the system is formulated as an H∞ model matching problem. Secondly, based on the linear matrix inequality(LMI) theory, the sufficient conditions for the augmented system to be absolutely stable and satisfy the H∞ performance index are derived. Then an algorithm is proposed to solve the optimization problem, based on this, the specific parameters of the RFDF are obtained by using the LMI toolbox, and the fault detection method based on residual signal is obtained. Finally, a numerical example is given to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed results.

Damping typically results in attenuation of vibrations and elastic wave propagation in mechanical systems. Contrary to this conventional understanding, we demonstrate experimentally and explain theoretically the revival of an elastic wave transmitted through a periodic metastructure when a weak non-Hermitian defect (damping mechanism) induces violation of time-reversal symmetry. Damping alters the nature of the system’s resonant modes, instigating interference in the scattering field. This leads to transmission revival, revealing the presence of hidden modes, which are otherwise masked by the symmetry. Our findings offer an approach for designing dissipation-driven switches and controllers and nondestructive structural health-monitoring systems.
