This paper considers distributed online convex optimization with adversarial constraints. In this setting, a network of agents makes decisions at each round, and then only a portion of the loss function and a coordinate block of the constraint function are privately revealed to each agent. The loss and constraint functions are convex and can vary arbitrarily across rounds. The agents collab.rate to minimize network regret and cumulative constraint violation. A novel distributed online algorithm is proposed and it achieves an O(T max{c,1−c}) network regret bound and an O(T 1−c/2) network cumulative constraint violation bound, where T is the number of rounds and c ∈ (0, 1) is a user-defined trade-off parameter. When Slater’s condition holds (i.e, there is a point that strictly satisfies the inequality constraints), the network cumulative constraint violation bound is reduced to O(T 1−c). Moreover, if the loss functions are strongly convex, then the network regret bound is reduced to O(log(T)), and the network cumulative constraint violation bound is reduced to O(√log(T)T) and O(log(T)) without and with Slater’s condition, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first to achieve reduced (network) cumulative constraint violation bounds for (distributed) online convex optimization with adversarial constraints under Slater’s condition. China's western terrain is dominated by mountains, plateaus and basins, and the east is dominated by plains and hills. The mountainous area occupies 2/3 of the total national area. Due to the restriction of terrain conditions, the mechanization degree of orchard management is not high, and the lab.r intensity of fruit farmers is large and the cost is high. The desire of fruit farmers for orchard mechanization management and protection is very urgent. This system in view of the four rotor unmanned aerial vehicle developed a terrain adaptive landing gear, analysis of the terrain recognition algorithm, combined with mountain orchard plant protection drone operation requirements, the plant protection drones take operation line extraction method, the optimal path for homework, according to the characteristics of the fruit tree distribution research combines visual simultaneous localization and mapping technology and global navigation satellite system technology level of unmanned aerial vehicle navigation control method, It is of great research and economic value to combine the above methods and build an adaptive navigation control system suitable for quadrotor plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle operation in mountain orchards, and to establish an adaptive navigation system for mountain orchard plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle.

Towards Efficient Dynamic Uplink Scheduling over Multiple Unknown Channels

Age-of-Information (AoI) is a critical metric for network applications. Existing works mostly address optimization with homogeneous AoI requirements, which is different from practice. In this work, we optimize uplink scheduling for an access point (AP) over multiple unknown channels with heterogeneous AoI requirements defined by AoI-dependent costs. The AP serves N users by using M channels without the channel state information. Each channel serves only one user in each decision epoch. The optimization objective is to minimize the time-averaged AoI-dependent costs plus additional communication transmission costs over an infinite horizon. This decision-making problem can be formulated as a Markov decision process, but it is computationally intractable because the size of the state space grows exponentially with respect to the number of users. To alleviate the challenge, we reformulate the problem as a variant of the restless multi-armed bandit (RMAB) problem and leverage Whittle’s index theory to design an index-based scheduling policy algorithm. We derive an analytic formula for the indices, which reduces the computational overhead and facilitates online adaptation. Our numerical examples show that our index-based scheduling policy achieves comparable performance to the optimal policy and outperforms several other heuristics. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. The signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) optimization of through-silicon via (TSV) arrays in high-bandwidth memory (HBM) is crucial for enhancing system reliability. However, previous studies mostly focused on individual SI or PI optimization, and have not achieved SI/PI optimization with excellent convergence. Based on the physical mechanisms for the SI/PI optimization of TSV arrays, this article proposes a novel physics-assisted deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methodology. A divide-and-conquer strategy is developed to handle large-scale TSV arrays. The physical mechanisms are utilized to design the details of the DRL methodology, thereby unifying different optimization scenarios (SI optimization, PI optimization, and SI/PI co-optimization) into a single process, where designers can customize the optimization objectives based on the design requirements. The results show our methodology achieves excellent convergence and finds the final solutions with lower crosstalk and lower power noises than the state-of-the-art DRL approach across various optimization scenarios. © 2011-2012 IEEE.

ESND: An embedding-based framework for signed network dismantling

Network dismantling aims to maximize the disintegration of a network by removing a specific set of nodes or edges and is applied to various tasks in various domains, such as cracking down on crime organizations, delaying the propagation of rumors, and blocking the transmission of viruses. Most of the current network dismantling methods are tailored for unsigned networks, which only consider the connection between nodes without evaluating the nature of the relationships, such as friendship/hostility, enhancing/repressing, and trust/distrust. We here propose an embedding-based algorithm, namely ESND, to solve the signed network dismantling problem. The algorithm generally iterates the following four steps, i.e., giant component detection, network embedding, node clustering, and removal node selection. To illustrate the efficacy and stability of ESND, we conduct extensive experiments on six signed network datasets as well as null models, and compare the performance of our method with baselines. Experimental results consistently show that the proposed ESND is superior to the baselines and displays stable performance with the change in the network structure. Additionally, we examine the impact of sign proportions on network robustness via ESND, observing that networks with a high ratio of negative edges are generally easier to dismantle than networks with high positive edges. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

—Internet of things (IoT) is powering up smart cities by connecting all kinds of electronic devices. The power supply problem of IoT devices constitutes a major challenge in current IoT development, due to the poor battery endurance as well as the troublesome cable deployment. The wireless power transfer (WPT) technology has recently emerged as a promising solution. Yet, existing WPT advances cannot support free and mobile charging like Wi-Fi communications. To this end, the concept of mobile energy transfer (MET) is proposed, which relies critically on an resonant beam charging (RBC) technology. The adaptive (A) RBC technology builds on RBC, but aims at improving the charging efficiency by charging devices at device preferred current and voltage levels adaptively. A mobile ARBC scheme is developed relying on an adaptive source power control. Extensive numerical simulations using a 1,000mAh Li-ion battery show that the mobile ARBC outperforms simple charging schemes such as the constant power charging, the profile-adaptive charging, and the distance-adaptive charging in saving energy. Shipborne satellite communication antenna which is used for remote control plays an irreplaceable role in ships, it is necessary to monitor its operation state. However, obtaining sufficient fault information in mass monitoring data is particularly difficult, which greatly degrades performance of existing intelligent algorithms. In this paper, a novel meta-learning network is proposed to realize state recognition of shipborne antenna under small samples prerequisite. The network is constructed to improve generalization even though inputs collected under different operating conditions. Meta-learning network consists of sampler, feature extractor, auxiliary classifier and discriminator. It trains an adaptive pseudo-distance to evaluate the degree of correlation between different data, then realize classification task. Feasibility and effectiveness of the network are verified by three bearing datasets. Results show that the proposed method uses few samples to successfully classify mechanical data of shipborne antenna even with different rotating speed and random noise.

In this work, we report the set-up and results of the Liver Tumor Segmentation Benchmark (LiTS), which was organized in conjunction with the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) 2017 and the International Conferences on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) 2017 and 2018. The image dataset is diverse and contains primary and secondary tumors with varied sizes and appearances with various lesion-to-background levels (hyper-/hypo-dense), created in collab.ration with seven hospitals and research institutions. Seventy-five submitted liver and liver tumor segmentation algorithms were trained on a set of 131 computed tomography (CT) volumes and were tested on 70 unseen test images acquired from different patients. We found that not a single algorithm performed best for both liver and liver tumors in the three events. The best liver segmentation algorithm achieved a Dice score of 0.963, whereas, for tumor segmentation, the best algorithms achieved Dices scores of 0.674 (ISBI 2017), 0.702 (MICCAI 2017), and 0.739 (MICCAI 2018). Retrospectively, we performed additional analysis on liver tumor detection and revealed that not all top-performing segmentation algorithms worked well for tumor detection. The best liver tumor detection method achieved a lesion-wise recall of 0.458 (ISBI 2017), 0.515 (MICCAI 2017), and 0.554 (MICCAI 2018), indicating the need for further research.
