In the topic search system,some of web pages got by crawling are inconsistent with user *** this situation,this paper had a research on content-based web filtering *** paper proposed a dual feature selection method based on the CHI statistical method and N-gram,and then made binary text classification by SVM in order to achieve Web *** experiments showed that the proposed web filtering method has better results.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have promised us a new monitor and control model over the distributed computing environment. In general, these networks consist of a large number of sensor nodes densely distributed over the region of interest for collecting information or monitor & track certain specific phenomena from the physical environment. Network management in WSNs becomes extremely important and vital in order to keep the whole network and application work properly. Until now there still doesn't emerge a considerable, common agreed network management solution for WSN. This paper summarizes the uniqueness of network management protocol for WSN, provide an overview analysis of several current existed protocols, so as to find out and summarize their advantage and disadvantage, and provide some directions for the future research of network management protocol in WSN.

Detecting objects in the aerial-view scene is challenging for the objects usually have small scales relative to the image, making it hard to achieve high accuracy in full-image detection. Slice detection tries to overcome this by cutting the full image into slices before detecting them, but objects are sparsely distributed and usually clustered in local areas, a large number of background areas without objects can be ignored to improve detection efficiency. In this paper, we present PickDet, a framework for efficient and effective object detection in the aerial-view scene, which only chooses slices containing objects to conduct detection. The key components of PickDet include a lightweight convolutional network (PickNet), a screening strategy (SoftPick), and fine-tuned detectors. Given slices of aerial-view images, PickNet first outputs the probability of object existence. Then SoftPick conducts a double-threshold screening strategy to pick the slices which contain objects. Finally, all picked slices are fed into the detector in parallel and full-image detection is used as an auxiliary mean. Compared with previous methods, PickDet achieves higher accuracy and more efficiency in the aerial-view scene. We evaluate PickDet on Visdrone and Oiltank datasets, experiments show that PickDet can result in up to 28.0% AP improvement compared to full-image detection, and can result in up to 2.9% AP increase and up to 5 times inference speedup compared to slice detection.

Fine-grained visual classification aims to recognize images belonging to multiple sub-categories within a same category. It is a challenging task due to the inherently subtle variations among highly-confused categories. Most existing methods only take an individual image as input, which may limit the ability of models to recognize contrastive clues from different images. In this paper, we propose an effective method called progressive co-attention network (PCA-Net) to tackle this problem. Specifically, we calculate the channel-wise similarity by encouraging interaction between the feature channels within same-category image pairs to capture the common discriminative features. Considering that complementary information is also crucial for recognition, we erase the prominent areas enhanced by the channel interaction to force the network to focus on other discriminative regions. The proposed model has achieved competitive results on three fine-grained visual classification benchmark datasets: CUB-200-2011, Stanford Cars, and FGVC Aircraft.

The issue of fault location received extensive concern in the field of telecom network management. The data mining approaches are introduced to extract clues from the telecom alarm data for fault location. Aiming at the key problems in telecom data mining, we have made a comprehensive analysis on the telecom network and its data as well as the fault propagation, some important characteristics are discovered, and a fault location oriented network model is built to improve the traditional approaches in data transforming and data mining. An enhanced data mining algorithm is proposed to introduce the constraints in real world into the data mining procedures. A data mining tool (PRISMiner) is implemented to benchmark the new algorithm, and our experiments show that the new algorithm is quite effective in improving the accuracy and efficiency of the PreFixSpan mining algorithm.

NETCONF is a new network management protocol, based on the XML encoding method, which was proposed by IETF in 2006. It aims to overcome the shortcomings of SNMP predominantly used for configuration tasks at present. In the NETCONF protocol, subtree filtering mechanism and XPath capability is defined, both used to allow a client to select particular XML subtrees of the data model of the server. In this paper, we describe how we implement the two mechanisms and evaluate them from two aspects of functionality and performance. We find that the subtree filtering is not as flexible as XPath capability, but has better performance.

Mail sorting machines play an important role in postal automation. In this paper, we give a brief overview of mail sorting machines in China Post from a pattern recognition point of view. OCR techniques such as postcode recognition and address recognition are essential for mail sorting machines, which are considered as class imbalance problems in our study. In addition to OCR that mainly focuses on the characters in the image, some image-level features are exploited for near-duplicate envelope image matching, which is helpful in tracking pieces of mail in the network environment. © 2014 ACM.

This paper presents a new affine registration approach for planar point pattern matching. A process of parameter space clustering is implemented to confirm a one-to-one mapping between the maximal subsets of feature point sets in images. For a best performance, a coarse parameter space and a fine parameter space are used for vectors comparison. Experiments show that the method can produce positive results from a small number of feature points and intensive noise. © 2009 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

A novel text-independent speaker identification (SI) method is proposed in this paper. This method uses the mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs) and the dynamic information among adjacent frames as feature set to capture the speaker's characteristics. In order to utilize dynamic information, we design super MFCCs feature by cascading 3 neighboring MFCCs frames together. The probability density function (PDF) of these super MFCCs features is estimated by the recently proposed histogram transform (HT) method, which generated more training data by random transforms to realize the histogram PDF estimation and recede the discontinuity problem of the common multivariate histograms computing. Compared to the conventional PDF estimation method, such as Gaussian mixture model, the HT model shows promising improvement in a SI task.

Cellular towers capture logs of mobile subscribers whenever their devices connect to the network. When the logs show data traffic at a cell tower generated by a device, it reveals that this device is close to the tower. The logs can then be used to trace the locations of mobile subscribers for different applications, such as studying customer behaviour, improving location-based services, or helping urban planning. However, the logs often suffer from an oscillation phenomenon. Oscillations may happen when a device, even when not moving, does not only connect to the nearest cell tower, but is instead unpredictably switching between multiple cell towers because of random noise, load balancing, or simply dynamic changes in signal strength. Detecting and removing oscillations are a challenge when analyzing location data collected from the cellular network. In this paper, we propose an algorithm called SOL (Stable, Oscillation, Leap periods) aimed at discovering and reducing oscillations in the collected logs. We apply our algorithm on real datasets which contain about 18.9 TB of traffic logs generated by more than 3 million mobile subscribers covering about 21000 cell towers and collected during 27 days from both GSM and UMTS networks in northern China. Experimental results demonstrate the ability and effectiveness of SOL to reduce oscillations in cellular network logs. © 2016 ACM.
