The problem of new absolute stability and stabilization conditions subject to a class of Lur'e uncertain time-delay systems were proposed. Lyapunov functions combined with Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) were used to derive the sufficient delay dependent absolute stability and stabilization conditions for a class of Lur'e uncertain time-delay systems with time-delay feedback either in states or the nonlinear part through introducing a new state transformation. Finally, the absolute stability and stabilization conditions are illustrated by detailed examples. The result shows that there are distinct improvement in the aspect of conservation.

This paper first proposes a DNA algorithm based on surface for the maximal matching problem. The main idea is to generate the possible solution space step by step in the solid surface, and at the same time these fault solutions are deleted through the digestion proc.ss of restriction enzymes. Finally the influence of the edge order on the solution generating proc.ss is discussed. Our results show that the solution space can be efficiently reduced by a reasonable arrangement of the order of edges.

Fault diagnosis systems have attracted growing interest in a number of engineering fields. The number of applications has increased and successful results have been widely reported. The fault diagnosis system presented in this paper is integrated, and it monitors the states of the proc.ss and performs fault detection and diagnosis on the proc.ss equipment. The monitoring of proc.ss states is carried out by means of Kohonen Self-Organising Maps that is a powerful tool in visualisation and analysis of high dimensional data in engineering applications. This paper presents the results of SOM analysis carried out on the Outokumpu flash smelting proc.ss. The subsystems analyzed in more detail are the condition of the concentrate burner, the condition of the gas line on the basis of the pressure distribution in the proc.ss and the cooling water circulation of the waste heat boiler, and the condition of the furnace and furnace equipment on the basis of the temperature distribution in the furnace and gas line.
