With the development of service computing technology, the number of publicly availab.e Web APIs online has increased dramatically. Developers tend to use Web APIs to implement their software development requirements. However, due to the large number of Web APIs, how to select the appropriate Web API from the huge resource library for Mashup development has become a challenge. To solve this problem, some researchers have proposed Web API recommendation methods based on collab.rative filtering or matrix factorization. However, the Web API recommendation performance is still limited due to the reliance on Mashup- API interaction and the ignorance of Mashup and Web API description documents. Moreover, the Mashup-API interaction matrix is extremely sparse, resulting in low accuracy in matrix factorization and collab.rative filtering. To further improve the recommendation performance, we propose a novel joint matrix factorization method for the Mashup-API interaction matrix by incorporating the Mashup-Mashup similarity matrix and the API-API similarity matrix. A set of experiments are conducted on a real-world dataset, and the experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the baselines.

With the advancement of service computing technology, the Internet has witnessed an exponential proliferation of Web APIs. However, the selection of suitable APIs from this vast pool for Mashup creation poses a great challenge for users. Various Web API recommendation methods have been proposed to address this issue, aiming to simplify the complex selection process. Despite these efforts, limited studies have been conducted on complementary function recommendation. In this context, a general complementary Web API recommendation framework based on a learning model, named CoWAR, is designed to recommend complementary Web APIs tailored for Mashup creation, based on the user’s selected Web APIs. Specifically, we propose a data lab.ling algorithm to generate the lab.led dataset based on Mashup-API interactions derived from historical Mashups and Web APIs. Additionally, we employ BERT model to generate representation vectors of Web APIs based on the functionality description documents. Subsequently, we utilize SANFM (Self-Attentional Neural Factorization Machines) to train the complementary Web API recommendation model with the lab.led sample dataset based on representation vectors of Web APIs. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work addressing the complementary function recommendation problem with a learning model. By conducting a set of experiments over a real-world dataset, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated. The experimental results demonstrate that the learning model outperforms the traditional machine learning-based models and several deep learning-based models.

With the wide use of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and online education, the large number and variety of educational resources on the online course open platform make it difficult for users to choose, and the requirements for course recommendation algorithms and model performance are getting higher and higher. The existing course recommendation algorithms often ignore the interactive information between n learners and courses and the course descriptions, resulting in poor recommendation performance. To solve the problems above, our work proposes an online course recommendation approach via exploring user interactions and course description documents. Specifically, LightGCN model is used to represent the user-course interaction graph to derive the structural embeddings of users and courses. Moreover, BERT model is used to represent the course description documents to derive the description embeddings of courses. Based on the three embeddings, ANFM (Attention Neural Factorization Machine) model is applied to perform online course recommendation by modeling low-order and high-order feature interactions, and learning the weights of the feature interactions through the attention mechanism. Finally, solid experiments are conducted over a real-world public dataset. Experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms the baseline methods under NDCG, Recall and Precision.

Energy is essential to practically all exercises and is imperative for the development of personal ***,valuable energy has been in great demand for many years,especially for using smart homes and structures,as individuals quickly improve their way of life depending on current ***,there is a shortage of energy,as the energy required is higher than that *** new plans are being designed to meet the consumer’s energy *** many regions,energy utilization in the housing area is 30%–40%.The growth of smart homes has raised the requirement for intelligence in applications such as asset management,energy-efficient automation,security,and healthcare monitoring to learn about residents’actions and forecast their future *** overcome the challenges of energy consumption optimization,in this study,we apply an energy management *** fusion has recently attracted much energy efficiency in buildings,where numerous types of information are *** proposed research developed a data fusion model to predict energy consumption for accuracy and miss *** results of the proposed approach are compared with those of the previously published techniques and found that the prediction accuracy of the proposed method is 92%,which is higher than the previously published approaches.

The explosive adoption of IoT applications in different domains, such as healthcare, transportation, and smart home and industry, has led to the pervasive adoption of edge and cloud computing. Large-scale edge and cloud data centers, consisting of thousands of computing servers, are hungry-energy infrastructure exacerbating issues such as environmental carbon footprint and high electricity costs. Developing energy-efficient solutions for cloud infrastructure requires knowledge of the correlation between computing server resource utilization and power consumption. Power consumption modeling exhibits this relationship and is crucial for energy savings. In this paper, we propose PowerGen, a framework to generate server resources utilization and corresponding power consumption dataset. The proposed framework will aid academic researchers to formulate correlations between resources utilization and power consumption by using power prediction models, and evaluate energy-aware resource management approaches in an edge-cloud computing system. It will help edge and cloud administrators to evaluate the energy-efficiency of heterogenous severs architectures in a datacenter. We exemplify the applicability of the dataset, generated by our proposed framework, in power prediction modeling and energy-aware scheduling for green computing scenarios.

ChatGPT is a language model based on Generative AI. Existing research work on ChatGPT focused on its use in various domains. However, its potential for Sign Language Translation (SLT) is yet to be explored. This paper addresses this void. Therefore, we present GPT's evolution aiming a retrospective analysis of the improvements to its architecture for SLT. We explore ChatGPT's capabilities in translating different sign languages in paving the way to better accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Our experimental results indicate that ChatGPT can accurately translate from English to American (ASL), Australian (AUSLAN), and British (BSL) sign languages and from Arabic Sign Language (ArSL) to English with only one prompt iteration. However, the model failed to translate from Arabic to ArSL and ASL, AUSLAN, and BSL to Arabic. Consequently, we present challenges and derive insights for future research directions.

Diffusion models are powerful generative models, and this capability can also be applied to discrimination. The inner activations of a pre-trained diffusion model can serve as features for discriminative tasks, namely, diffusion feature. We discover that diffusion feature has been hindered by a hidden yet universal phenomenon that we call content shift. To be specific, there are content differences between features and the input image, such as the exact shape of a certain object. We locate the cause of content shift as one inherent characteristic of diffusion models, which suggests the broad existence of this phenomenon in diffusion feature. Further empirical study also indicates that its negative impact is not negligible even when content shift is not visually perceivable. Hence, we propose to suppress content shift to enhance the overall quality of diffusion features. Specifically, content shift is related to the information drift during the process of recovering an image from the noisy input, pointing out the possibility of turning off-the-shelf generation techniques into tools for content shift suppression. We further propose a practical guideline named GATE to efficiently evaluate the potential benefit of a technique and provide an implementation of our methodology. Despite the simplicity, the proposed approach has achieved superior results on various tasks and datasets, validating its potential as a generic booster for diffusion features. With the emergence of more and more Web services, finding suitable services becomes a difficult problem. Service link prediction is employed to disclose relationships among services, which facilitates the further development of service composition, selection, and recommendation. But the existing link prediction approaches simply utilize the structural features of the service network. In reality, the rich text content in service node description documents also carries latent but fine-grained semantics generated by multifaceted topic-aware factors, yet few efforts are committed to mining them. In this paper, we propose a Web service link prediction method based on a topic-aware heterogeneous graph neural network. Specifically, the method consists of two main layers, including the meta-path intra-decomposition and the meta-path inter-mergence. Meta-path intra-decomposition aims to mine the topic distribution of the meta-paths-based context while capturing fine-grained topic-aware semantics. Meta-path inter-mergence uniquely aggregates topic-aware factors according to the mined distribution and adopts a multifaceted attention mechanism to aggregate different meta-paths, enabling service nodes to generate multifaceted topic-aware embeddings that preserve not only the structure and but also the topic-aware semantics. In addition, a topic prior guidance regularization item is set up for quality assurance of multifaceted topic-aware embedding that depends on global knowledge of the unstructured text content in description documents. Experimental results on real datasets show that our proposed model outperforms other existing baselines methods in the link prediction task, successfully validating the effectiveness of our proposed method.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic revealed the criticality of timely intervention in a situation exacerbated by a shortage in medical staff and equipment. Pain-level screening is the initial step toward identifying the severity of patient conditions. Automatic recognition of state and feelings help in identifying patient symptoms to take immediate adequate action and providing a patient-centric medical plan tailored to a patient's state. In this paper, we propose a framework for pain-level detection for deployment in the United Arab Emirates and assess its performance using the most used approaches in the literature. Our results show that a deployment of a pain-level deep learning detection framework is promising in identifying the pain level accurately.

The number of Web services on the Internet has been steadily increasing in recent years due to their growing popularity. Under the big data environment, how to effectively manage Web services is of significance for service discovery, service recommendation, etc. It is widely studied that Web services clustering is an effective way for service management. However, most of the current Web service clustering only extracts the information of Web services for clustering from one view, such as Web service content descriptions, networks in which Web services participate, and so on. Extracting information from Web services only unilaterally will not be able to provide a three-dimensional and comprehensive description of Web services, which may diminish the effect of Web service clustering. In addition, some Web service resources will be wasted if other information of Web services is not used at the same time. We find that multi-view clustering can simultaneously consider multiple information of a data at the same time, and multiple information can complement and enhance each other according to the characteristics of multiview clustering. Therefore, in this paper, we apply Web services to graph-based multi-view clustering in multi-view clustering to improve the performance of Web service clustering by simultaneously considering multiple feature information about Web services and distributing different weights to different information in the clustering process.
